Naruto Chapter 420: Kakashi VS Pein!!!

Booya! Now this is what I call a superb Naruto chapter! El Magnifigito! Well done, Kishi, it’s about time you got back to the main reason why people read Naruto —- to see Naruto kick some ass! …. Well not quite yet, but it’s only a matter of time before Naruto gets back to Konoha to get some revenge on Pein for killing Jiraiya. Though I thought it was kind of odd seeing Tsunade ordering her men to ‘call Naruto back’ when part of the reason for sending him away was to keep him hidden from Akatsuki. But I guess Tsunade must really trust Jiraiya’s belief that Naruto is the ‘Chosen Child’ because she is risking a lot by giving that order. I’m certain the Konoha elders will hold this decision against her, and maybe even call for her resignation – especially if Naruto is defeated by Pein and captured. But you know what, a phrase I keep hearing a lot in Naruto part II is “the next generation.†Naruto is part of that generation, he is the future. The Konoha elders are living in the past, they are too entrenched in their old views of the world. And Pein is also part of that old generation, he uses enemies and friends from the past as his weapons because he cannot let go of his memories… his pain. That will be his downfall. Naruto will trample over Pein. The next generation has arrived.
Oh wait, I was so excited talking about Naruto vs. Pein that I forgot to say anything about what actually happened. But before that, let’s take a look at the first colored page of this chapter. And what a nice gift from Kishi! Finally, all nine Jinchuuriki’s faces are shown. Now we’ve already seen five of the nine: Naruto, Gaara, Yugito Nii, Killerbee, and the old man — in case any don’t remember, the old man is the Four-Tails Jinchuuriki who Kisame defeated (the actual fight was not shown); now we know he is from Iwagakure (Rock Village). The Three-Tail’s host is a young boy with a stitched scar down his right cheek. He is from the Mist Village and looks like a Gaara-wannable with a weird weapon with a flower on it. The Five-Tail is also from the Rock Village and he is draped in some kind of red armor and is carrying an odd weapon on his back. The Six-Tail is some emo-kid who likes blowing bubbles through a straw and likes to stick big scrolls down his crotch (yeah, I’m not too impressed by this guy). The Seven-Tail is a kunoichi with green-hair from Takigakure (Waterfall Village) who carries something wrapped in red cloth on her back. This color page of all the Bijuu hosts was supposedly to celebrate the ninth anniversary of the Naruto manga, but I’m hoping all nine would somehow come together later on to kick Madara’s ass… and beat up Sasuke too while they‘re at it. I know all but Gaara, Killerbee and Naruto are dead now, but I can hope can’t I?
Wow, I’ve typed two long paragraphs already without actually talking about what happens in the chapter.. I better get started. The coolest thing to happen is that we see Kakashi going head to head against God Realm Pein. And good thing Kakashi got there in time or else Iruka would have bit the dust already. But as powerful as Kakashi is, I’m afraid he will only be a temporary obstacle for Pein; I mean Pein is the guy who killed Kakashi’s sensei’s sensei. Even with his speed and Sharingan, Kakashi can’t manage to hit Pein with his Raikiri. And Pein’s last move completely blows Kakashi away without him moving a muscle. Naruto better come back soon…. And Kishi, don’t you dare kill Kakashi!!!
The stupid thing is Shizune just managed to figure out the black substance inside each of Pein’s bodies is some kind of chakra transmitter. So they are kind of like remote receivers that allow Pein to control the bodies of others through high frequency chakra waves. I think this information is crucial to defeating Pein, but I can’t believe it’s taken her this long to figure it out. I mean when you’re a medical ninja, shouldn’t the first thing you do with an unknown weapon is to use chakra on it and see if it reacts. Remember guys, it’s all going to be Shizune’s fault if Kakashi dies and Konoha falls. Meanwhile, Ino’s dad finally breaks through Pein’s mind barriers when Ino runs in reporting of huge explosions across Konoha. Shikamaru’s group hears it too, and apparently it was caused by a bomb(?) concealed inside Demon Realm Pein’s head. If it was a bomb, maybe he blew himself up to in the process – but that’d be too easy I guess. Tsuande is aware of all of this and declares a state of emergency. And as I mentioned at the start, she makes the risky decision of calling back Naruto.
Speaking of risky, in the talk Fukasaku has with Naruto in this chapter, he reveals to his apprentice the fatal flaw in Senjutsu: it’s worthless in a real battle. Geee, I wonder if that’s something he should have told Naruto before they went through all this intense training. Damnit, it seems any jutsu which Naruto struggles to master has a downside: Shadow Clones weakens him by spreading his chakra among the clones, Rasengan is slow to use and requires a clone to help create, Rasen-Shuriken requires two clones to help and can cause permanent damage to his arm, and now this. The fatal flaw in going Sage mode is that it requires Naruto to stay perfectly still for a period of time to gather nature’s energy. In a battle, the enemy is certainly not going to wait around, so Naruto would always need allies to protect him. But Fukasaku has an alternative idea which he and Ma Toad have practiced with Jiraiya. By fusing with his body, Fukasaku can help Naruto gather energy by staying still while Naruto is free to run around. A good idea, but it’s kind of annoying that Naruto has to use ‘training wheels’ in battle. I would rather see Naruto activating Senjutsu on his own while his friends desperately fight against the powerful Pein to buy him some time – now that would be an exciting battle. Please make that come true, Kishimoto.

