Naruto Manga chapter 415: Sasuke’s Weak Victory

I got to say this before I start talking about this chapter: WEAK! Yes, Weak – As in the way the 8-tails got defeated by Sasuke was totally WEAK! What the hell, Team Hawk goes from being on the verge of turned into blood smears on the wall, to the Eight Tails getting utterly beaten in the span of about 10 pages. I know the Amaterasu is powerful and all, but isn’t this just too easy?

I knew I was right when I said last chapter that turning into his beast form is a big mistake for the 8-tails to make. Now he’s way slower and a huge target for Sasuke to aim his Amatserasu at. But I didn’t think he would go down this easy. What were the last five or so chapters for if all Sasuke had to do was turn on the Amaterasu switch and win the battle? His entire team is either severely injured or on the brink of death, and Sasuke himself has almost died twice during the fight with the Eight Tails. I guess after dying the first time, he still didn’t think it might be a good time to pull out the good ol’ Mangekyou Sharingan.
I guess two things did come out of Sasuke’s lame victory over the Eight Tails. One is that he has learned that to, with his right eye, put out the Amatserasu flames set with his left eye. And Two, Karin gets whacked by a big tentacle and is partially roasted by Sasuke’s black flames. I know at least one person who must have been celebrating wildly when she saw Karin’s fate 
But from’s Jugo’s response when he first sees the Amaterasu, it was the first time he has seen the technique. Talk about bad leadership, how could Sasuke not even bother to demonstrate beforehand to his teammates what his most dangerous jutsu can do? No wonder they got their ass kicked so easily, Team Hawk’s members have no idea just what each other is capable of. And at the end of the battle, Sasuke has the nerve to say “I never thought we’d have this hard a time, though.†Yeah, no kidding Sasuke! Thanks to your selfishness and total disregard for the safety of your team, you almost killed everybody! If Jugo wasn’t such a nice guy, he would probably have kicked Sasuke in the nuts right there and then.
As Sasuke and Jugo carry off the Eight-Tails Jinchuuriki and their wounded teammates, the two Cloud ninja are watching carefully from far away. They mention that the Jinchuuriki’s brother is actually the Raikage an that there’s no way he’s going to let Akatsuki take his lil’ bro away. The Cloud ninja also notice the Uchiha crest on Sasuke’s uniform under his Akatsuki cloak. I’m guessing when word of this gets to the Raikage, he’s going to suspect that Konoha is secretly involved with Akatsuki somehow. The worst that could happen is that another Great Ninja War breaks out.
Meanwhile, Naruto has completely mastered using the special toad mountain oil to gather nature’s chakra. The only parts of his body which transform are his eyes. Naruto discovers that he can rely less on the Kyuubi’s chakra now because he has the ability to draw in nature’s energy to power his jutsus instead of relying on internal chakra. When Naruto says “maybe now I can do itâ€, I believe he is referring to being able to save Sasuke and protect those around him without relying on the Kyuubi’s chakra – a promise he made after Yamato told Naruto it was him who injured Sakura during his battle with Orochimaru.
As a reward for a job well done, Fukasaku gives Naruto a special book. It is the first story Jiraiya ever wrote and it’s entitled the Legend of the Gutsy Ninja. I think this is the last clue which Jiraiya has left behind about the identity of Pein. Jiraiya had mentioned before that recognized the body of he defeated as someone he met during the early days of his journey. That incident as well as meetings with other people who have since become Pein’s bodies may be recorded inside that book. Maybe by applying Jiraiya’s code to this book, a more meaningful message will be revealed. On the other hand, the book could be just an early prototype for Jiraiya’s Icha Icha series….. I guess Naruto could sell it as a collector’s item to Kakashi in exchange for a lifetime supply of ramen

I cant believe that he died that easy. Its impossible. The Eight-Talied is apose to be very strong since he was talkin down to the whole team. He was cracken jokes and he just die, like that. How could he die from the amatserasu if madara did not even have a burn mark on him.>__< That was the second time he ALMOST died (1st: Sasuke vs. haku).

