Naruto Manga Chapter 417: Keeping Still, Going Blind & Stiff Shoulders

Well, I can’t say I was that impressed with this chapter. I mean it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t that great either. Sure, the plot moved along a little, but everything was pretty predictable and in the end nothing important really happened. Even the three new characters introduced didn’t really peak my interest much – they were pretty generic and obviously more of Kishi’s attempt of introducing dark skinned characters in the series… along with a token big boob character.
Despite all that power Naruto demonstrated last chapter by lifting that fricking huge rock, he seems to be back to square one again now that he can’t rely on the toad oil anymore. Fukasaku tells him clearly that the oil will evaporated outside the Mount Myouboku area, so Naruto must learn to draw in nature energy o’natural or fail this training. To make it worse, now Naruto has to practice remaining perfectly still. This is by far the most difficult task Naruto has ever faced…. we’re talking about the number one hyperactive ninja here…. staying still is not in Naruto’s vocabulary. Seriously, I used to think Naruto had attention deficit disorder, hahaha.
Next we see Team Hawk recuperating from their near fatal mission. Jugo is so short now that his feet don’t touch the ground when he sits down 
. Suigetsu is back living inside a fish tank; that’s what you get for acting out of character and trying to save your team-mates. Karin has turned into a boy – nah, I’m kidding but with her hair-like that, she’s looking more and more like a girlish Sasuke. And lastly, Sasuke has turned into an alcoholic and is drowning himself in what I can only assume to be sake. Oddly, Sasuke knocks over his glass when he reaches for it. So either Sasuke’s a lightweight who can’t even handle a little liquor or his eyes are starting to deteriorate much like Itachi’s did. Sasuke had believed the new Amaterasu powers he has gained will help him destroy Konoha, but it looks like time is not on his side. By the way, Sasuke made that comment while thinking to himself – so this is what he really believes in – that he really does want to burn Konoha into ashes and his conversation with Madara was not a lie?
Karin senses the Cloud nin who was tracking them and they intercept him before he can send off a message. Madara brings the Eight-Tails to the Bijuu extraction statue, so all they need is for Pein to return…. hopefully with Naruto, the last remaining Jinchuuriki. Meanwhile the Raikage is pretty pissed his men haven’t found where his little brother is yet. He also blames Konoha to allow one of their missing nin’s to join Akatsuki. He demands a summit to be called for all five Kages and also requests Samui’s team to be called in.
Samui is a big-breasted kunoichi who seems like the de facto leader of her three-man team. I wish I could say more about her, but at this point the only defining feature about her are her boobies and Kishi makes an effort to point them out quite clearly. I think he’s taking a lesson from Kubo Tite and using big breasted characters to attract more readers Samui’s team-mates are both dark skinned; the girl is Karui and the guy is Omoi (Samui = cold, Karui = light, Omoi = heavy). All three of them carry swords, a popular weapon choice amongst Cloud ninjas it seems. Omoi seems overly concerned about minor things and perhaps has a sweet tooth for lollipops. Karui seems more sensible than Omoi but is very sensitive about the size of her bust – probably something she developed after joining in a team with Samui. That’s all I can say about these new characters until we see more of them in the next few chapters. Like the rest of this chapter, they weren’t bad characters but weren’t exceptional either. I hope the next chapter will be more memorable… and I’m starting to wonder what Pein has been up to…

The one thing this chapter has is that there is a lot going on. More and more I think Pa toad is like Yoda. but anyway I think knowing or knucklehead ninja, Naruto he will master being still and be able to use the Sage Arts soon.
I wonder if Madara will attend this kage meeting being that he is the kage of the mist. I wouldn’t be surprised if you uses the opportunity if he attends and kills the whole lot of them at the meeting.
Sasuke sure is getting full of himself. I wish someone would bring him down to reality.I bet Sasuke will take Itachi’s eyes and insert them into his body so he won’t go blind.
When will the Raikage go after his brother. seriously I would of thought he would of been knocking at the door of the Akatsuki hideout by now.
When is Pein going to invade Konha? I have been waiting patiently for it. I want see the Tsunade vs Pein battle. Anouther matchup I think will happen is Sasuke vs kakshi. My dream matchup would have Sasuke vs Neji. Battle of the dojutsus. White eye vs the sharingan.
I think this chapter was okay and like it said in this chapter at the end on the next chapter Naruto will finish the sage training but I hope that’s not all he is taught! I mean its great and all but I’ve been looking forward to see Naruto use some jutsu like fire and wind, water, and maybe even earth, anything please!
I am beginning to think Sasuke is really turning into a pure bad guy but there is something about him like he is struggling inside about what side he wants to be on! I just hope he makes a more vivid statement on which side he is on! I think if he really is evil he will kill someone close to Naruto like Sakura or Kakashi or even Sai to make a point! This will push Naruto over the edge and the battle will be on. I really like Sasuke and how strong and arrogant he has become but I think it will be a lot better if he starts to lean towards Naruto in a good way!

