Naruto Shippuuden – Episode 83
Tsuande tells Sakura to relay to Naruto that she will send another team as reinforcements for Shikamaru if he does not complete his new jutsu in 24 hours. Naruto doubles his efforts with Yamato to finish his training. Kakashi and the rest of Shikamaru’s team gather to go over Shikamaru’s battle tactics for facing Hiden and Kakazu. Shikamaru hands Kakashi an empty glass vial and asks him to use it if he sees an opening. With the sealing of the Two-Tails complete, Hidan and Kakuzu continue their mission to travel to Konoha to retrieve Asuma’s body and to capture Naruto. Using Ino’s technique to possess bodies, they are able to use a hawk to spot Hidan and Kakuzu on route to Konoha. Shikamaru engages them and manages to trap them in his Shadow Imitation technique using the chakra blades left to him from Asuma. He uses Hidan to attack Kakuzu but he latter is able to free himself by using his detached hand. Shikamaru forces Kakuzu into backing into a tree, where Choji is waiting to crush down on him with his Spiked Meat Tank technique.

Really awesome chapter.
Did Shikamaru really plan to face Akatsuki only with Shino and Choji.
That would be a suicide mission, because without Kakashi they all 3 would die.
But Shikamaru develop very well, he attack Kakazu without sweating.
At his first contact he had problems to move Hidan out of the circle.
What different.
yeah without kakashi they would die…but backup is on its way:D i can wait to see narutos wind shuriken;))
I ask myself in the manga, how Shikamaru can handle Hidan without support, but now where I can see the anime
It wouldn´t be that problem to handle him, if he is alone. Because his technique is very suited to beat Hidan, distance techniques are the best weapon against him.
Wow I started to laugh when Hidan was under sikamarus showdow possesion and was attacking kakazu. I wonder what kakashi will do….? I hope it’s something awesome!
Its already known what Kakashi will do, but the question is how they put it into the anime.
True but I haven’t read the manga for this part yet (I’ll read it after this comment) once I read it I too will wonder how they will put it in…..
He seems to have used Sharingun and chodori for his first attack
This was a damned awesome ep! A few things:
1. When is Shizune going to stop doubting and over-protecting Naruto??? I hate her.
2. The last 60 seconds or so when Hidan was forcing Kakuzu back had me ROFLMAO, seriously.
3. The way Kakashi and everybody were hiding and watching the attack was hilarious! I had to rewind and watch again, too funny.
They never showed us Sakura telling Naruto to hurry up and finish in the manga. Least now we know how it went down (sort of).

that ep ruled!!! a bit too talkative for my liking though shika was awsome
and u gotta love hidan’s potty mouth 
.the part with kakuzu’s arm was a bit freaky but still cool, in a weird and disgusting sort of way 
. can’t wait for the next one. hope there’s less talky and more fighting.
this ep was good the fight was awesome and i still wanna know how kakuzo gained his ability
Kakuzu’s ability seems like a kekkai genkai because it is prevelent through out his body
nice fighting sences so far! I was laughing soooo hard when Hidain was attacking kakuzo! He’s just like “DUCK KAKUZO” It seems like they have a bond together now…maybe a friendship kinda thing.
All I have to say is WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a awesome episode with Shikamaru owning these guys.
its been a long time since i last loged in so…this episode was prety exciting…the fight has begun and backup will be on its way agfter narutp gets his jutsu done….in an nutshes cool episode

The next part is about saskue after they finish these guys off so brace yourselfs…….
This ep didn’t show nothing yet only a lil bit fight here and there but next ep will get going. What suck is the commercial messed up at the end by revealing kakashi killing kakuzu a lil too early. They should of just show that scene before it ended like in the manga. That would of been much better ending.
When reading the manga I was thinking that when it reached this time in the anime it would be awesome! I’m very excited that it has come to that point. This battle is going to be great and very enjoyable. Shikamaru is the coolest!:)
I’m happy that shikamaru steped it up a bit after Asuma died. Though I would have rather seen Asuma live but still Shika finally relized more of being a shinobi.