I think that was all to easy. sasuke shouldn’t have the power to make the Oxyupus “uncountioness” just by that. It was one of Itachis 3 best attacks… But did Karin survive that or what???
Hey, guys! It’s been awhile since I last commented. I have been working on my Ph.D., thus studying a buttload of high level scientific technical terminology.
Of course, Killer Bee did not die. Everybody saw that he was alive just after Sasuke had put out the Amaterasu!
What I wonder is if the Raikage is gonna send troops after Sasuke and his underlings right away upon the informing of the two Kumogakure ninjas who observed the kidnapping. There is much likelihood that Kumogakure will think that Konoha is involved in Akatsuki. But I have this inquiry, didn’t almost all villages know that the Uchiha were massacred? Then, if so, how could they believe it was Konoha pursuing their Bijuus? Anyway, these assumptions are simply hypothetical (heck, implicitly all assumptions are hypothetical, duh!). We’ll just have to wait.
Judging from how Sasuke put out the Black Flames with his two eyes, I wonder how Madara was able to put out the Black Flames Sasuke cast on him when he was captured. Seemingly, Madara has only one eye. Therefore, that means either the two eyes don’t really put out the Amaterasu, Eternal MS (if Sasuke possesses it) can put out any Amaterasu, Madara has some other trick to do so, or Madara does have his left eye. But why would he hide it?
Now are about to encounter a new interesting part in the story of Naruto. This is probably the time when Naruto learns about his parents, and hopefully, Pein’s identity and the scroll’s secret.
Also, something that I find intriguing is Naruto’s exclamation “I can’t do it now”. Apparently, it can be inferred that he now might be capable of performing the RasenShuriken without hurting himself, or do that jutsu Jiraiya warned him not to use when departing to save Gaara. We never got to see what the heck it was. Kakashi probably knows about it. I wonder if it is Daddy’s space/time jutsu or some great buttkicking technique.
haha nice one Bob. I didnt think about the cloud blaming konoha actually…I mean, hmm. I guess Konoha are going to have to prove sasuke left to stop world war 3….

“Wow! When Madara got out of Amaterasu he said to himself “good thing I didn’t tell Itachi everything or else I would probably be dead†or something like that. I think that Sasuke figured it out on his own. We are just barely beginning to see the powers of Sasuke’s MS.
With Naruto, Jiraiya told him right before his first mission after he came back to Konoha to not use “that†Justsu. He never really went all out and did. We only saw the oolong rasengan which is cool, but not amazing. When Naruto says “maybe now I can do it†he could mean the new shuriken rasengan, because he never reached its full potential, according to Kakashi, or he could be talking about “that†jutsu that Jiraiya warned him about. Hmmm….”
I think the fight was right on… I had predicted that Amaterasu would defeat the eight tails.
Amaterasu is a real risky eye technique to use. Sasuke had never done it before so I don’t know if he thought he could it himself. So that might be why none of his teammates expected it, because Sasuke himself didn’t expect it. I think that Mister_Sensei is right on with his comment.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Falcon is confronted be Raikage on their way back.
This chapter was good for the fact that it will lead to many different things. I also though that the Raikage would suspect Konoha of being attached to Akatsuki, but at the same time, shouldn’t Sasuke’s name already be in the “bingo book” as an S-Class criminal?
I did think that Team All-Star Healers might not take the KilledBee back to Akatsuki though. The 8-tails isn’t dead, because if he dies, so does the jinchuriki within him. It would be great if Sasuke could sort things out within himself so that he could see the result of his dumbass actions. Their team name should be Team “We all get manipulated”.
I’m guessing that if Sasuke could defeat a jinchuriki… he shouldn’t have much problem with someone thats Kage level.
I wanna see what Sasuke does against a skilled Byakugan user….
some really good comments.im glad that naruto is mastering the toad oil really quickly.i also thought that the cloud village might suspect konoha,but then again.i remember jiraiya telling the sand village about akatsuki.however,the sand and leaf are allies,so maybe he didnt tell the cloud village.if he did then they could mistake sasuke for itachi,if they dont know hes dead.
mister_sensei i also agree that i think that when naruto says that he thinks he can do it now.i think hes talking about the rasengan or fuuton rasengan or at the least a wing jutsu.
also if a 3rd ninja war starts it could lead up the events of the desting child(naruto) using his ability to bring peace to the ninja world by putting an end to the war,defeating pein and avenging jiriaya and saving sasuke.
“That jutsu…” that jiraiya was talking about, I always assumed it meant the demon fox’s cloak because of it’s affect on the seal. More of a warning than really a prohibition.
Now I’m starting to think it might be a reverse sealing jutsu. Notice how every Jinchuuriki so far has been able to completely release their Bijuu? It seems to be a last resort technique that is unique to each one of the vessels, and as a Jinchuurikki it seems to be a crucial to survival.
But this also goes to say that the user needs to be able to control the bijuu without getting destroyed themselves. I don’t know how but maybe Naruto will be able to do a full release of the nine-tails now without destroying himself due to adding natural chakra.
My other theory is the space time ninjutusu. Suck enough energy from around you and you might tear a hole in the space/time continuum.
…though i still think that theory of reverse summoning someone came up with is a lot better
Great ananlysis as always bob.but everyone,i feel like one thing was left out that im sure has been bothering us.why was sasuke so weak in the fight.Well juugo said that sasuke was still injured from his fight with itachi and that his wounds havent healed yet.
also,besides me does anyone think that it was a mistake for sasuke to announce outloud that it was team hawk who is using akatsuki? i mean what if madara or zetsu was spying on them? but then again when i think about it,and i hate it when i answer my own questions.if thats the case im sure sasuke had karin,who is a sexy ninja detector on the look out.
also i was surprised when sasuke was surprised that his MS could put out amaterasu.saying so thats the mangekyou’s power.but then again he hant had much practice.and i was sure he knew a little about his eyes power because he put that cloud ninja under a genjutsu when they first arrived.WHICH IS BOGUS! if you know ur going to go blind,why use MS for a genjutsu.
i think that sasukes MS POWER is similar to kakashi and madara.and thats what sasuke was thing like “it thats the case”.it would explain how madara escaped.but madara also backed into the darkness before using his jutsu,im assuming so that sasuke wouldnt know.and where the heck is PEIN?
I siad the same thing that you said Bob about the Raikage linking Konoha to the Akatsuki. I think he will blame Konoha for his brother’s defeat due to the Uchiha crest.
That fight was weak. There is know way in hell that the Hachibi is beaten so easily. He is the 8 tailed beast and I thought that he would be way more powerful. If the tailed beasts are so powerful and much stronger then mere mortals like a sannin named Jiraiya, they should be able to withstand the heat or have a jutsu to combat it. So why couldn’t the amatseru be sealed like Jiraiya did? Man why is Kishi making these tailed beasts so weak.
I think in the book, Naruto will learn some great new jutsus. It might also reveil who Naruto’s parents are when he reads it. I doubt that book was a prototype Icha Icha book. It prob does reveil Pein info. One more thing will Naruto become known as the New Toad Sage and be given a helmat like J did or will he get something different like a chest protector with the oil symbol on it.