wow im very impressed with this chapter, in my opinion i think kakashi is guna lose but hes not going to die, my therie is that he will be very injured wen pain is done with him. and also the rest of the 5 pains r still going around killing, it will take an army to defeat them, i mean if j sama died taking down one, it must take alot of power to take down all of them, since j sama is stronger than most of the ninja and he can probably take down 10 ninja at the same time so who or wat can take down the 6 pains, kakashi i think isnt stronger than j sama, so thats y i think kakashi is going to lose but not die, and plus hes fighting the god realm, the most powerful of the 6, so just let me know on wat u guys think about my therie

About Kakashi – I think he’s gonna pull out some super jutsu outa his ass, but he’s still gonna lose to God Pein. He’s definately not gonna die, ’cause he’s one of the Top3 most important characters.
Also, stop givin’ Shizune such a hard time! She already has small breasts, so her life couldn’t get much worse!!!
Any theories on the three-tails and why it no longer had that little boy as a host when akatsuki captured it, maybe it has something to do with the scar.
I’m sorry, though I like the concept of sage mode and I can appreciate drawing ideas from the past, I’d really hoped Naruto would bring a fresher approach to fighting Pein. True he completed the Rasengan by adding nature chakra which is something neither the 4th or jiraiya had, but he still has not set himself apart.
Where’s Naruto’s Yellow Flash-type atttack? Or his toad mouth jutsu(mind you jiraiya took that from the toads as well)?
I just think the old approach ain’t gonna work, the “new generation” stuff really is exciting but i just don’t see it.
i a gree with you sharingan leader that kakashi will get severly beaten up BUT NOT DIE! my question is where is guy or yamato and the other jounin? was kakashi the only one smart enough to figure out that its just a diversion ?.

