Naruto Manga Chapter 419: Enka Ninja? WTF!?

Before I begin burrowing into this week’s chapter, I’d like to have readers to take a moment of silence for our friend DarkLurker_4thLegacy who passed away earlier this week of an ongoing illness. DarkLurker was well known on Shannaro!!! as an excellent fan fiction writer and was one of the official authors, you can view his past works here. We have a special blog post planned as a tribute to him. DarkLurker also left behind two unpublished fanfics which we will also release in the near future.
A further announcement I’d like to make is that the Bleach website which I have been quietly working on: www.bleachedichigo.com is now officially open to people to contribute Bleach-related articles. The site is meant to be identical to Shannaro!!! In many respects so the same rules apply there. If you are a Bleach lover, head on over and check it out.
Now, for the actual chapter. It has a short but to the point title: ATTACK!! Pein and his team wastes no time in carrying out their plan to invade Konoha and flush out the Nine-Tails. Pein’s strategy is precise but is not as covert as previous two-man Aktsuki operations have been carried out. But I guess when you’re as powerful as him, you don’t need to worry about being too stealthy. Pein is accompanied by six of his bodies plus the Konan with the black hair. The new Pein body which had been referred to as Konan before, has replaced the one killed by Jiraiya. Shino Aburame and Siskin were dead-on when they wrote in this blog regarding how the six bodies of Pein are divided up. The bodies are broken up into Demon, Animal, Hungry Ghost, God, Human and Hell Realms. The original Pein (in Yahiko’s body) is God realm and he will lead Konan, Human and Hell Realm on reconnaissance to find the Kyuubi’s host while the remaining realms create a diversion (ie. DESTROY ALL HUMANS!!!) Read Shino and Siskin’s blog for a better explanation of what each realm means. According to the myth, the God Realm, though powerful, is not immortal… this means the original Pein can be killed and his death may lead to the death of all his other bodies as they are all linked by his Rinnegan. This may be the key to stopping Pein’s rampage in Konoha. But Jiraiya’s clue about “the real one isn’t there†is still worrying because it suggests that the real Pein (the one which can be killed) is not amongst the group of six at all.
In a very clever move, the Animal Realm Pein is thrown through the detection barrier around Konoha in order to fool the barrier team into thinking only one intruder entered Konoha. Once inside, Animal Realm quickly summons his companions inside. Oddly, the black-haired Konan is able to be summoned as well even though she does not appear to be tied to Pein through the Rinnegan. This is strange because I was under the impression that only peoples/creatures under some type of special contract or connection (ie. Rinnegan) may be summoned by another. Kishi also covers his tracks by explaining that Itachi and Kisame was able to enter Konoha without alerting the barrier guards because Itachi was part of Konoha’s ANBU and knew special tricks. Anyways, I don’t really need to explain, but all the Peins start causing a big mess inside Konoha. The Human Realm guy has the incredible ability power to read a person’s mind and can even finish the victim off by ripping out his soul… brutal.
Back in Cloud Village, the Raikage orders the team of…. Ah geez I forgot their names already…. I kinda want to call them Breasts, Lolipop and Washboard, but I might as well get them right. Okay… they are Samui, Omoi, and Kurai, respectively. And being the powerful ninja they are, they receive the highly dangerous mission of delivering a message to the Hokage. Well, I think we know what’s really gonna happen, they’ll probably end up arriving in Konoha at a crucial moment to assist in the fight versus Pein, and I bet their powers are specialized in just the right way to be a perfect match for which ever of Pein’s bodies they will face. I see through your plans, Kishi!
The part where the Raikage starts tearing up when Omoi mentions the fate of Killerbee (Eight-Tails Jinchuuriki) got me to chuckle a bit, especially when Omoi and Kurai joined in. It seems like they, along with Killerbee, were all students under the Raikage. This whole student-sensei relationship thing they have reminds me a lot of Might Gai and Rock Lee. With the Spirit of Youth, I’m sure they will be able to save Killerbee from Akatsuki…. Or so they think
At that moment, Madara, Kisame and Zetsu were in the process of extracting the Eight-Tails when suddenly Killerbee’s body reverts into a tentacle. Are you kidding me!?! It was a replacement jutsu and nobody noticed?? Not Sasuke, not Karin the chakra-bloodhound, and not Madara or anybody else in Akatsuki!?! C’mon, Kawarii no Jutsu is a D-rank technique which are taught to Genins!! Bah, whatever, I’m thinking Sasuke probably planned this all alone because he has stated clearly before that he is the one who plans on using Akatsuki and not the other way around. It turns out Killerbee escaped being toasted by Sasuke’s Amaterasu because he was hidden inside on of the limbs Sasuke had chopped off during their battle. It seemed strange from the very beginning that he chose to transform into his beast form when he was already winning the battle against Team Hawk in his normal body. So why did Killerbee pull off this elaborate deception? Believe it or not, he was just bored and didn’t want to be trapped in his village all the time just because he’s a jinchuuriki. And what will Mr.Bee do with his new freedom? Sing Enka and find Sabu, the leader of the Enka ninjas? WTF?? This is enka, a traditional Japanese song style. Now imagine an entire ninja village that’s devoted to singing this stuff… I think I need to give Kishi a call…. Well, even though his motives are completely stupid, Killerbee has at least thrown a big monkey wrench into the gears of Akatsuki’d big plan. Next chapter: Rampage in Konoha!!!