Sasuke is really hell-bent on destroying Konoha. Just how far can his cockiness get him, especially now that his eyes are deteriorating? Well, Itachi’s eyes are still ready for the taking. It’s nice to see Karin with a new ‘do. She is truly proving her worth in the team. Thanks to her, they were able to intercept the communication lizard that will pinpoint their location.
The 3 senior Akatsuki members – Madara, Zetsu and Kisame – are still waiting for Pain to commence the extraction process. No Pain, No Bijuu Extraction. The question is: How long will it take Pain to return from his mission?
The previous incident concerning Neji’s father and the Cloud Village was mentioned here. The Raikage is concerned why Tsunade has let Sasuke lived this long after defecting from Konoha. And the great length that he’s willing to go just to save his brother is just… wow! I’m particulary curious on how the summit will go about. I can’t wait to see the Mizukage’s presence there.
I kinda liked the attitude of the new characters introduced especially Omoi. (FYI, I also put mayo on my fries, lol).
The Raikage is so kool to me and hope we see him fight soon! I can’t wait to see all the Kages together. I wonder if Madara will be at the meeting I think he has someone posing as the Mizukage or a double and he is just pulling the strings! Maybe we will finally see Gaara again, and Tsunade and it will be interesting to see the other Kages!
I think Pein is going to fight Tsunade for a while and when she needs help Naruto will come! Yeah I also think Sasuke will fight Kakashi but if Sasuke is truly evil he will have to kill someone close to Naruto so I hope it’s not Kakashi maybe Sai but not Kakashi! That would be a great match Sasuke v.s Neji I wonder if the Byakugan has a high level and can doujutsu’s like Amaterasu.
I really think those three ninja will finally end Team Hawk, I think they will kill Juugo who is so cool and I don’t want him to die and they will kill Karin and Suigetsu who diserve to die!
This was an ok chap. Personally I expected more from Naruto and I thought this was the raikages chap from the title but we barely see him do anything! I think that this was a giant waste of time except for the few intel parts.

I always hated the stupid arrogant guy! but now we can see that he actually does want to destroy konoha and all of u who said he was lying…HAH! I knew it all along! but really it does look like he is turning into a bad guy and i wonder what kishi really has planned for him?
Now Naruto is hitting a road block in his training. He is always so jittery and impatient I dont think he will ever be able to pass this part of the sage art training! Not only that but if he can master it then will he be able to stand up to all of sasuke’s attacks?!
I hope he can cause nothing would bring me more hapiness then to see him finally die for good!
The Raikage really going have a talk with Tsunade about letting Sasuke live this long and Sakura, Kakashi, and Naruto are going get really shocked when they find out that Sasuke and his team hawk members (Suigetsu, Karin and Jugo) are working with the akatsuki.
This chapter was amazing! It is getting very intresting. Naruto is always learning something new and he makes a better version of that jutsu, Naruto is getting stronger. I think this jutsu that naruto is learning will help him ALOT! Seeing how its the great toad whoes teaching him. Naruto is the best! Now some one needs to teach him how to use fire and a little wind jutsu.
I also agree with you Yellowflash, sasuke is very sick inside. Its something wrong with him he is fighting his self and emotions. He dont know what to do now, he is very confused. After madara took him into that cave and talked to him about his brother its been hell with sasuke. And now his feeling the side effect of the activation of the MS. His going blind. I wonder what his going to do now about the blindness, because he cant be a all powerful shinobi with no eyes!?!
Sasuke finally about to received what Itachi told him would happen if he keep using the power the mangekyou sharingan. If he keeps them up he have to take Itachi eyes. But what about Sasuke eyes that madara wanted him in the first place.
hey you guys i barely thought of something? I know that Naruto is getting all stronger now and everything but has anything happened with that Raven itachi put inside naruto? I think i remember him doing that. Wonder what it was and if it is y Sasuke isnt as great at MS yet. Awell i guess we will see soon.