yea arex,that was the initial thought by most people about that jutsu jiraiya forbid naruto from using was the demon fox cloak.but i pray its something better.
Um, yeah, though the only references to the Village Hidden in the Clouds in the past have been the abduction of Hinata and Yugito Nii, I think they may have a debt to Konoha…two bijuus given to their country, if they know about Akatsuki, they might see it as a signal that they need to head to Konoha to assist in defending the village considering that the last Bijuu resides there. Though I doubt it, I’m bored and theorizing is all I have left.
i think naruto needs a makeover besides the orange and black jump suit.i would like to see him with longer hair and a better clothes.
i was thinking since the ninetails is associated with fire,i wonder if he can be hurt by fire or amaterasu?
also iruka thats a really good question about the bijuu being able to transform into a beast state.even gaara did it during the chuunin exams and with his fight against deidara he had the sand arm in the air.also the two tails completely transformed.now the eight tails.i began to think that naruto can only draw out chakra.but it doesnt make since for him to not be able to.
im also surprised that the scroll frog hasnt gotten back inside of naruto.and ive been so busy with this sasuke fight.i forgot all about the pein body analysis and ibiki’s interrogation.
Thats another thing… How is it that these members of Akatsuki are the all powerful tailed beast destroyers. All the tailed beasts have looked like weaklings against them. Gaara… who is Kage level and a tailed beast got beat by 1 dude. 2 Tails got beat by the 2 death brothers. Why didn’t the 8 tails just lure Sasuke into the village, so that it would be team Hebi against the entire barrage of cloud ninja?
Just because they are Jinchuuriki, doesn’t mean that they are good, or smart for that matter. They just have high amounts of chakra. The eight tails got too confident and that was his downfall.
@20 Every Jichuurikki so far seems to be recluse, a lone wolf…even those with people who care for them. I could even see Naruto trying to do stuff by himself out of pure pig-headedness. Maybe they distance themselves from those so as not to hurt them even, as opposed to the thought that they are pushed out. But it’s just the way a Jinchuurikki grows up. It’s a sad psychological circle.
man dude this chapter was so weak that I actually considered getting off the naruto band wagon. But I did like that naruto is improving his training!
I dont know how much longer but if naruto keeps excelling at this rate we just might see some awesome fight’s soon!