arex i like ur idea of naruto haveing a new approach.this reminds me of when sasuke was fighting gara.and guy sensei was saying why did kakashi teach him taijutsu if lee couldnt win,but it was done for him to learn chodori! well since pa toad saw the fight,i would think that he would teach naruto something else besides sage mode since jiraiya was in sage mode and still lost!
Gee God Realm Pein is unbeatable.Kakashi can’t even reach him to attack.I think it’s too much.Come Sasuke as a child / genin managed some hits to Orochimaru and Pein cannot be touched.Gee!!!!!!!!!!
Bob i don’t agree about your strategy.This opening that Pein left might be the most dangerous part of his body.Just think of how many different piercings can be done there!!!Kakashi’s head would be smashed. heheheheheheh…prince albert.
IM SURPRISED THAT I HAVENT SAW ANYONE REALLY TOUCH ON THIS.
besides him being able to control the 6 bodies and share the same vision.i know that we really dont have that much to go by,but i can only think of two instances when we see pains rinnengan kind of do something.
1)was in chapger 419 page 2 panel 2.if we look at all of the other close ups of pains rinnengans ther is always a black cirlce(pupil),however in this panel there is this one new circle or ripple in the eye just as he begins a new vision that allowed him to see the barrier,reminds me of the byakugan.and on page 3 panel 2 that line around his pupil is gone.in chapter 420 page 5 in the second to last panel the ripple is not there.
2)HOWEVER, in chapter 420 page 6 as kakashi looks at him with his sharingan the ripple appears again.i wonder if he was trying to counter a genjutsu?
i wonder if the eyes that were behind kakashi and jiraiya, are the eyes that belong to the orignial rinnengan user nagato ? and whenever they touch that black stick(now that we know its a chakra conductor)allows the person touching it to sense the presence of that person.it kind’a seems possible if the bodies are indeed being controlled by high frequency chakra waves.it remind me of when ever i walk into my colleges library and i have my headphones in my ears.as i walk through the metal detector my head phones interfere/pick up/recieve some of the signal as i pass through.so maybe the same can be applied to those who touch it?? just a thought thats been bothering me.also as good as kakashi is i CANT believe he’s actually touching it.
I agree with you bob and the other guys who said that Kakashi will loose but not die. But I think he could be a bigger obstacle for pein at most of you think. Because he didnt already use his MS and Jiraya fight against 6 peins and Kakashi fight against one, even he is the strongest. Kakashi could make some trouble before he loose.

the only two people who i have known in the entire naruto verse to wield a black stick/rod/ baseball bat look alike are Pain and Fukusaku.i’ve never wrote a blog on here or anyghitn like that.i’ve mentioned this several times but never got any responses as i read througth the comments,so this seemed like a good time to bring it back up and probably my last.
i mean even when we only look the things that have been done,it would seem hard to deny that there is some relation between the two.when pain(fuuma clan/god realm) stabbed jiriaya he said his chakra was out of control(maybe he was on the wrong frequency lol ?),then FUKUSAKU says its the stick which is obvious. and then when fukusaku beats naruto with a black looking stick to knock out the sage chakra in order to prevent naruto from turning into a frog in chapter 410.then fukusaku says that the staff that he summoned can knock the natural energy out of you
damn good chapter and post! i’m really happy to see kakashi in action again though he’s gettin owned at the moment. what i didnt like is that damn frog is gonna make naruto look stupid.i hoped naruto would make a few clones to fight for a bit while he gathered energy, if thats possible. cant wait to see naruto use his new skills fighting pain.
Bob you said that Tsunade make a risky decision. I agree with them but also have to say thats not only a risky decision for Naruto or Konoha but also a risky decision for the whole naruverse, because if they captured all the 9 bijuus no one can stop this power. I wonder how fast this decision come, because Tsunade didnt try to defeat pein before she makes this decision. Sarutobi, Minato and Jiraya gave their life for Konoha. In the end its the right decision but I dont like the fact that Tsunade didnt tryed to defeat pein before calling.
I wonder how Kakashi lose the control about chidori, is the reason the rinnegan or the black weapon which receive chakra flow.
I already say that in a blog before, but I dont think that Naruto activate senjutsu without fukasaku and his friends buy him some time. Rather I think that Naruto use senjutsu with pa and his friends fight against the other peins while Naruto fight against the god pein. And
My theorie is that Tsunade and sakura heal the wounds, Shika makes the strategy, Kakashi, Naruto and Yamato makes the offense while the other try to help in the background.
Good job Bobby boy, I do agree with everyone that Kakashi will get injured but not kill in this battle with God Realm Pein but i think the most important and key point in this manga in being able to defeat Pein was found out by Shizune is that Nagato is using a high pitch chakra wave to control his Pein drones and once the Leaf isolate it and make the needed device all of Pein drone will be useless and be easy for the Leaf village to stop from that point onward.
And about Naruto being called back so soon is crazy because as we all see he’s still not ready for a battle against the likes of Madara or Pein one-on-one, please let the boy get some major skills before he get beat down again Kishi.