.well the only few things that surprised me are.
1)is that apparently sasuke is going blind ALOT faster than i would’ve thought possible.
2) the comment that the raikage made about how konoha handle the hyuuga in a quick way? where did this come from.IS THIS POSSIBLE THE MYSTERY PERSON WHO HELPED GAVE BIRTH TO THE UCHIHA CLAN?
3)and the fact that they finally mentioned the possibility of a hokages meeting! in my opinion they should’ve been done this a long time ago.they wait until the last beast is captured to do this… what a joke.
4) it says that naruto has completed his sage training… well… that was quicker than expected.
well im wondering if sasuke will get itachis eyes now… or if thats even a viable option at this point in time.

yea i forgot to mention that.is that suigetsu is swimming in the tank with fins like a mermaid or ningyo or äººéš lol.this reminds me of that filler arc monster stuff where that girl had been experimented on my orochimaru.except it seems he still needs air.will team hack go back to get suigetsu’s sword ? i remember him being on the cover of a manga and his arm was really big as he held his brothers sword.i was expecting to see him get pumped up like that.

I think was a great chapter.
The raikage says that he want to speak with all kages, but why now and not earlier.
All the time they knew that Akatsuki is dangerous, if they conduct alltogether the kages they were able to beat them down in the past.
Now that they almost collect all the kyuubis its maybe to late to bring all the kages together.
if tsunade’s gonna be going to this summoning.i wonder if shell run into pain on her way out.who will be their to defend besides the usual.and i wnat to know more about the rinnengan from the autopsy.when pain gets there will he retrieve his body?
It seems that Sasuke is already evil, but Kishi make so much U Turns that I cant trusted this.
First he told team Hawk that he always want to kill the elders and than he told madara that he want to destroy the complete village.
But at the fight against the 8th he cares of his teammates and thougth of his old teammates.
For me its a sign that he is not complete evil.
GJ bob this chapter was not bad but not good either it looks like the cloud country is a black country.
I wonder how fast Naruto is able to master the senjutsu, because the next chapter he is able to master it complete, but I guess that is not enough to have more energy.
He have to develop new jutsu or find the secret to beat pein.
In this state he wont be able to pein either Sasuke.
But time is over, I guess in the next 2 chapters Pein will arrive the village.
Sasuke is a little bit overconfident, he almost died two times in the fihgt against the 8th and he is only alive because of his teammates. How can he says now that he is powerfull enough to beat konoha down. I think his confindence is his weakest point.
In the past he was stronger because of his willpower
to beat Itachi down, but now he think he can handle all this without sweating.
If Naruto complete the Sage training he will probably know how to form rasengan without the use of a shadow clone. Not only that but be more powerful then Neji Hyuga(the jounin), Shino Abrume(the chunin), Skikamaru Nara(the chunin protector), and Akatsuki deceased members(Sasori, Diedara, Hidan, Kakuzu, Orochimaru and Itachi Uchiha).

I agree with you that Tsunade will fight against pein.
I think Tsunade will kill 1 or 2 of Peins bodys before Naruto will come to help out Tsunade.
My question is, will Naruto arrive konoha before or after Tsunade die.
When Naruto finish training, I hope fusuka give him a weapon for his wind charka like a sword or charka blades. Also when he get back to the Leaf, I wonder if Pein is there or Kakashi will see if he’s ready for his second elemental charka.