In 415 Sasuke close the deal with Killerbee in the illusionary world; at the same time that he saved Karin from Amaterasu.
Note that he used -Right & Left MS- one for Gengutsu (made the deal) & the other for Ninjutsu (save Karin).
Then Sasuke touch his pocked, and looks like he has something there (415 page 10). Is that Killer bee pay… a weapon… a new power for Sasuke?
Sasuke wrapped the fake Killer with his Akatsulki’s cloth (415). so the cloud’s ninjas didnt realize it was a fake.
After all Sasuke thinkj that have enought power to crush Konoha. I wonder if Killerbee gave him something related to dark side of Kyubi.

Wow, perfect. And the fact that his bijuu told him he sucks at rapping; even funnier.
Bob and SU, of course I agree with the Sasuke-Killerbee theory. Either in some genjutus like SU said or something. See in one of those cases (probably the second one) where we think Sasuke almost died, especially since it was right after Sasuke put the 8-tails in genjutsu, I think it and the fight after that was planned by Sasuke and the 8-tails. Which is why, even though the fight looked kind of one sided to us, the killerbee remarks that Sasuke is one of the toughest guys he’s ever fought; because Sasuke might have had more of an upper hand than we could see.
As for the Peins; I love ‘em! They’re a little brutal sure, but they have this scary/dangerous factor that I’ve been missing ever since the original Gaara.
I wonder what the recon team will do when they find out Naruto isn’t there.
And how the hell is Tsunade going to find time to do a Kage summit with all this going on.
And I don’t know why, but I am dying to know who is stronger; the Raikage or Killerbee?!

Hmm… This chapter has revealed only one thing: That somebody from ‘Shannaro’ actually guessed right about something connected to Pein!!!! This has never happened before!!! It’s like a miracle!
Anyways, this Enka thing sounds ok… But I just don’t see Bee as an enka singer…
Pein is quite brutal. Me likey! As for his real body, at one point I thought it might be Konan, or even Danzo, but that would vey illogical…
As for Sasuke, he might’ve let Bee go for one reason or another, but even if he did, I don’t think he got anything from Bee (except injuries).
It seems more likely that Bee used an advanced Kawarimi (sorta like Orochimaru’s), which is much harder to see through than an ordinary Kawarimi. It just seems to early for Saskue to start fuckin’ around with Akatsuki…
This chapter was weird. One thing that is bothering me is who is the byukugan user in the chapter. Is it Hinata’s dad or just anouther member of the Hyuga clan.
I think Killerbee had to have some assistance by sasuke. Sasuke must of known that the body was a fake. Comeone that is like a academy taught jutsu. I think Sasuke planned it out so that Killerbee escapes. He wants to use them. Remmeber in the battle when Sasuke thought of his old and new team. I think is was there to show us he cares about cares about Naruto. He knows that once the 8 tails was extracted, Naruto would be next. So to slow down the hunt on Naruto, Sasuke let KillerBee escape. Also Sasuke from Madara and Itachi must of known about what would happen if all the tailed beasts were captured. So to honor his brother, he is doing his part to stop Akatsuki. He must of realized what would happen if Akatsuki had all the tailed beasts at there disposal.
And yeah the cloud ninja will arrive in time to help Tsunade fight Pein. I think though she well send word out to Pa toad about the attack. Pa will keep Naruto with him and train him more. I think though, Pa will send some toads to Konoha to assist in the fight.

This Really was a good chapter in my eyes.
FINALLY we see pein attacking konoha! And not only that but we see that the eight tails is still alive. Wonder what he’s going to do now and is akatsuki going to be able to get the real one back. Not only that but what kind of punishment will sasuke recieve for getting the wrong one. And what’s with the raikages tears? Your leader man so man up!
I hope the next one has more pein action though. And lets get to see naruto in the next chap!