I think its only two possibilitys to defeat pein. If you kill one of the peins he will come back to life.
Maybe Naruto should kill the god pein if he is the real pein. Or you should kill all the peins in one strike if the new jutsu of Naruto is so powerful as I think.
i hope Naruto kills Pein violently.
i also want to Kakashi to live.
1 last thing: i believe Hinata will tell Naruto her secret after the battle (preferably in a way that freaks Naruto out)

I guess we will see one of the next chapters gamabunta or gamakichi, because the girl pein can summon some monsters and it would be a challenge for the frogs. Long time has past since we saw Gamabunta fought.
You know … what would be cool, is if Hiashi or Neji comes to Kakashi’s rescue, then the three most powerful doujutsus will be in one place. Go ahead, take some time to breathe that in.
What also looks cool, is that Naruto can do shadow clones while in Sage mode. So if he can make about 200 on his own, imagine how much he could make while in Sage mode. Unfortunately, he’ll need to have Pa toad on his shoulder. Something we didn’t want to see, but it will need to be done.
Then we find out that these Peins are Radio Controlled. lol. They’re nothing more than puppets or zombies. Just some things of interest I thought … if those receivers were still lodged within the Fuuma ninja, he’d be part of the team doing some damage, which would mean, Pein would have 7 bodies. So it’s possible for him to control more than just 6, because the black spikes are receiving chakra. (pages 15 & 16) I wonder how far the REAL Pein needs to be from the rest of them. I’m not too sure, but I believe the max distance of an RF is like 1500 ft, unless there’s a relay or satelitte. So while the REAL Pein may not be involved in actual battle, he may be closer than we think.
Finally … Ino. Loved the upskirt shot. Jiraiya would have been proud. lol.

in this chapter starts a batle that will shake konoha for good…..and some years later the shinobis in the academy will learn in history class about the fight of the centuri……would be fun.Ah and i dont know what to sau about kakashi dead or not,i mean kishi is sometimes unpredictable

Pein is da’ shitz, yo… I’m still a little frustrated about the technology available the Naruverse… I see all sort of transmitters, radio communication systems, yet people are using man-drawn carts as means of transporting ( THEMSELVES !?)
I know this is reall…. REALLY… irrelevant, but it just ticks me off everytime I stumble upon it.
en-ee-way…This chapter was nothing out of the ordinary, we managed to find out a few things about Pein’s chakra transmitters (as Bob, said maybe connected with the clones… therefore cut the energy suplly, you’ll cut down the clones, the original Pein is left alone… like he, himself, isn’t already a HUMONGOUS threat).
I don’t think Naruto’s gonna manage much, maybe just exhaust Pein a little, then being cut down too, Naruto is still nowhere near Jiraiya’s understanding of power (energy chakra & sorts) … but, he might create an opening for other Shinobi (say…oh… I don’t know, Kakashi )… Kakashi must be more popular than I thought, even Pein (PEIN!?) says “It’s an honour to meet you” ?
… well, what can ya’ do…
I have no theory on the matter… since it’s pwetty damn late and my brain’s on a chain reaction to self-destruction… I’ll comment more later.
Thats why Naruto is my favorite series, its not predictable like DragonBall Z plus if someone dies in DBZ they can be brought back to life.

I guess sage mode isnt a limitless energy source, if he produce so many clones he have to share the chakra. Its more effective to concentrate the chakra on his own or less clones. I think one super weapon is more powerfull than 100 rasengan.
If the black sticks are all conductors for some sort of remote control, then in order to stop these pein’s all you need to do is simply take out those black spikes/sticks poked into the Pein.
Therefore, 1 Naruto Kage Bunshin per Stick! Yank it right out, and you’ll have a life-less body!

I found a way for naruto to not have to fuse with Fukusaka in sage mode. ^^!