I agree with you that Sasuke will take the eyes before he get blind, but my question is why would Madara give him this huge power. He know that sasuke could betray him, maybe kill him.
He betrayed Konoha, kill Oro, why he should trust him. Sasuke betrayed or killed all his friends and teachers.
This is really is it! Awesome! something the same on my predictions it seems that everything i predicted comes in a real story, i just guess that it might be 50% of my predictions are on the cast, I can’t believe now it seems it is almost 60 – 70% predictions, anyway as i predicted last 5 months ago there were about new shinobis to come in the story and it ties up for the long run of Naruto, kishi might listen me i guess he did, lol.
Raikage shows character as hot headed leader the same as Godaime Hokage. i think the best asset he have is muscles in his arms he might can weigh-in 1000 kilos and above, it looks like chouji’s jutsu, other than that the one also makes me intrigue is the Team Samui, they were look like cool shinobi they might be classified as top rank ninja of Kumogakure, i’m pretty sure that the outcome of this 3 shinobis are on such a big bang in this story.
A summit for 5 Kage’s are also interesting, it looks like UN Summit in our real world. A UN Summit for Terrorist that is the exact form of summit they want to arrange. The Organization “AKATSUKI” are the TERRORIST of our real world, since their Agenda are for Peace Process they might;
1st, to tackle the Security of Hidden Villages of each 5 shinobi countries
2nd, they might also ask other non-shinobi countries to participate in their summit.
3rd, it might also include Emergency Operations for non-shinobi countries.
4th, the summit also focus on Jinchurikki hunting by the Akatsuki
5th, it also includes the Basic Operations for hunting Akatsuki
6th, the territories of each 5 shinobi countries might ask to Upgrade Communications.
7th, they might set new Organizations or a Group to pursuit Akatsuki Organization.
8th, Non-shinobi countries might also under surveillance of different shinobi countries
9th, this might be also the start of Organizing Non-Shinobi countries, Shinobi countries might ask them to at least 1 participant as a leader of Non-Shinobi countries.
10th, Non-Shinobi countries might turned new name NSU or Non-Shinobi Union.
I hope this ideas might come true hope you read this kishi, lol.

Sorry but I cant agree with your first comment, Sasuke will not kill Sakura or Kakashi because Kishi told that he will write more about Kakashi and Sakura in the future.
and I think Naruto have enough emotional trigger, he want to bring sasuke back and revanche the death of Jiraya, that brings him to where he is and where he will be.

This is a alright chapter but i do like the point that Naruto is learning how to be less hyper and more calmer than what he show so far in the series. This will help him be a smarter fighter so he can use special jutsu’s that require consintration . And my boy Sasuke is going to get Itachi’s eye soon hopefully before Madara train him how to really use the MS as he need to be to be able to destroy the Leaf Village, because i think that his major thing he needs to learn is the teleportation move that Madara uses so he will never take a punch or a blow from his opposition in a battle so he won’t have to use Karin or Juugo like he did a couple chapters ago.
And what’s the deal with the Hyuga’s being dealt with swiftly sound like more Konoha’s dirty business once again huh?

Hmmm… This chapter had its high points and low points. I like the fact that Sasuke is going blind. He had to find how much of a bitch karma is eventually.
Kinda’ unoriginal on Kishi’s part.
The new team seems… questionable. It’s the same dynamics as every other team: Stoic, loud mouth and the one in-between. Also, if the one with the giant rack would quit using crappy push-up bras, she wouldn’t have anything to complain about.
Lastly, the “Kage meeting”. Behold the melting pot. Not only will Gaara be there, but Tsunade’s going to be there, too. To top it off, Pain is actually the one that claims to have control over the land of rain. That’s going to be a big plot transition, hopefully.

Hrm it would be arite to see Sasuke vs Niji. Kishi is kinda selfish here, he keep giving more new powerful techniques to Sharingan but we hvnt seen much of Byakan improving. Hopefully, kishi creates some awesome for niji.

this chapter is not quite impressive as i expect…yeah, it’s good to see naruto gets improving but the line of the story here is more on dragging…
LOL of new characters, and besides jiraiya will resurrect bcoz of samui’s figure, asides competition w/ tsunade…nyay…
btw, maybe fukakusama will give weapon to naruto after his sage training so he can use his new abilities combine w/ nature’s power…actually u hav good point prinston m, we have the same idea…aside that in the series outro when i saw naruto bringing his sword the same as sasuke…
well, hope so there will be more alot of improvement of next few chapters…and there will be a great battle between tsunade vs. paine, neji vs. sasuke, etc…and naruto will come to rescue and show his new guts of what he learned from his training…and hope naruto will not be act dumbass anymore…
and we’ll see again gaara…i miss you so much…i wonder if gaara will have new some improvements together with his team temari and kankuro…

Like most people, this chapter was just okay for me. There were some good parts and parts that I could care less for. First off, everyone’s favorite topic, BOOBIES! You know you love em! What’s funny is she gets teased about it, but just doesn’t care. She knows she’s “blessed”, and she accepts it. Still, if she’s anything like Tsunade, she must be strong and powerful.
Second, Sasuke … I think his going blind may be a side effect of obtaining “used” jutsu. Ameratsu wasn’t his to begin with, and it’s also attributed to Itachi going blind. So maybe what it did to one brother, it’s doing to another. Let this be a lesson to all, just say no to USED jutsus.
Third … Naruto’s doing good so far. Just please hurry.
Lastly, the Kage Summit. Dude! I so called it! A meeting of all 5 Kages. But then again, it was simply inevitable. I mean think about it. With all the power that Akatsuki is getting from extracting all the bijuu from their hosts, something like a kage summit has to take place. My only question is, why wait till there’s only one jinchuriki left?
Anyway, that’s it for now. This is Firelord Sokka, Channel 10 Fox News. lol. Yeah right.

