Kakashi tells Naruto about the final step in his training – adding his Wind chakra into his Rasengan. It is a technique even Kakashi’s sensei, the Fourth Hokage, could not complete. Naruto immediately begins training and uses his mass clone technique, but it is far more difficult than what he has done up to now and Naruto can no longer depend on anyone for advise.
Meanwhile, Konoha teams have staked out the known meeting points for the bounty collectors and await for the signal when Akatsuki is spotted. Team Asuma arrive at one of the locations and encounter Hidan outside. Everyone is in disbelief when Hidan is still standing after they pierced his vital organs. Kakuzu also appears, but Hidan tells him to stay out of his fight. With Shikamaru as backup with his Shadow Sewing jutsu, Asuma takes on Hidan. Hidan manages to inflict a small cut to Asuma’s cheek and licks off the blood from his blade. Asuma performs a fire-ash jutsu which consumes Hidan in an inferno.
BONUS: the special scene at the end of the episode where drunk Shizune trash talks Tsunade behind her back with Kurenai is awesome. We need more drunk characters spilling the beans on what they really think.

Azuma!!! Although it’s awesome to see him and Shikamaru actually fighting, I can’t watch this anymore! Why do all the good characters have to DIE?! WHY?!?!
Wow i liked this episode because we finally see Asuma using some other techniques beside those lame blade of his. I didn’t noe he is pretty strong.

…and I think Yamato/Tenzou is a good match for Shizune, actually… they’re both on “dry land” … and they both absolutely luff to git dr…drunk…*hic* Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

Awesome fight, I´m was surprised that Asuma can did the same technique like chiriku. Why he didnt show this in the last fight or the smok jutsu.
Kakashi said to Naruto that he is the only one who can surpass the 4th. Does it mean that the 4th was the strongest Hokage of the5 or only the best shinobi in comparison to the living shinobi.
Cant wait till Kishi tell the whole story about Minato.
It was funny to see Sakura eat her own medicin.
And a other funny scene was to saw how drunk and desprate shizune was.

this 1 hour was great but thanks to that filler i might be sad to see Asuma die but anyway we shall forget about him when the anime reach part with itach ” s death, sasuke wanting to kill konah and etc

Too bad the idiots at Sutido Pierrot removed all the swearing. It would’ve been nice to hear Hidan’s colorful language.
Well, next episode is oficially the start of the “SHIKAMARU” series. Bye, bye “NARUTO”!!

Kakashi said that he isnt able to combine rasengan and nature element, but it would be interresting what happend if Kakashi could combine rasengan and electricity.
This is one of the greatest battles so far in this series. Shikamaru’s jutsu has never looked so awesome and I can’t wait for the next battle! I can’t wait to see Kakashi fight and Naruto’s rasen shuriken then we are going to see Sasuke and Orochimaru battle then he forms team hebi! I love this show!
this episode was great. I can’t wait ’til the next episode on friday. I think I’m going to cry when Asuma sensei dies but I’m also releaved that the fillers is over.

Tsunade send some weak teams to find the akatsuki, ok team Asuma is the only one who are strong enough but the rest are no match.
Why not gai, neji, lee, sakura, kiba, shino or an anbu team.
This was a good episode. Sakura’s reaction after trying her soilder pills was hilarious. Same thing goes at the end with shizume when she was talking to Kurinie when tsunade shows up. I thought shizume was going to piss herhelf.
I been lookinh forward to seeing Hidan do his ritual thing. Well I guess Asuma dies soon
Finaly Jonin, now I can arrange my own team.
I choose Lee, Naruto and Shikamaru.
This was awesome episode with numerous funny parts .
Although I already know what will happen next I’m really excited to see fight between Asuma team and the Hidan.
Btw.I think that i great that Asuma knew that super cool jutsu (I think it’s call -Amida’s 1000-arm Death Embrace)…I’m always complaining about Pierrot studio guy’s but in the last few ep they improved a lot so I want to give them credits for it.
Congats Ultimatehokage for becoming Jonin.Keep it up.
*And I want to say that I totally agree with you about Tsunade sending weak teams to find the akatsuki. Other team’s will be easily killed if they had rencounter with Hidan and Kakuzu.

This episode rocks.
Highlights:
1. Sakura’s reaction after tasting the soldier pill
2. Shizune’s face upon seeing Tsunade (fiery Kage, lol)
3. Asuma and Shikamaru’s teamwork
4. Hidan and his 3bladed scythe
5. Asuma’s different techs esp. Chiriku’s Raigou Senjusatsu
Ino looking like a scaredy cat is a disappointment. Another low point is the screen time given to the other teams when all they did was the basic transformation technique.
I can’t wait to see Hidan’s ritual. Farewell, Asuma.

this isn’t were you would ask a question like that. If you wanna do a poll on a post you have to tell bob you want one or to just suggest a poll you have to send it to Bob… or possibly Guruku.
An easy way to do a poll is to go into the forum and you can write a post in whatever category it goes in and place a poll there, but it doesn’t get as much traffic as the blog.
hmm…this episode doesn’t show anything yet wait till the next one it’ll kick-@$$. There are a lot of wasted scene here to make the episode runs longer. Like in the beginning to show where the other konoha team were and setting traps to ambush Akatsuki. No need to waste time on lil things like that cuz we all know it’s team Asuma who will encounter them first. But it was nice to see Choji and Ino. The end fight was awsome can’t compain about that and there are new stuff we haven’t seen in the manga so that’s cool also.