I’m really excited by this chapter. Something really epic is gonna take place and I just so wish it was in the anime already. The only thing I didn’t like was the tentacle thing. I mean come on, nobody noticed? Not even Zetsu?
If in fact Sasuke made arrangements with Bee, he really has this whole Emo thing down … cause Madara’s gonna kill him. lol. So then he may not need the 8-tails, because he already has it. In a manner of speaking.
Pein attacking Konoha is crazy, and it’s just gonna get even crazier. Will Konoha be able to withstand Pein’s attack long enough till Naruto returns? Will we see some of our favorite nins bite the dust? Will the next generation be able to step up and help out? All this and more, find out on the next exciting episode of Dra … Naruto Shippuuden!

I dont thought that pein is so strong, I guess it will comes to many suprising jutsus and abilitys of pein which he never showed in the fight against Jiraya, maybe he showed only 50% in the past fight.

I thought that pein will infiltrate konoha silently, but I dont thought that he hit Konoha so hart like this.
I just can’t see Sasuke caring about anyone but himself and the Uchiha clan. If he did plan for Bee to escape then i don’t see the point of accually capturing him in the first place and getting Taka so injured.
And I thought that the rest of Akatsuki wait for pein to extract the bijuu, because I thought that the extraction didnt work without pein.
But I´m happy to see that killerbee is alive, because that would be lame if the 8th defeated by amaterasu, because even Sasuke was able to manage the amaterasu.
I agree with you bob, if the real pein is under the six bodies it would be the key to kill the leader. But if the real pein isnt there it would work if Naruto complete his super weapon and kill all peins in one strike. It would stop the attack for the moment.
Great post. This was a awsome chapter. Full of action, my favorite. I’m also glad to see that killerbe is alright. It seems that killerbee knew what he was doing all along. Hes smarter then he looks. So he do know how to use his demon, seems to be very good at it. If it took three days and three nights to extract the bijuu then it well take five days with three ppl right? Sasuke needs to let go of the uchiha clan, just let go of the past and focus on the future. He needs to let go of vengence, its killing him inside. I hope to see the Eight-tailed in action again as well as the next chapter.^_^
I wrote this before reading the breakdown as im reading the chapter.
I thought lasts week chapter was awesome but this was even better to me. The first thing I noticed is that all of the pain bodies are named with realms, which I believe describes their powers. Such as the big guy who absorbed all of jiraiya’s attacks is the hungry ghost realm. The human realm seems to be physical/taijutsu may be guy sensei will fight him?! The spiky head guy with the constant sinister smile who blew off jiraiya’s arm is not human… he can frickin launch his arm like a missile and shoot individual missiles. We haven’t seen any helm realm powers and of course the god realm who is giving the orders. I purposely left on out for later use. Does anyone besides me notice that none of them argue against the god realm? I guess it makes sense, there’s no point in arguing with urself lol. I also like how they have conan standing behind the god realm as if the has some control over him or in some way has and or will help him with his jutsu. Or it can be nagato’s way of showing that he wants to protect conan.
Well moving on the demon realm cant be human. Its not possible for any ninja to launch a person through the air like that?! And I never knew that Konoha had a barrier up like that because of the way the sound 4 spoke of the village and how easy Itachi got it, but now we know how. If that whole demon theory is true with the Uchiha clan having chakra more sinister than a demons, after reading this chapter I’d have to describe the Rinnengan as being more similar to the Byakugan. I’m glad that we finally get to see the eye’s power in greater detail. We’ve seen the sharingan as kakashi copied zabuza and sasuke looking at naruto with the tension marks on him at the valley of the end.we’ve seen a ton of the byakugan with neji in the chuunin exams and the rescue sasuke mission against the spider man, seeing in the abstract view.
This is good and bad. Meaning even though pain beat jiraiya with his techniques, he technically didn’t use any eye powers… you understand what im saying ?? I didn’t recognize those 3 circles until it showed the entire sphere and the same symbol on that mans hat, which we now know as the barrier team. Pain is smarter than I thought for launching animal realm, which isn’t unexpected. The on thing that troubles me is that in the last panel of page 4, it has animal ralm in the air AND THERE ARE NINJA BELOW HER! As she lands on the roof she summons the others and then they scatter.
The person I left out earlier was the animal realm, which suggest that she summons animals. I did that because I wanted to see if she would have the same abilities as the body that she is replacing, and she does. She summons animals just like he did. This is very important because it reinforces jiriays’s theory of the body’s having one unique ability. For all we know it’s a feminine looking male ?? WTF lmao!!!
I cant believe that as she summons the centipede the shinobi on the left runs away… what a p**sy!
Its also ironic that a hyuuga ninja is there. Maybe we’ll get a long awaited Rinnengan vs. Byakugan?
I first noticed this in the spoiler pictures. It seems like the human realm can like snatch out souls! WTF ? I’m surprised that he didn’t try this on jiraiaya ? That is a wicked power. And the Raikage sucks for crying infront of his ninja, at least tsunade did hers in private.
I cant believe that Madara is actually doing work. And I want to know how Sasuke messed up. I wonder if he left one of the tails in the water as It got burned off my Amaterasu. OH I know how, it was when Sasuke was saving Karin and he used Chidori to cut off one tail. Maybe all the tails need to be present to be sealed. Zetsu is hilarious… but he cant fill in for Tobi. There you go Bob, that’s the sub title for the chapter lol. Or something along those lines.
And I just knew somehow that he was alive. The eight tails is the biggest deceiver of the all. And his conversation brought about some revelations. We all thought that Sasuke’s victory over the eight tails was far too easy, but now it seems that he let himself get captured in order to escape from his meddling brother. The eight tails mentions good points. Will akatsuki stand for this. For all we know madara and/or zetsu could already be using the teleportation moves to track him because I know they wont stand for it. He mentions that Killer Bee had to summon him… he actually summoned it. As his subordinates karui, samui, and omoi said that killer bee cant be destroyed, that’s a bit of a stretch, but non-the less he is powerful. So this is how the 2 tails had her beast around her. Its actually a summons. If killer bee can summon the eight tails, is he a match for madara who can summon the 9 tails ? and he summoned him because he got carried away fighting sasuke who he says is the strongest he’s fought.
And the last few words by the 8 tails is really nice to hear.he says that he thinks a new era is coming. Does this coincide with Naruto being the destined child ? and no Killer Bee it isn’t because of ur Enka!
But if the real pein isnt there and all the six bodies will be kill by Naruto and the others. The real one would collect some new bodies. They have no choice, they have to reveal the secret of pein and find him. Otherwise it wouldnt end.
I like the missile technique and the soul snatch technique. I´m so corious to see who fight against which pein. I guess Tsunade against god pein, Kakashi against demon, yamato against hell, Shikamaru against ghost and the the rest as a group carrie about the others. Cant wait to see the next chapters!!!!!