Zetsu is a good possibility, but I want to know how powerfull Madara realy is. I think that Madara is actually the most powerfull person in the naruverse.

Kakashi’s eyes must have started to deteriorate, at least a little bit. Remember that he knew Itachi’s eyes were deteriorating, and by Itachi’s response it seems that the only way he could have known was to have experienced it himself.
On another note, I don’t think Naruto will be back in time to save Tsunade. More importantly, I don’t think he will be able to beat Pein.
While Naruto beating Pein seems like the natural course of the story, I think that Naruto will show up and after Tsunade has died and weakened Pein he will be just enough to force Pein to retreat. Remember, if Pein dies the Biju eater is useless (so it would seam) and I don’t think that 7 of the 9 biju would have been extracted just to become useless and sealed inside of some huge statue. Pein will probably be the last to die before Madara, not the next.

I been wondering what Pein has been and if Konoha has fully figured out the full secret Jariya left behind.
Man this break in action is feeling like a time skip…it’s nerve racking. Hey I can’t really recall has any else a 3 man team with 2 women before…i dont even recall an ANBU squad having that…..am I worng I just one recall. If I am write that probably another intresting thing about this chapter.
im looking forward on the summit of the five kages i want to see gaara and the real mizukage, im w8ng for pein in his konoha invasion will he succed? i hope pein will shoe bter jutsus this time! still few question, who is the real madara? i yhink tobi is just a puppet created by uchiha madara, and madara is just hiding somewhere seeking new power, btw what happend to oroshimaru?
It’s been a long time since I commented on anything.
I had thought, like Bob, that Sasuke was up to something, maybe not entirely bad. But now he’s confusing me more than ever. I guess mystery is good to some extent.
I’d like to add that I like the Raikage as a character. He’s not more brawns than brains (at least that’s what I think) and he’s finally acting where other Kages should have acted a long time ago. A man of action rather than thoughts is exactly what the story needs to move forward. Too bad it took his little bro being kidnapped to spur him into action.
Also another pair of older-younger brothers (after Itachi and Sasuke) which can’t be there by accident.
The Raikage will be very important to how the story progresses. I hope he kicks some ass, maybe some Sasuke ass before it’s too late. I don’t mean kill Sasuke. But maybe it is too late and Sasuke has become like Orochimaru. But hope dies last, as they say.
Ok, now listen this is my first comment so ill do my best to make it good. First of all, sasuke is not killing naruto, sakura or kakashi because on chapter 414 he remembered them before using the amateratzu and it felt like they encouraged him to save team hawk, now really, IM FUCKING SICK OF SASUKE’S DRAMA, REALLY SICK AND TIRED, I DONT KNOW BUT KISHI IT MAKING ME HATE THIS ANIME WHEN I USED TO THINK THIS WAS THE BEST ANIME EVER, I MEAN WTF, EVERYONE SINCE THE BEGINNING OF N. So about the situation right now, Boring, really sasuke is sicking me, so ill say it again, kishi The naruto fans wants to see naruto as hokage, and sakura and sasuke in his side, we do not want to see with them what happened between jiraya, tsunade, and orochimaru. Also this its turning like a telemundo novel or soup opera, i hope you know what you;re doing Kishi, you better make me proud because i think naruto its the only Anime now, that can surpass Dragon ball.
If it comes to a meeting beetween the five kages we also see Gaara again and it would be interresting if Gaara have his old strength back after the extraction of his bijuu. Maybe he is stronger than before, because its a long time since we saw Gaara
Woh there Gutsy Guy take a breather! I must admit though I agree with you Kishi needs to focus himself again. Anyway, this is my first post and I will elaborate and comment once I’ve read other people’s posts.
My problems with this chapter:
1. The ending says that Naruto’s sage training is complete (how? When? He couldn’t even let the chakra flow in… Kishi really should have just skipped those first few pages and shown him mastering it instead)
2. Raikage’s plans have been put into place (what plans? To hold a United Naruverse conference… is that what we waiteda week for?)
3. So Sage Arts are actually like Tsunade’s powers because (a) they give you super strength (b) they allow you to heal [hence allowing him to possibly do rasenshuriken]…. vey lame, he could have just trained with Tsunade as he hasn’t acquired any new jutsu!
4. Sasuke is still messed up (physically – shows that itachi really did own his lil’ bro)
5. Hope Ameratasu is not his secret power to destroy konoha (that’s very lame and would mean naruto’s power from itachi is to put out ameratasu)
6. The meeting of the 5 kages will mean that maybe tsunade won’t die as she will not be in Konoha when Pein attacks!