The part about Naruto referring to “that jutsu”, I think he was meaning his new technique, the Rasen Shuriken. It’s only 80% complete. Maybe now, he can do a “SUPER-DUPER-MEGA-ULTRA-QUASI-GIGA-RASEN-SHURIKEN!!!”
or maybe just a tajuu kage buunshin and fart. There’s some natural wind jutsu for ya. lol.
I thought this chapter was pretty cool maybe the Jinchuurikki went down easy so he could infiltrate akastuki but then again if it was planned I’m sure the raikage would’ve known but now akatsuki is gonna have to deal with cloud village and leaf village after cloud attacks leaf of course and sdasfduke sucks
Again I am goin to make a call on the Jiraiya Arc.
We’re goin to go back into time and see Jiraiya’s side of the story for the book “The Gutsy Ninja” and then, we will know first hand, what we are dealing with regarding the bodies of pein.
However, PEIN himself will still be a mystery… and that is when Pein will be found in and around Konoha and the fight will begin! The epic battle will begin (maybe in about 3 months … sigh… can’t wait!)
And yes… I concur, the fight was too short.

this chapter sucked a litle …. i mean sasuke was almoast dead and then in an instent (burrrn) the bull is dead….ok almost dead ….so this sucked but as long as naruto is geting stronger and some things about pain or his parents shows up i dont mind

I really wish Karin died. Is that awful? We need a few less characters to keep track of that aren’t bad guys and Sarutobis (3rd and asuma).
The fight wasn’t too short. I think the eight tails surved his purpose on showing us Sasuke still has some room to grow and also gave us hope that Naruto wouldn’t be stuck in a genjutsu the whole time if they ever fight again. And it really was to usher in the Raikage who may be as ridiculous as the killer bee himself.
Glad that Naruto quickly learned sage chakras..pichiw..pichiw…blah…ohhh man but still….i want to see that book man!!!

The title sounds like its describing naruto. It’s proubly his “RESEARCH”, nothing but girls in it, i bet, like all his other books.
I’m pretty sure it was mentioned by the oldest toad when Jiraiya first goes to myoboku mountain that he will write a book of all his adventures, and then in a chapter near that we saw a flashback of Minato naming the unborn child Naruto with Kushina. I don’t think the fourth would disgrace his son with a sex novel..

This wasn’t short or lame. And somehow the fight is not over. The kage will want revenge, Taka must run o fight again.
I think this chapter was good because it open new gates for more possibilities in the tale. Like a alliance Konoha-Claud against Akatsuki-Uchihas… Many thinks can happen now.
And now Naruto finally have a chance against Pein, with the Senjutsu and jiraja’s book.

I share the sentiment of many with how quickly 8-tails fell, but now we know the TRUE power of amaterasu (meh, I wanted to see them actually duke it out). Where will Raikage aim for revenge? A loose net criminal organization in the shadows, or a village he can find on a map? Of course, this is the second citizen from the Cloud to be taken by Akatsuki (there may be an alliance with the Leaf, but I see conflict first).
Naruto’s training is going into the real deal soon. I hope Yoda will keep knocking some sense into him–I think Pein is just aprelude to the Leaf’s challenges.
Great job, loved the chapter ^.* just signed up lol I agree on the theory of Cloud alling with Konoha and maybe the sand (It be great to see Gaara again.)

Kakashi i think…. because he knows Chiyo’s revival jutsu and kakashi will revive someone like naruto and bah bah bah…
I don’t believe the Killer-Bee is down for the count… something will happen between team hawk and the Raikage… but its so unpredictable