Man this is the first time kakashi hasn’t shown up late. Can I get a hand clap.
As for pein/pain, there is noway kakashi will lose to him. what got me tinking is the he used his LB twice already in the begining of a fight. We don’t usually see that til the end of a battle. So I think he must have upgraded it again like when naruto started using rasegan in the start of a fight he had already upgraded it. and he still hasn’t used his MS yet. I dought if one pein can stand up to that. By the way pein isn’t as strong he is led on to be, he admitted himself that J-man would have killed him if he hadn’t kept his idenity secret from him. The leaf has a big battle ahead of them, but like all the great battles before them, they shall overcome. Just can’t wait to see the next chapter, it’s about time we got back to some real action.
Hmm.. about those chakra conductors, I think when they’re taken out, the bodies won’t die, but will become mortal. Then the real Pein probably won’t be able to control them anymore or the bodies might lose their Rin’negan.

I wonder what would happen if all three dojutsu came together? Especially since the other two were said to have evolved from the Rin’negan.
To destroy pein: My bet is that they need to behead the Demon PEIN . After that they may become mortals as J said, or merely regain their former personality.

But if the god pein isnt the real pein, you have to kill hell pein first.

I ask myself, would Jiraya be able to defeat Pein if he kill hell pein first. He already killed 4 of six but we dont know how mighty the god pein realy is. Without hell p Jiraya wouldnt lost his arm.

Poor Iruka. He finally gets some page time and he almost gets face-raped by god-realm Pein. How sad. At least Naruto has broken the rule of mixing phylums!

Pein is strong but not that strong, Jiraiya managed to beat 4 of his body witout knowing any of his abilities/techniques but now konaha noes that somhow somone else somwhere [real pein] is controlling them from somwhere, so all they have to do is try to disturb their chakra or some kinda anti-transmitter to beat them.
Kakashi will fight him for awhile, he wont die just yet, so im guessing few other ninjas will come to help him till Naruto arrives, but the question is “wat if naruto comes and goes for another Pein’s body and not the one with Kakashi?”

YEAY!!!! this chapter was really nice. The pictures of all the Bijuus was a real treat. I cant believe that Pein is finna tear down Konaha. and what will the Cloud ninja’s do when they get there and see Pein tearing down the place? will they help??? or will they run??? hopefully Konaha will be over the battle before the Cloud nin gets there. but what about killer bee? now that he is alive, i really hope he teaches Naruto how to control the 9-tailed demon.
Just think about it: if naruto can control Kyuubi and go into Sage mode……..shit, my boy will tear up Madara. And if he can master Kyuubi, then we know that he can beat the hell outta sasuke and maybe bring some sense to that foo.

hpy 9th anniversary of naruto…weeee, now we’ve alrdy see all 9 hosts…including the 4 that we’ve not yet see in action…anywayz…the chapter is getting thrill and exciting…i thought it ends of iruka, luckily kakashi arrive to save him…well done kakashi…i do believe kakashi has no match with Pein…especially the God realm pein…even Jiraiya was get hard to beat those four…and we know kakashi is not level as Jiraiya, the sannin…however, Kakashi helps alot of interrupting the search of Pain to Naruto. I will read everyone’s comments in a bit, I just wanted to share my sentiments first. Naruto Hermit Mode Damn Kishi and your lack of originality. I mean come on man, I was really digging naruto with the red eyeliner fighting with Fukasaku, now he goes on to say that its useless in battle. If Ma&Pa will keep still and draw natural chakra, why did naruto have to train to do it in the first place, I mean Jiraiya didn’t perfect it and that’s WHY he needed ma and pa (remember, when they say Jiraiya-chan, you need to learn to do this without our help?) I think Kishi has alzheimer’s. I really hope that naruto only uses ma and pa when he has to fight alone, because I would rather see him stand back, gather natural chakra while sai and sakura are fighting and then attack.
Plus his shoulders aren’t broad enough to accommodate the two frogs!