You know how they say that the rinnengan person who evented ninjutsu.and we’ve all seen how naruto was summoned to mount myou… something.well what if konan signed a contract with pain? or maybe its like how itachi implanted his eye techniques into sasuke ?? or very similar.
Killerbee is quite comical.
I do enjoy that. However, it seems such a paradox when you put it next to the serious tone of the 6 peins. I dont know how they are goin to draw this out in Anime form. I await the day we get to watch this episode…

Jeez, the manga creaters need to start making longer chapters. Only 17 pgs WTF!!! I wonder how Konoka is going to counter Pein’s attack, they’ll probably call Shikamaru for a strategy, the man is a genius after all.
I wonder if Pein, would really use Jiraiya’s body as a weapon. (Check out my avi pic, if Pein does use Jiraiya he’ll look like that.)
Lastly can’t wait to see Naruto’s new jutsu.

Killerbee is so cool, but I ask myself how can be a typ like him become so powerful, because he is such a lazy man and have not much motivation to fight and protect his village.

Bob youre right that a replacement jutsu is a D-Rank jutsu but I guess it was a special RJ because it was a part of the 8th. Normally shinobi use a piece of wood or something else.
I thought this chapter was good. I didn’t see killer bee coming back, it was a bit of a surprise, and it was cool seeing Pein commence his attack on kanoha.
Also i was thinking, Zetzu, Madara, Kisame, and Sasuke were the only ones doing the sealing. I know Pein’s group was on their way to Kanoha, but what about Sasuke’s group, they could of helped out, unless it takes a lot of chakra control to do the sealing.
SORRY. I messed up the Peins in the firs comment. And about Sasuke, Lady Hinata made me see that the genjutsu must have starteded.
I am under the impression that the six Pein are like the Voodoo living death, so may be the HUMAN-PEIN collect the bodies. The shinoby he killed in page 8 made me think this, because Pein extracted his soul or consentience, the one screaming is the ghostly figure, not the body.
If the Six’s Pein were corpses: (a) they would have retrieved Jiraja’s body (b) Jiraya could have not killed one.

GOD-PEIN is the leader among the puppets. But he is not always the same puppet. The one that claimed to be GOD-PEIN initially is dead now (chap 373 page 10). So these Puppets can change their status.
I don’t think Konan is the Puppeteer because she is always near Pein and she has never the Rinnengan on.