-And weak victory? Call it what you want, he did what he had to do, when he could.
-He couldn’t do Amaterasu before because he hasnt’ mastered his Mangekyo yet. For all he might have known, maybe Itachi’s Amaterasu only activated because of Tobi. And if he could do it, he still probably knew it would hinder his vision, and knows only to use it in life or death situations. I doubt Itachi demonstrated all his techniques for Kisame.
-Anybody else notice on the bottom right corner of page 2/3, that only one of Sasuke’s 3 Mangekyo eye slits was visible? And it was only in his left eye. I think this might mean he has 3 slits, for each eye, resulting in 6 great MS techniques… hopefully.
-One theory I have is that Sasuke is planning to take the 8-tails somewhere, not Akatsuki. Which is why Kishi switches away right when Sasuke says “And now…”. I think Sasuke stepped up to go after the 8-tails so he could do it personally and Tobi wouldn’t send anyone else out after it. Then, he could foil Tobi’s plan of getting all the bijuu. He might even take him to Naruto, or where he thinks Naruto is, because I’m sure he’s aware the 8-tails is best for training Naruto.
-As all of you have said, I too think this could cause international conflicts. A question though, could the Raikage be stronger than the 8-tails? The Kage is suppose to be the strongest ninja in the village, but Nii claims she is the 2nd strongest, and since the 8-tails is clearly stronger than her, that leaves no room for the Kage.
-I am a strong believer in Guruku’s theory about the Jiraiya Gaiden thing, but I don’t think I’m looking forward to it. The current plot is so interesting, I’d be pissed to have to wait weeks to continue it.
-On a side note, why did Sasuke only reveal his Uchiha robe after winning the battle? did he use it to carry whoever he was carrying?
I think Sasuke, being the keen ninja he is, might have sensed those two cloud ninja, or might have even been counting on some bystanders for their colossal sized battle, and then purposely exposed the Konoha-born, Uchiha crest. These might have been direct orders from Tobi.

@ It looks like Kishimoto is trying to make up for the time he wasted in the Itachi vs. Sasuke fight… Still, this was waaaaay too easy, even though I like that fact that it was short. Sasuke took longer to kill Deidara, so WHY was the EIGHT tails so easy?! Also, Karin better be dead. She should STAY dead. She should be turned inside-out and strung up like a giant wind sock. XD
I still hate it. I really thought Bob had been kidding when he said he’s post it…

Regarding most of your theories:
@G: I’m with you on the Jiraiya arc.
@Sasuke showing the Uchiha crest: For me, that’s more of a statement. Sasuke is declaring that an Uchiha and not an Akatsuki underling pwned the 8tj. Now how the Cloud shinobi will interpret this, that’s a different story. However, I think that the Raikage wouldn’t think that this is Konoha’s doing. Surely he would have some info regarding the Akatsuki’s activities after that incident with the 2tj. But the chase is still on. The Raikage wouldn’t back down easily since his brother’s life is on the line.
@Sasuke’s plan re the 8tj: It would be foolishness on Sasuke’s part to betray Madara now. The odds are against him: He hasn’t fully recovered from his fight with Itachi, plus the exhaustion from the fight with 8tj. He’s still in the dark on the true powers of his MS. This fight should’ve taught him a lesson: never undermine your enemy’s abilities or suffer the consequences.
@The book: So Fukasaku is the whistleblower re Naruto’s parents? It’s the right time for Naruto to learn who his parents are. I want Naruto to feel whole (by completing his identity puzzle) as he’s progressing nicely with the training.
i agree bob this chapter or at least sasuke winning like that was gayyyy! naruto completing what we can probably call part one of his training wa awesome though..o and as far as konoha getting blamed for this i would hope the cloud know enough to understand akatsuki is made entirely of missing nin so they shouldn start blaming random countries for what they do!
Say what you will about it being a weak ending (it was…) … but at least it wasn’t all DBZ crazy “Oh look! I stopped your unbeatable attack because I’m even more unbeatable than your unbeatable attack!” I mean seriously…how lame would it have been if Amaterasu, the flame that can burn through anything, DIDN’T do a hell of a lot of damage if it actually hit someone?
yeah, we’re definitely the same guess guyz when naruto said that “now he can do it”, maybe this jutsu is to complete the nature manipulation w/ rasenggan…
btw, if wars is coming out then we probably know that the alliance of konoha for now is sand village…however, since quite too long we didn’t see the sand nins especially team of gaara…hmmm..

I got the update from my fellow co-worker (who is a Narutard but is on a different site and swears that its better than Naruto Hurricane but i just laugh and say he touches himself at night).
Anywho, he was like “Dude, the new chapter is out, but wait til you get home cause you’re not gonna like it.”
So what do i do when mommy says dont touch the cookies…………………..I ate that crap like it had my name on it right from the get go.
So i go to our Lovely friends at onemanga.com . And i see “Naruto (update 1)” and i’m like cool!!!!
and then i read it……………………………right when i read the end of the battle, i stand up (mind you i work in a call center) and i scream “WHAT THE HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” By the time i realized it, all my co-workers were looking dead at me, as if they were scared. But did i care…………HELL NO! so i got mad and added “What the hell are you looking at?” and then i took my lunch early.