that is a good point, no one have more experience to control the kyuubi, but that is far future.
I think to control the kyuubi is one of the last steps on the way to Hokage maybe the last.
I dont understand why so many people are against the fusion, ok the side effect of the sage mode is negativ but where is the side effect of the fusion, where is the drawback. Plus Ma and Pa can help with some jutsus, Pa can attack with fire, ma with oil and Naruto with wind. I dont see the drawbacks of the fusion.
My second comment is vis-a-vis Tsunade. She really doesn’t like to leave her desk does she? And I agree with bob, it is a risky move and I would go so far as to say impractical. I mean considering what she thought about before sending the order (namely; the people she has loved who have died) it doesn’t make sense that she called him back. you know what. tsunade calling naruto back is probably going to be a dbz sorta thing…when goku called gohan to fight cell cuz he believed only him could defeat cell. but then when gohan continued to lose, goku started to doubt him and started to have second thoughts. then after that is when gohan unleashed is ss2….same thing for naruto. tsunade believs that naruto could beat pein. but along the fight, tsunade will start having second thoughts because naruto is losing. then naruto will unleash a different power. maybe the one he was trying to perfect whilst fukusaku was asleep.
also..in the first episode of naruto, we saw that the fourth hokage only came to personally defend the village after the village was nearly fully destroyed. as an hokage, he probably had to be smart about when to interfer and not foolishly go running to help the village on the first sight of trouble. so the fact that tsunade isent going to fight pein just yet shouldnt be too much of a supprise to us. the hokage probably acts as a last line of defence for a konoha
The fusion is not that big of deal except I think that instead naruto should use shadow clones to stall/gather sage chakra

Its not the same, songoku trained with songohan and know the real potential of his son, but Tsunade didnt see one minute of the training or the fight against Kakuzu, how can she know about the real potential.
the 3rd, 4th and Jiraya gave their lifes for the village no matter what. I understand if the fight is outside of konoha but its right in the middle and the duty of a hokage is to protect the village and their residents. She dont have to fight all peins but to help the rest of the team, I mean so many shinobi dies and she still be in her office.
Hope that she does something useful things in the next chapter otherwise she would be the worst Hokage ever.
why are you all complaining about tsunade not takin charge at pain, please where in the world have u seen soldiers go to war and the president was leading them, or even the general or the commander that took them to the war front, first the 3rd was killed as a result of orochimaru getting close to him, if he hasnt i am sure the konoha nins would have tried to stop him before he get to the hokage, secondly tsunade cant just go head on with pain, like the fourth hokage did when the nine tail attacked the village he didnt appear ontime, it is just a normal thing, although that does not mean everybody has to die b4 the leader appears, it is just for when the time is right, and there is nothing wrong in callin naruto back, cos i know some people want to see her injured or at the point of death b4 she makes that deciesion, well, i for one will prefer the elders dead(cos of their twisted ways and danzou too) then tsunade becomes an elder if possible with ino’s father, hinata’s father.. they wil be advisors to naruto when he becomes the hokage… i wont want kakashi dead(so far he will be a father figure to naruto) , but iruka dyin wont be bad…. to provoke naruto more, but then again he is the mother figure for now….lol….. so this is how i like it to happen…. they should really get injured , i mean really injured … so basically i just want the elders dead … then i’ll c what sasuke’s is living for….. tsunade the new elder……… if she dies … i dont c konoha being as strong as it has always been, even in the sand village, the the elders made gaara look more like a kazekage…. oh and gaara attackin first was cos he saw them after he sensed the sand nins dead….. well thats my opinion…. lets see wat kishi has in his mind

I dont think that call Naruto back is a failure, but calling Naruto back without to try something seems to me very coward. And the risk is, it would be the end of the naruverse of akatsuki catch all the 9tails.
And that makes me contemplative, risk the future of the world without trying to stop pein on herself and without the knowledge how far narutos training is. To see how the opponent slaugter the residents without any chance isnt the challenge of a hokage. The 3rd would face Oro in any cases, because he know that the other shinobi wouldnt a match for Oro.
I imagine what will a Hokage Kakashi or Minato do in the same situation.