I think the naruto series already surpass Dragon ball z. Naruto have more movies in the cinema and I think more chapters, too.
I also agree with people who have commented on Madara as Mizukage. I mean ata summit of the top Kage’s he will have to be there. I wonder what name he goes by because evidently other Kages know the names of the others (Raikage referred to Hokage as Tsunade) so it would be interesting to know who they think he is. I mean given his EMS, they would instantly know he was an Uchiha and link him to Konoha.

I can agree with most of your points, but about the sage arts I have a other opinion.
Tsunade have super strength because she have a good chakra control and a lot of spiritual and physical energy. By Senjutsu you have a additional energy source. But I agree with you, that only more energy its not enough to beat pein. Naruto have to learn some new jutsus.
Ultimatehokage- i totally agree with you about DBZ. besides naruto has a alot more interesting polt line than DBZ.
so, naruto is back square one then. i knew this was going to happen. i just hope he comes out better off than just super strength cause that’s not that special, since saruka and tsunade’s got it as well.
speaking of that- i think naruto will will not be training to learn new techniques but more of tactical fighting. cuase i doubt wind rasengan will be overcome in the list of naruto’s most powerfull tecgniques for a long time. but i have no idea about what type of tactics he is going to learn.
for some reason i feel sorry for sakuke. i know that there is alot of drama going on with him but i feel sorry for him but i don’t quiet know why….

by the way. just wondering- will pein be able to find naruto. since he is out to kill him. will he find him in the mountains( which i don’t know the name of)?
@ X-jounin: I think your proposition that Naruto will learn tactical training is rather interesting because the way things are looking time really is running out. But then again naruto did master Kage Bushin overnight, so I guess in all honesty, its not too late to for him to leanr new jutsu. As for Pein finding him, he won’t be able to get to the mountain himself, as the way is too difficult, so he’ll have to wait for aruto to get back. As far as Sasuke and destroying Konoha… its starting to look more and more likely that the power itachi left Naruto was the power to extinguish Ameratasu (which is just another lame moment a la Kishi)
What will be interesting about the Kage Summit is that:
1. Not all villages are on friendly terms with one another.
2. Mizukage is Madara and therefore whatever resolution gets reached, his village and Pein’s will still battle on the side of Akatsuki. This means that there is going to have to be a hectic fallout as aresult of all this that may just lead to war. I mean, we can agree that the Hokage, Raikage and Kazekage all have the same agenda to take out Akatsuki but its going to be interesting to see if this is the only split that will occur.
Okay so lets get a few things straight, considering Kishi’s messed up sense of time.
1. In a week the results of the autopsy were to e revealled and Naruto and Fukasaku would be the first to be informed about it.
2. Fukasaku has been complaining about naruto not getting a handle on things (but surely this can only be after a few hours of training)
3. Sasuke must have defeated 8tj in a few hours to make this time line make sense and he is also less than a day away from that village.
4. It took his guys a few hours to heal (well sufficently enough for them to be able to talk and stuff)
5. How many days have actually passed since naruto went for his training? The way I see it it must be about 3 or 4.