Firstly, I totally agree with the weakness of the battle, so I will talk about Naruto. Oh but firstly, I would like to thank ol’ Kishi for FINALLY absolving himself of being a racist, by making a fellow black man a Kage! Good on ya-just hope his personality is more respectful than Killerbee! Anyway, I also disagree with Bob, I think what Naruto is talking about is the futon rasenshuriken, I mean as other people have commented it makes more sense. Secondly, I hope the book finally brings the link of him and jiraiya to light i.e. That ero-senin was his Godfather and that Minato is his dad and got the name from the book.
I don’t think that the Raikage will leave the village to go Team Hawk, I mean as raikage his job is to protect his hidden village, at most I think he will send people after the group. As for the Uchiha crest, it shouldn’t affect Konoha for 2 reasons: as people have said, he is known as a missing nin and secondly, most people mistake him for itachi another known missing nin. If Kishi makes him have beef with Konoha it won’t actually make sense
though everyone’s betting on the rasengan completion, I just don’t think that’s gonna be the case, I still believe he’s referring to “that” jutsu he was warned not to use, it was a jutsu introduced to him through his training with jiraiya during the timeskip and now that he’s gone through the same training as the one who introduced it to him, it just seems to fit that it would be “that” jutsu
the rasengan just feels so done to me, all naruto’s a/s-rank offensive powers seem like such double edged swords…i’d really like to see something fresh
and I’d assumed the rasenshuriken was finished, but maybe he’s gonna find a way to make it a long range attack, or finally learn to master it with one hand

I mean even ol’ Kyuubi, Naruto can’t even harness its power without loosing himself and as an aside I find it quite interesting how he’s so calm when naruto talks to him yet when he’s in 4-tails mode he’s all crazy! anyhoo, back to what I was saying, I think it would suck monkey balls if Kyuubi becomes irrelevent/unnecessary because then Minato’s whole reason for putting Kyuubi in him would be for nothing. I must say I really did dig this fake spoiler picture where naruto’s sage mode had him with longer hair and Kyuubi’s eyes complete with dark rings around them, that would have been cool, because this whole eye liner thing really just sucks.
Justa thought: So you know how kage bushin no jutsu divides his chakra equally between the clones, that should mean that when in sage mode, he should be able to use natural chakra to divide clones meaning that each clone has his normal amount of chakra!

Here’s another thing I’ve thought about its about the jutsu Naruto should learn. If all fukasaku has u his sleeve are the jutsu we saw Jiraiya use then there is no way naruto will beat Pein. I mean think about it Pein has already fought those jutsu and so fighting them again gives him the upper hand. So not only will it be very lame but also impractical. I wonder when he’s gonna learn how to summon different toads for different purposes though, its time he started to integrate them in battle. Additionally, it ‘that’ jutsu is the one jiraiya told him not to use, I really doubt its gonna be Minato’s lightning flicker thing because why would he be told not to use that? It must be another forbidden jutsu… So in his arsenal Naruto has 3 forbidden jutsu (Mass shadow clones, rasenshuriken & ‘that’ jutsu), 2 incomplete jutsu (rasengan and rasenshuriken) and a demon fox that burns his skin… he’s the gutsy ninja fo sho!

I agree with you, in this state he is no match for pein, even he learn all Jirayas jutsus. The solution is that Tsunade killed some of Peins clones and than comes Naruto and do the rest. Or Tsunade die, but before she dies, she reveals the secret of Pein, so that Naruto can use it for his fight. The third solution the develop a realy mighty jutsu.
Next Chapter should be very interesting.
I forgot to mention something of vital importance to pinpoint of this chapter. If you, dudes, noticed, Juugo said that Sasuke was still recovering from the wounds Itachi had inflicted on his little Emo brother, thus explaining Sasuke’s freaking crappy performance against Killer Bee. Overconfident Almost-Sixteen-Year-Old Sasuke thought that he was the Top Dog now that he had beaten his brother (Itachi planned to die in the first place, making Sasuke’s victory not really an accomplishment). He believed that taking care of the 8 Tails was like taking care of stupid Naruto. Also, he was used to healing more quickly with Orochimaru’s essence and cursed seal that now he lacks. Probably, Madara brainwashed Sasuke by telling him that he was able for the task, “Sasuke, ya gonna do alright, ya know. Man, it’s gonna be easy.”. In all likelihood, Madara wanted to put Sasuke in the verge of awakening his new MS power by making him SUFFER! Also, he may have planned to provoke another Great Ninja War by causing the uproar of the Killer Bee Bijuu (that what called the attention of the two Kumogakure Ninja). He sent Sasuke because he knew that, in his overconfidence, Sasuke was not going to try to use his best skills at the beginning to capture Killer Bee so that this Jinchuuriki would have a good time of fight to release his Bijuu form to, like I said before, draw attention to this fight.
In the long run, Madara pulls the strings in every small detail of his imperialistic dream.
Kazekage- I think that if Naruto is going to be training on how to use jutsu’s that J-man used he would make it more powerful than what J-man ever could. And maybe he’ll learn the jutsu’s that J-man thought he didn’t have a reason to learn because he was strong enough as he was.
The oter point i thought was looked over was that Juugo said what’s going on to Sasuke when he put out the black flames and healed Karin as if she was never burned so do he has the ability to burn and heal as he chooses?