: one of them opens the room in witch the other six were laying in capsules. The Puppetter could be this Pein number 7 (Nagato or the Sage of the Six Paths)
But still the puppeteer can be Zetzu or Madara

Pein’s rings men ZERO, so it can be worthless. And the equation will be 9 Rings, 9 Akatsukies, 9 Bijuus
Pein can be the name of a combo of puppets.

It seems that the replacement for the death pein is not weaker than his forerunner, but where comes this strong shinobi or makes peins curse them stronger?
In this rate, Konoha will be shrinking to a little village. I mean Oro, the rock ninjas, the flying ninja in the 5th movie and now pein attacks Konoha. So many shinobi died, how will Konoha compansate this.
Ok well I like this chapter didnt really touch on what I wanted it to touch on as , in further investigation for Naruto’s new move or somthing, but all in all we kno thats not gonna be shown for a while, I am happy to see the black guy who was so easily defeated up on his feet tricking Team Hawk also , I kinda think that he went all out his way to show his true form when he was already winning so that he would know what to do when the time comes , he must have been studying what to do , analyzing sasuke’s moves, but we will see, also Bob good info there as in the three from cloud will be the ones helping out the leafs

I have a question , this might have been answered already but I would like to know and further understand the rinnengan I dont understand it, one thing is that it allows you to be able to use all 5 elements chakra wise but what else does it allow you to do, Im guessing taking over poeples bodies… does that mean they are dead or they are trapped minds in their own bodies being controlled from someone far away.

Yeshua: The Rinnengan has never been fully explained except a few clues. These clues are that 1. If you have it you are decendant from the first ninja who created ninjutsu in all its forms 2. If you have it you can control all chakra elements (Because you decend from the original gangsta, I’m mean ninja) 3. You can bring back the dead (This has something to do with budism [see link above]) 4. Some people belive that the rinnengan alows you to control these bodies as if they were your own but because of the recent chapter I think they mearly do your biding and allow you to see out of their eyes (They are loyal because otherwise they would die). I think this because they comunicate in the last chapter. hope that helped!

Silver Uchiha i dont think there are 7 peins… at the link you gave, yes there are six bodies lying in the capsules but the one that opened the door is among them. if you look at the previous page you will see him lying in to his own capsule… maybe the reason he did this was just because he was going to use only the animal realm body for hunting down the intruder so he put the one he was currently using to rest. And afterwards when he saw that he could not handle Jirayia with just one body he called in the rest.
I still believe that the six bodies are being controlled by someone else and as per Jirayia’s message he is not among the bodies of Pein. I think that the black piercings all Pein’s bodies have are of some importance… maybe they are the means of controlling them.
Also, i think Kishi kind of already showed us this as Shizune was examining the black material under the microscope… therefore we would expect some results to come out of this..

so what happened to the yang chakra? was it sealed somewhere else? does madara have it? does this mean that naruto does not have the entire kyuubi sealed inside of him? maybe by having just the yin chakra without the yang part causes instability to naruto?
Also, Jirayia said that he knew Minato very well as he was his sensei and he believed that Minato didnt just seal the kyuubi in his son just to give him power or because he though if it had to be someone it may as well be his son… Jirayia believed that Minato knew something else on which he decided that naruto was the one to seal it in? What did Minato know? Damn kishi… i have no idea how he is going to tie all these together…

