PLEASE GO TO GRAVATAR.COM AND REGISTER FOR AN ACCOUNT AND UPLOAD YOUR OWN AVATAR.

Okay, people seem to have a real hard time getting their avatars to work, so here’s my in-depth tutorial on the easiest way to get your avatar to work on this blog:

1. Get an avatar. Try here.

*Avatar size restrictions: please do not make your avatar width more than 50% of the comment box (keep it below 200 pixels width). The ideal avatar size is 120 pixels across. Oversized avatars will be deleted.

2. Store your avatar somewhere. You can use a free image storage service like Imageshack or Photobucket.
Copy the link to your picture (should start with http://….)

3. Register to this blog, look on the right sidebar near the bottom. All you need is an email.

4. Check your email.

Login with your user name and password and you’ll arrive at this screen:

Click on ‘Profile’ in the top tab

5. On the new screen, click on ‘Gravatar’ in the new tab

6. Now enter the link to your picture you got in step 2

6. Look at that! you got your own avatar! For it to appear next to your comments, make sure you have the email address you used to register in the email section above the comment box.