Alright, so a lot of you are putting down amaterasu. If you think about it we have only seen 2 people put out amaterasu, Sasuke and Madara, all Jiraiya did was seal it away, plus Jiraiya and Madara are two of the greatest ninja in the Naruto series. Of course killer bee couldn’t do anything about it. The only way to defend amaterasu is to avoid it, and how could Sasuke miss that big target?
Actually Itachi stopped amaterasu too in chapter 390
About the ameratsu, I don’t want these jutsus to get so strong where it turns into a one or two move battle between ninjas, I love fist to fist blast and smashing not bang I blink an eye and take down a jinchuriki. Not another Dragon ball Z syndrome where its 10000000 power level to 20000000.

@ 61 MasterSensei – Good theory. Purely speculation; however, you were definitely able to analyze past the immediate image and look deeper into what MIGHT be the background story towards Madara’s thinking. (And Kishi’s at that)
I believe the book is gonna open up a gateway of answers. If this is the 1st book that Jiraya wrote, is the main Character who Minata and his wife named there son after? It could be safe to say the bodies of pein might be recorded in this book b/c of the great toad prophecy. Im with b.o.b about naruto being able to save the village and esecially “save” saskue with this new found power that doesnt include the Kyubbi. As for Sasuke and Team Eagle, at least the battle is over! Weak as it was, KillerBee did end up taking two Eye Technics. With KillerBees brother being Raikage, no wonder he was able to dodge Killerbees #8, things could get intresting. 3 more days! Giggty
Did Sasuke really ever get hurt in the battle against Itachi…
I went back and read some of it an most of it was genjutsu stuff with Itachi torching Sasuke’s body but Sasuke escaping by pulling an Orochimaru heal all… but besides that he just wore himself out.
I don’t think he actually got hurt.
It would be nice if someone could prove me wrong with some pages and chapter numbers.
I don’t think Naruto is working without the Kyuubi.
I think what the Sage technique allows him to do is balance the Kyuubi’s enormous Chakra with the enormous Chakra of nature itself.
Fact of the matter is the Kyuubi is going to have to start showing some respect. And maybe for once the two of them can become equal partners and work as a team because that’s what naruto needs to achieve to break the genjutsu nonsense.
I for one liked this chapter , was crappy that sasuke tooked down the 8 tails with one hit, but putting that aside, it showed how naruto was progressing.
Someone mentioned the upcoming battle with pein and tsunade killing a few of peins body, i hope she doesnt kill any at all.

i am quite surpised by the way the 8 tails got knocked out. 1 hit 1 kill. he look to be mushing team hawk espically sakuke lol. but surely he couldn’t die just like that. well maybe that just shows the power of the Amatserasu flames. but i think that was a watse of alot of chapters even though we learnt quite alot about team hawk abilities…