yea great breakdown there. i have to disagree though about sasuke planning out Bee’s survival. The only reason he was able to use Amaterasu was because he thought about everyone protecting him (team kakashi, team hawk) and he decided to fight to protect once again. It was that will to live and to protect that enabled him to even use Amaterasu in the first place. you don’t fight like that and discover latent powers when you’re trying to not kill your opponent. I think the situation was that Bee saw a genuine opportunity to fake his capture to gain some freedom from his village…and i think this will come into play later on if naruto is indeed captured because it will give people more time to save him.
in regards to the 6 realms of pain, here’s what i think. each realm has 1 type of jutsu they are able to use, but any jutsu within that type probably apply. for example:
animal realm – summoning (offensive body)
hungry ghost realm – defensive ninjutsu
hell realm – could be either offensive ninjutsu or taijutsu…he just looks too baddass to not be either
demon realm – unsure. in shino’s information the demon realm is the demigod who is in envy of the god realm. possibly copies other’s jutsu?
human realm – genjustu (as he has not been used offensively yet, and was the only one with his eyes closed during the fight with jiraiya)
god realm – i think it has to do with sensing abilities as he is the one who gives the orders and even has the RAIN ability that allows his to know where any of his opponents are. probably adept at barrier jutsu as well…and if possible will be the gatekeeper to Nagato.
having 1 ability for each body doesn’t make total sense though, because there is still the extremely powerful and unique ability to use all 5 elemental jutsus. its possible whenever we get to see the real nagato that he will fight with that ability, as the bodies are just his safe way to fight and he seems to have a vast supply of them anyway. they’ll probably be destroyed by naruto and company once they uncover the truth, but i definitely dont think Pain himself will be defeated.
as a side note i think that nagato may hide himself entirely in a different dimension (possibly where ninjutsu originated) and uses that black material (used as his weapons and in the bodies) is used to control chakra flow. this makes sense because it would allow him to control separate bodies easiser…and also remember when Jiraiya was stabbed and his “chakra went crazy”, the panel showed the rinnegan eyes above him as if pain was attempting to take control of his body and chakra.
i also don’t think that konan is part of Pain’s persona, as she talks completely separately and converses with the yahiko body, whereas none of the other bodies have spoken to each other besides Yahiko. she most likely uses her abilities to protect the yahiko body and travels with it everywhere if my theory about his sensing abilities is indeed true.

Well actually Byakyugan has only the ability to see the chakra points and flow through the bodies.It also can track enemies and scan the environment from far distances.It hasn’t got any “”offensive”" attack or something.Rinnengan is even more powerful than Sharringan.And Byakyugan is not as powerful as sharingan is although Byakyuugan “helped” in sharingan’s creation.

@Sasuke making a pact with the 8tj: Sasuke clearly said on chapter 417 that he does not need to rely on the 8tj’s power anymore because he has a new power now. Still I think that the 8tj’s escape isn’t a dereliction on Sasuke’s part. He has to know about it. There must be a big reason why Sasuke let the 8tj off the hook, knowing full well that he’ll be answering to Madara for this “mistakeâ€.
@Madara’s statement on Chapter 417 that they (the senior Akatsuki members) need to wait for Pain: I thought that Pain will be needed to initialize the bijuu extraction. But based on the attendance, only Madara, Zetsu and Kisame were present at the time. I think now that the statement meant that they need Pain to deliver the final jinchuuriki. (Note: less number of extractors = longer extraction time)
I also think that Konan has a bigger role in all of these. I might be wrong but she’s always around whenever Pain’s bodies are in motion.
Another unexpected character: A member of the Hyuuga clan is among the members of the barrier team. Wonder if we’ll be seeing more jonin from the various Konoha clans during Pain’s attack.
Lastly, it was funny to see the Raikage and lollipop boy and washboard girl (Bob’s terms) crying for the 8tj. Well, we should know by now that most of these comical characters are actually the most capable shinobi (e.g. Gai, Lee, Jiraiya and of course Naruto).
S_U, about the “7 Peins”… Don’t worry, there are only 6… Ya see God Pein opens the door, lies down, closes his eyes,, falls asleep and then the Anumal Peon opens his eyes and says: “Time to hunt”… There is no 7th Pein, who opened the door, it was the God Pein. Also: ” GODPein V1″ and “GOD Pein V2″ are actually God Pein and Animal Pein…
And about how Pein gets his bodies.. I’ve always wondered why all his bodies were of people Jiriya had fought before… My theory is that the bodies are of people that Jiriya fought, but never defeated. Nagato kew that Jiraiya was super strong, so perhaps he thought: “If even Jiraiya couldn’t beat (or just barely beat) these guys, then they must be really tough; therefore, they would make great bodies/weapons…”
Not to discredit Shino/Siskin or any of the other people who predicted Pein’s fighting style. I do have to say that if anyone had googled “samsara” they would have found all the information they needed to know about the 6 paths of suffering(6 realms). But Shino/Siskin put it together in a blog and brought it to all the rest of our attention before it was revealed, so awesome job!
My theory, is that they weren’t people Jiraiya couldn’t beat, but in fact people that Jiraiya did beat. The six realms of the Samsara are the cycles of reincarnation, so it would seem Pein has attained all 6 realms in these incarnations of himself, which could mean he had to die as well before creating these bodies so his soul could transfer into it’s next state. Sounds simillar to the Harry Potter plot once again and the Horcruxes.