I agree with you that calling Naruto back without to try something is bad move but how can you say that for you that seems very coward. Tsunade is not a coward and I’m sure that she will face to face with Pain really soon and she will fulfilled her destiny as a Hokage. She will die in battle but before she die she will find out Pain’s weakness.

i d not think tsunade will die because it would be a waste of her character she is the only one qualified to be hokage, everyone thinks kakashi will be hokage but he does not seem like the type. he would rather read his porn than do anything like be the leader of kohona. also if tsunade dies i doubt danzou will allow any one other than him to be hokage causing a civil war. also if kakashi can not even handle one body while jiriaya killed 3 he is not worth being hokage especially if naruto saves him and ends up defeating pain. that would make kakashi much weaker than naruto. so i think tsunade will remain hokage until naruto is ready to succeed her and she will step down like the 3rd did for minato.

Back on Tsunade topic, well she called Naruto so he could come on time, but she will fight Pain till Naruto arrives and give her a hand.
But the overall thing about her is getting LAME, like so far we hve seen her do pretty much noting, like that filler, the village almost got burnt into ashes by those 4 intruders and yet wat she did was, “[angre mode] Shikamaru, hurry up and come up with a plan and tell everyone we are in emergency state 2″ ROFL thats all she did. The fact that Naruto needs to fuse with Fukasaku to make full use of the Sage mode is a major drawback. I’m just curious: Fukasaku isn’t going to be around forever to fuse with Naruto whenever the need arises. Who will take Fukasaku’s place if this happens? Having said this, I also think that there is no perfect jutsu (this deduction includes Kekkei Genkai e.g. Rinnegan).
I am more interested in Inoichi’s progress in his mind reading than those chakra receiver rods.
I think Pain will ravage Konoha, leaving not too few casualties. But after realizing that Naruto isn’t there, he will depart from the battle. Pain’s exit will be Naruto’s entrance.
Note to Kishi: I’ll strike a deal with you. You can kill Tsunade and the elders (I’ll also throw in Danzou) but please spare my Kakashi’s life, ayt? =D

You dont know how old Fukasaku can be, maybe he live longer than Naruto.
And I´m sure one day Naruto would be able to control the kyuubi and than combine it with the sage mode.
And than he wont need Fukasaku any more.
@83, combining the chakras would be amazing, but what if in a way similar to the 8 tails, naruto was able to have the kyuubi as a compliant partner, though i doubt the kyuubi feels Naruto would need any use for another source of chakra with himself residing inside, but what if the kyuubi was the one to collect it for him?
and that hidden leaf symbol just has to be a screw up…which is so funny to me for some reason, also notice that the god pein has the ring, and i still believe the rings have to play some part in the final ritual

i’ve been wondering thisfor a long time now is that isn’t it a down fall if naruto cant control his tailed beast just yet.im mean its really nice that he’s trying to keep his vow of not relying on the power of the kyuubi but against people of sasuke and others level such as madara and pain.it would be to his advantage to have it under control to a certain degree.
i was thinking that maybe he could rely on the kyuubi once his regular chakra and/or sage chakra has been depleted.

When Naruto fuse with Fukasaku in order for one of them to gather to activate sinjutsu rite? So did anyone did think that when they fuse together, naruto can go on 9 tails and Pa & Ma toad could keep the Kyuubi’s chakara under control like they are doing with Nature chakara, at least they will be able to control more than 4 or 5 tails if they cnt control 9 tails.

I already knew that Nagato was controling those pain bodies with those black sticks because it’s so obvious. There’s a whole bunch of them piercing through all 6 pain bodies even the animals he summon has em. That was the first clue you could guess. But where in the heck did he find those weird stick from? and the animal he summon? Something’s bothering me, is Demon Realm Pain even human? or is he a machine? what color is he? I dunno about you guys but I see him as a cyborg with white pale skin. How did he do all that stuff he’s been doing? That’s a really weird jutsu. Kakashi rules!