But I also wonder if his reals intentions are to be killed by Naruto, to made a self sacrifice to return to life his clan, by some kind of super powerful forbidden jutsu. two things i feel that have been left out were things that the new character Omoi happened to mention in his dialogue that might give clues to their abilities and/or weaknesses(and i’m going by the onemanga translation, so if they’re wrong i’m probably wrong in these observations as well)
1st- “What seems like ordinary stiff shoulders might really be…”
Could be just a comment to present his overly pensive personality, or more, idk.
2nd-”…if that kick…”(referring to the kick Karui delivered to him after an insensitive comment on her minimal bust)
Sounds kinda like he either has a weak spot(although i guess every guy has a weak spot and I don’t know why that possibility alluded me till this very second) or Karui has super strength like Sak/Tsu. Either way, Kishi wouldn’t have thrown that in there just for fun, or now on reflection maybe he did.
Even though I believe these characters will just be fodder for Team Hawk, I still like the way they seem to be set up.
Ofcourse Sasuke meant it when he told Madara that he wanted to destroy Konoha. Sasuke is dead serious; he is angry. Otherwise he wouldn’t had activated the Mangekyou Sharingan. Also It’s gonna be interesting to see how Naruto can master being still because I can’t see him being the calm type during a battle. We now know that the other Akatsuki can’t start the ritual without Pain so maybe the Raikage can still help his bro before they pull the bijuu out of him. I can’t say the same for Nii yugito she seem like a tragedy and the others it look like it’s too late for them. Can pain really capture Naruto? or is Naruto gonna put up a tough fight against pain. Is the five shinobi villages gonna help eachother and put a stop to Akatsuki? I can’t wait to see what happen.
Hello! Here I come with my spectacular theories from the Quintessential Biochemist of California.
What a booby chapter! That girl Samui is hot! Wow! Kishi has gotten tired of drawing too much flatness in the last chapters! What I think about this team that Raikage summoned is that must be highly skillful shinobi. Kishi would not dedicate such an introduction to non-influential characters. Therefore, Team Boob (That is what we should call it from now on until their demise in the series.) must bring a lot of important to the plot and a hell of battle to Team Hawk. I wonder what do they have to counter the MS. Raikage knows what they will have to face. He would not send weaklings but the top-notch. Now that Raikage mentioned something about the Hyugas, if you all recall Konoha’s sending a Hyuga corpse to Kumogakure, I believe the Raikage and his village perhaps have unraveled the secrets behind the Byakugan, which may help them fight the Sharingan. Why? If you remember what Kakashi said during the Chunin Exams, the Sharingan derived from the Byakugan, so it is feasible to say that Kumogakure probably has gained a better understanding of these doujutsus by examining the Byakugan. The Kumo Troops may have been trained to withstand and counter these eye techniques. I can’t wait to see Team Boob and Team Hawk fight.
Speaking of Hawk, it is freaking disappointing to see Sasuke’s light fading. For some time, we held the theory that Sasuke had the EMS, but that is not the case. Still, even if you kill your own brother, you will get the MS at the expense of blindness (what the hell!). I wonder if he will transplant Itachi’s eyes (if that is possible, if they are not rotten). From this new observation, we may assume that Kakashi could go partially blind (only one of his eyes, of course, has the Sharingan), unless the way he acquired it makes his Eternal, but how he got it remains unknown.
I don’t believe Kakashi and Sasuke will face each other in a battle, and if they do, I don’t think Kakashi will die. Anyway, he is the only one who can face him. Nobody else in the village is apt to be the Hokage. The strongest is definitely Kakashi, end of discussion. I can’t imagine him dying. All the Naruverse will crumble into tears and blood. If Sasuke were to cast Amaterasu on the village, only Kakashi will be able to put it out with his space/time doujutsu, unless he has more MS techniques, which I highly doubt. After all, I think Kakashi is better and will know how to handle Sasuke. Plus, he is not alone. I think we make Sasuke to big when he is just a small pile of sh*t.
The Raikage has made arrangements for a Kage Summit. It will be cool to see Gaara again, and it will be interesting to see Mizukage Madara in there. I wonder how he will be there while he is performing the sealing of 8tails. Anyway, he can’t without Pein and probably this summit is scheduled a week or so from the time Raikage commanded because of the travel time for the other Kages. Madara can probably use Pein’s body imitation jutsu he used against Team Gai to get there. Anyway, he may very well use a shadow clone and teleport to Kumogakure. I think he planned everything that has happened so far to have all the Kages together and propose the unification of the Shinobi World, with him being the head of it (this is kind of like Chancellor Palpatine in Star Wars, anyway much in Naruto so far looks like Star Wars.). Also, he could kill them all there in a place where there is no security to go through or he could control them with the Sharingan and make say they have agreed on the Universal Shinobi Empire. These, of course, are just hypotheses.
Lastly, we all want to see Pein in Konoha. It’s been long since we had last seen him. Many have thought that he will not be present in the sealing of the 8tails because he is going to Konoha. But I think he will show up to rendezvous place for the sealing in his real form, since his bodies will be occupied with Tsunade’s boobs. Thinking of this makes me feel more interested in what may happen in the following chapters. We may get to see his true form or at least a short glimpse or silloutte of it.