I´m not sure if the rinnegan is realy stronger than the sharingan.
Because the rinnegan doesnt include genjutsu and I think that Sasunoo is the strongest offensive and defensive weapon at moment, if you have enough stamina or a permanent MS.
Finaly we will see the truth power of Tsunade, because I dont think that she already showed her full power against orochimaru. I hope not, because super strength and self healing would be useless against pein.
To answer my fans and critics…
1. Yeshura, glad I could help. I have heard many theories, I think that there is a seventh body (Negato’s) but that body has been crippled by the shear power coursing through his body (from the renningan) and that is why kohnan and yahiko are still loyal to him. I also think madra may be controling this body and through negato all of the others.
2. Uchiha Gaiden: He could use amatseru and tskyumi before the battle but he couldn’t surpress the black flames, not even Itachi could and what he awakened in battle was that power, in order to save Karin (His groupie) not the power to attack the 8 tails, you need to re-read the chapter. Also this chapter showed some of the pein bodies abilities that disprove your actual ability asignments but your premis on that one is dead on.
3. Timos: the yang chakra is in Naruto, he simply cannot access it.
4. Gregorie: Tsunade won’t let anyone else fight Pein because he killed Jariya and she wants her revenge
PART 1———
Kishi has finally confirmed the direction i was going in the whole time. Ever since i read Siskin and Shino’s blog, i have done extensive research on the 6 realms. I have found alot of info, and even some connecting Pein’s bodies to Pein’s plan of gathering the tailed beast. But i will give more info later.
you see, people are skipping over one major point that is Key to everything that is Pein. Pein is the only known holder of the Rin’nengan. The Rin’nengan litterally translates to Metempsychosis Eye, which means “Reincarnation”. So that means that the original holder can reincarnate him/herself. With that being said, it totally explains why there are 6 bodies. see the 6 bodies represent the 6 stages of reincarnation according to the Buddhist belief of Samsara.
The Buddhist believed that all things are reincarnated. According to how you lived your life before, you were reincarnated into one of the following (from worst to best): Hell realm, Hungry Ghost realm, Animal realm, Demon realm, Human realm, and God realm. so that explains the 6.
the whole reason you cannot defeat Pein, is cause the original holder is not amongst the 6. Therefore, even if you did succeed in killing on of the 6, the original who is not there would be able to “reincarnate” that body. So the challenge for Konaha has to realize and find out is “where is the original Pein?”
but going more into, i found out why the Original pein might be doing all of this. But first i must explain some more of what i found in my research.
PART 2————
first i have to start with a note i found from the Kekkei Genkei section on Naruto hurricane in regaurds to the Rin’nengan. it states:
” Note: ‘Rinne’ is the Japanese word for the cycle of reincarnation in the Hinduism, sometimes referred as the “endless circle of life, death and rebirthâ€. According to some sources, there are six lower paths which a human will travel if he does not learn the lesson’s of life.”
In my research i found that there are actually 4 additional ‘worlds’ with in the last realm (God realm). they are known as the “4 Noble Worlds”. They are:
1. Learning — seeks truth from teachings or experiences of others
2. Realization — seeks truth from one’s own direct perception of world
3. Bodhisattva (Bosatsu) — aspires to help all achieve salvation
4. Buddhahood- the highest of the high.
These can be combined with the six realms to form the “ten worlds”.
In Japan, those who have attained Buddhahood are called the Nyorai. Now why is this important??? This quote i found will explain why:
“Only those who attain enlightenment are free from the cycle of birth and death, the cycle of suffering, the cycle of samsara. To escape from the cycle, one must either (1) achieve Buddhahood in one’s life or (2) be reborn in Amida Nyorai’s Western Pure Land, practice there, and achive enlightenment there. Those reborn in the Pure Land are no longer trapped in the cycle of samsara, and can thus devote all their efforts to attaining enlightenment.”
with all that being said, it is just clear to me of what Pein is trying to do. Pein is trying to escape samsara. So how is this tied in with the tailed best??? moving on……………
CONCLUSION————
(everything from this point out is just my opinion)
I went back to the statue that extracts the tailed beast. I noticed that it had 9-eyes maybe to represent the 9 beast. I then Googled “9-eyed God”. To my suprize, i found something called the “Nine Eyes DZI (zee) bead”. it is described as this:
“the owner is said to collect nine types of merits, which helps to purify negative karma, dissolving all obstacles and blocks to success. This DZI will enable the owner to gain power and influence, and to enhance his/her reputation further. It also brings wealth and windfall luck to the wearer. Everyone carrying the powerful nine-eyed DZI will gain benefits.”
now i dont think that the statue will produce a bead, but i do think that Kishi will use the concept of collecting the tailed beast, feeding it to this statue, and getting all of the benifits of Dzi.
I believe that Pein has promised Akatsuki all of this. I think that it was this promise that got people like Kakuza, Kisame, Hidan and everyone else to join. but think about it, “9 beast”. According to Buddhist belief, there are nine states from Hell to Bodhisattva and then the 10th is Buddhahood. I believe that Kishi is using the analogy that each of the tailed beast represents a “stage” to Buddhahood, and by sacrificing each to the Idol, you will reach Buddhahood.
I think that Pein thinks that once all the tailed beast have been extracted to the idol, he will reach Buddhahood, and therefore be free of “Pein”.
and that, ladies and gentelmen, is my take. (HOLY CRAP I ACTUALLY FINISHED!!!!!!!!!)