I see 3 possible meanings:
a) Pein can reflect or duplicate another ninja’s power. And Kishi used that image to hint how Pein anticipate Kakashi movements (and move like Kakashi use to do) and used Kakashi’s chidori against him.
b) is a genjutsu
c) the puppeteer was once a ninja from Konoha.
Had anyone considered that the Rinnengan can be an evolution of the Byakugan ? (something I said before)

I agree with those that stated that real user of the rinnengan can be seen by Jiraya and Kakashi the moment they made contact with the black stick
I think the DEMON Pein is like an ANTENNA, have a mayor function among the puppets. So if they behead him, this can give the opening to interference with these devices and defeat the 6 puppets.
I hope Pa toad take the black stick to the battle and bit Pein with it . Could be funny and usufull

Kishi Glitch!? I think the part about Pain using Konoha forehead protector might be just a simple mistake on Kishimoto drawing. Maybe he was rush to finish the chapters and forgot he was drawing Pain instead of Kakashi. lol.
i have a feeling for some reason that the six tails creature will be a catfish, what do you guys think of that idea?
Okay a couple of observations that i made about this chapter.
1st… I think the 6 tails is a kage. I’m basing this the fact that throughout the anime and manga, every kage that I have seen does not wear their villages headband and protector after they became kage and if you look at the picture notice that the only two that are not wearing their protector is gaara and the 6 tails.
2nd: the 3-tails is one of the 7 swordsman of the mist. It would make sense because of the blade he is carrying and we can deduce that all 7 swords a distinct characteristic.
3rd: I like the idea of the Fusion with ma and pa toad. While Naruto is attacking they act like batteries storing natural chakra, thus eliminating the need for him to be still. What I wonder is what is the purpose of both toads. I’m guessing that both can gather while Naruto is using taijutsu and one is only gathering if he is using Ninjutsu. Another reason for the two can be so that Naruto can stay in sage mode longer than just a few minutes. As long as one of the two toads are drawing Natural Chakra, he should be theoretically be able to switch between either toad or use both to speed up the process. Don’t forget that MA and Pa toad can do ninjutsu as well.
4th: THIS IS HYPOTHETICAL !!!!! Naruto will learn to master kyuubi. once he is able to do that he will be able to go into sage mode without the the help of Pa toad. If kyuubi and Naruto become like Killerbee and the 8-tails i can see a substitution jutsu that allows naruto to gather while kyuubi is on the attack. This right here is a little far fetched, but it is possible.
I will be back with more when I think of some more.
this has been the best manga chapter in a while! But in order for naruto to be strong enought to beat Pein. He needs to learn how to summon frogs like how J-sama could! how is he going to fight Animial realm if he cant even summon a frog that would listen to him

What I predict is that Naruto will not make to Konoha somehow (despite the fact they have a cellfrog). He will not know that Konoha is getting destroyed and than some of his friends or respected people die. I don’t know…but I got a feeling that this is going to happen. The elders might keep Tsunade from doing that or, perhaps, the cellfrog dies by Pein’s hand or something like that.
I wonder if Pein’s attack was a shock sound wave. He just used his eyes to do that. At least I have the feeling that we’ll see Kakashi use jutsus he hasn’t used in the series before (like lightning jutsus).
Also, I wonder what Danzou will do about this. Probably this is the time when we learn if he is Madara or not.
If what I predicted in my first paragraph is somewhat true, there is no chance that Naruto will become Hokage anytime soon, which means that Tsunade will have to put her boobs on fire for Konoha’s sake. By doing so, she will perish, leaving the Hokage office open. Judging from this feasible occurrence, Kakashi will not die because I don’t believe there is anybody in Konoha now who is apt for that title (also, both start with K). However, Danzou could try to run for president again. I don’t know.

LOL @majestis2003 i just read the new chapter. your right about the spoiler… I’ll save most of my comments for the next blog, but one thing that i saw was that jutsu that nartuo was working on is something amazing!!! being able to cut down three mountains, I can’t wait to see him use it in an actual battle… btw what happened to my avatar i hope it wasnt too big. if so can someone please resize it for me.
btw you have a point about the 3 tails being a replacement… either that or he is the original three tails and he somehow died on the attempted coup against the mizukage. That could explain why in the manga the three-tails didn’t have a host when it was captured.