About the part where Sasuke thinks to himself:
You are right, that most likely means he truly means to destroy Konoha, but as a believer in the Sasuke-is-good theory, I must play devils advocate.
All he says in his head is that he has a power strong enough to destroy Konoha, not that he will do it. Maybe he is just remarking to himself that if he were to do it, he would only need his MS, not necessarily that he will.

I don’t think kishi uses too much sex appeal with his characters. *cough* bleach!* cough* But seriously though, why introduce new characters now kishi when already your current supporting cast is so underdeveloped. I mean i know this happened a while back but when was the last time one of the supporting characters had a battle, it was alllllll the way before the sasuke/itachi fight and shino only fought for like 5 seconds! My advice for Kishi still is, give your supporting characters some freakin’ support!!!

this chapter was so-so atleast we got some new characters out of it and now we know that the naruto world has a U.N. as well hopefully they handle their situation better then ours and what does the Raikage mean when he said that konoha quickly got rid of the hyyuga my guess this has happened before I’m surprised bob didn’t say something about it, unless everybody on shannaro knew this already poor ol’ me always figure things out late pity oh well I’ll get over it I’m a very shallow person

A possible reason that Tsunade as Hokage hasn’t established a summit earlier might be the fact, that Konoha witnessed the assassination of the Third through Orochimaru – disguised as a Kage.
I like the fact that Naruto has to overcome his typical weakness in order to succeed in training this new jutsu. This will make him so much calmer and calculated during fights, even in training situations. But still… The sage technique will pretty much be a useless jutsu. He will have to be able to be completely motionless
during a fight?!

I really hope that is just a training method and not the real thing.
I get the feeling its not over with Killerbee yet. After all he’s the second last Jinchuuriki. And Kichi didnt make such a big deal out of the other Jinchuuriki

Killerbee seemed to know a few tricks Naruto could use, like using the Bijuu to snap out of genjutsu. Guess they might save him and to train Naruto in what being a real Jinchuuriki is. And during that Naruto might use the sage technique to enhance the Rasenshuriken, perhaps even a Oodama Rasenshuriken.
Aaaaaaand maybe Naruto – with his new calmness – will see the obvious and start to train his brains in reading books about techniques, chakra management, nature manipulation
and especially dark and light manipulation. In using the side effects of his Kage Bunshin he could be a genious in a few days. o_O
There’s one technique I always imagined Naruto using. I imagined it like a teleportation of his real self between his Kage Bunshins. It still has his personal note to it, is very effective for not getting hit, it compliments his close range combat style. and most of all: A jutsu like this would be like the exact mixture of the favorite abilities of both his father Minato and mother Kushina. And funnily enough: I think it would fit quite well into light and dark manipulation.
But this is just me spinning around
@Mister_Sensei: It’s true that Konoha sent a corpse to Kumogakure, but the corpse Hyuuga sent them was Neji’s father – a branch family member. He had that caged bird seal on his forehead, which seals the Byakugan ability after death. The corpse was pretty much useless for the cloud. :/

We all know Madara is the kazakage, pein is gonna be coming back empty handed cuz naruto is no where near konoha, so the question is when are they gonna extract the 8 tail? Also its only a matter of time before Sasuke ask for his brothers eyes, and Im firmly standing behind this, at what price. I dont think Madara is just gonna hand them over. That would be to easy

This will be his last resort (when he have no other choice). Like Goku in DBZ . He turn into SSJ only when he is all beat up…and we all see how much influence have Dbz on Kishi.
Question: I thought that the last Kage is actually Pein? He is Kage from the Hidden Village in the Rain. Am I wrong?
@ eighthHokage…Pein is a kage but I dont think he is is 1 of the 5 main kages, and Ill have to disagree about him being motionless to use Sage techniques. Look at what Jiraya accomplished with pein. Ill agree he might use it as a last resort, but hes not gonna be still. Only to initially gather the nartural chakra might he be still but once he senses it, it on like donkey kong