this chapter provided a bit of insight into pein , konan plays a big role with the bodies, as if she is sort of a control factor , cause where ever the bodies are she is around.
i see no problem in the raikage crying, shows his love for his brother,
glad to see the killer bee fooled everyone and got away, hope he is able to help out naruto but wont hold my breath.
i also beleive and actually dont want to see no more or maybe just glimpses of narutos training, reason being , i dont want to see anything and when the real fight come, yeah seen that already..

@ i.o – Wow what a post, it gave me some hectic insight and as a lover of knowledge, I take my hat off to you in gratitude. However, from reading what you have posted, I arrive at another conclusion. Given that the 6 paths of Pein are 6 shinobi, jiraiya has battled (barring Yahiko of course) it follows that Nagato feels he has ascended over and above the cycle of samsara so much so that he is actually a God and not just in the God realm. What this means is that he judges people by their actions (namely the way they battled Jiraiya) and this determined how they would be reincarnated. I still believe that the animal realm is Konan and that she was reincarnated as the animal realm because Jiraiya basically kicked her ass. Yahiko on the other hand firstly, never fought jiraiya and he was the one who basically protected the group prior to their training and consequently Nagato has deemed him worthy (upon his death) of being reincarnated into the God Realm and allows him to basically embody who pein is on earth.
With regard to the statue that is also very interesting, but again I come to a different conclusion. Pein is psychologically messed up because he was born into violence he did not have the power to control. By gaining strength he gained control and he therefore sees the pain he went through as leading to the strength he attained to gain control and personal inner peace. In my view it appears that he has a warped sense of everything and feels that he is bringing about peace through pain, allowing those who stand up to him to show whether they are worthy of reincarnation into the God realm or reincarnation into Buddhahood. In a twisted was this means that he IS the child of prophecy, it’s just that the prophecy didn’t consider that pleasure can come from pain!
What I am curious to know is when Nagato and Madara met. I believe that there was no Pein before Madara came and that is the reason for his loyalty. I think that Pein came out of his interaction with Madara. Given that Madara is a skilled doujutsu user, it follows that while it is a different eye technique, he could have given Nagato insight on how to strengthen and unlock one’s doujutsu.
Another thing that is quite interesting is the fact that Konan is from the Kunoichi clan like Naruto’s mother… I really believe that this is no coincidence as it is very soon after we find out that she is a Kunoichi (manga 370) that we find out that Naruto’s mom is also a Kunoichi.
yeshura: madra is able to withstand attacks because he teleports whatever bodypart that gets hit to someplace else so no attacks hit him. I think that he has survived for one-hundred years by either time-traveling each time he failed or switching bodies (With obito and mabey Itachi in the future) or both. But really there is no real proof that he even is the real madra.
Last point: I think everyone should re-read chapter 373 it really gives an insight into Pein’s psyche. Especially when you put it in the context of him believing he is a God and that Yahiko died because he didn’t have the power to protect him and Yahiko in protecting both him and Konan died.
oh and sorry, but also read 374, where Pein refers to himself as a God of Peace, and that the Nine Tailed Beasts will be used to create an ultimate forbidden jutsu (like a nuke) that will serve as a deterrent to fighting after it is used and people die on a massive scale. If Kishi develops this character properly this could be the most intricate and complex character in Anime. And if you think of characters like Light from Deathnote, you know that’s a stretch!

Something I’m surprised no one has picked up on is the fact that God realm states his own name when naming the teams. Why no refer to himself as I or me as per the norm? Is it because Nagato is talking through him as the controller or ‘real Pein’? What do you think?
9tails, ppl have debated nagato’s influence but there is no real proof, either pein is all the bodies at once or he is controlling them remotely but it makes little difference
I’d say it makes a big difference, I mean, IF it is Nagato controlling them then wouldn’t you say that we haven’t seen any of Pein’s true power yet? And also, defeating the 6 realms would make no difference as Pein would still be alive.
somthing i just noticed which while i was desperately waiting for the next new blog.. i notcied that almost all leaf shinobi have that white and black wrap around their right leg , what is that ?