You know I have always been a fan of ol’ Minato, but its starting to dawn on me that he’s actually quite lame. I mean he GAVE HIS LIFE to seal Kyuubi in Naruto and save the village. Geez HIS LIFE people!!!! Akatsuki is going around giving these tailed beasts a solid ass-kicking! Yeah yeah yeah I know what some of you are gonna say ‘But they are in jinjuurikis’ But given that most Jinjuurikis allow their tailed beasts to take over means its pretty much like fighting a tailed beast and you see the flashbacks of how Kyuubi owned Konoha, bet they wish they just had Ameratasu then!
Just thought of something… fine and fair the 8-tailed jinjuuriki has been defeated, but in order to do a demon extraction it takes 10 Akatsuki member and the number of days increases with the strength of the tailed demon. So given that this is the second strongest demon it will take a VERY long time to extract the demon from him. What this means is that the invasion of Konoha will probably have to occur after this which means that even when pein gets to konoha we will have to do that outer body thing for a few days to extract the demon. But another important factor is that if the whole of team Hawk are replacing the fallen akatsuki members, then Akatsuki are currently 2 members short (Karin and Suigetsu). Now Madara could wait for them to heal, but a jinjuuriki heals faster than a normal ninja and so the 8-tailed jinjuuriki will be up and ready to pwn faster than Karin and Suigetsu will be ready to extract the demon from him.

Kazekage- I really think that Minato gave his life up to seal Kyuubi into his son Naruto for a bigger reason that what we are told at this time. Think back to watching the anime series where Sora’s dad was explaining how they (which is the Fire Country) wanted the Kyuubi but Minato already seal it before they got there to retrive and seal it into someone in the Fire Country but all that was left was the leftover chakra from the Kyuubi and they seal that up for 5yrs and then put it into Sora. So i believe it was a race to have it sealed into someone before the Fire Country get it because as we see the there is a riff between the Fire Country and the Leaf Village that existed back then so that might be some factors to Minato giving his life up like he did.

I am also a big fan of Minato but wat seems so lame is that comparing Minato to other ninjas who also sealed the Kyuubi into somone like the old lady Chio who sealed the 1 tail into Gaara, i mean she didnt hve to sacrifice anyting for it and now look at Akatsuki, how they are pwning Kyuubies so easily.
Two notes (re KazeKage) about Akatsuki’s success against the demons:
1) Way back when I theorized that Madara actually set the 9-tails on the leaf village deliberately to stir up resentment against the Uchiha clan. If this is true, Minato was fighting Madara + the 9-tails – a much harder fight.
2) the 9-tails is supposedly much, much, much more powerful than the rest of the demons. In japanese folklore, a 9-tailed fox is supposedly a god, omniscient and nearly all-powerful. The 9-tails has already shown in can shield itself from virtually any attack, and from what we saw in the fight agianst Orochimaru (and what we know about Jiraiya) just the 4-tailed state makes Naruto as strong or stronger than any ninja currently alive.
Also, so far it has been entirely mistakes on the part of the jinchuriki that resulted in defeat. Remember, Gaara only lost to Deidara because he had to distract himself to protect the Sand Village. “Killer Bee” (I feel dumber already) lost because he got cocky as hell and wasn’t really paying attention – and Sasuke happens to have one of the few “ultimate attack” type weapons against which there is literally no defense, if it hits you.

IMO, the duration does not really depend on the strength of the bijuu (theoretically, the more tails, the stronger the bijuu is). Likewise, bijuu extraction does not necessarily require 10 extractors. The 10 Akatsuki members included Oro, but since Oro left, there had been only 9 members (at present: Tobi/Madara, Pein, Konan, Zetsu, Hidan plus Team Bird). Thus, the length of the process may be correlated to the number of extractors (i.e. more members, lesser time of extraction and vice-versa).

I’m also curious about this. What if the Hachibi extraction coincided with Pein’s attack to Konoha? Maybe this is the time when we’ll get to see the true identity of Pein. The 6 bodies will take care of Konoha and the “real†Pein will be in the extraction process since it’s his job to summon the King of Hell statue. This is just my theory (and I suck at theorizing, but this is an effort, lol).
I totally hear your comments, … especially with regard to comment 1, but as was said by … sealing a tailed demon doesn’t seem to actually require a death. And if you think about it at the time of the invasion the Uchiha clan were the military police of Konoha and ameratasu is a known technique…. Hold on, brainstorm…. Maybe this is the origin of knowledge of the Uchiha conspiracy against Konoha, I mean with a whole clan of Uchiha, the 9-tails should have been pwnd without the 4th getting out of his seat – I mean we’ve seen how much it takes to make the hokage leave their seat (Tsunade didn’t leave when those 4 lightening peeps attacked or when Sora released pseudo-Kyuubi). So this is probably when the elders put plans into motion to eradicate the Uchiha. I don’t think Madara was there at this time.
i think this is really wrong because at the start of naruto the tailed beast were so powerfull that they could flatten mountains with just one tail. but from what i have seen the 8 tails (2nd strongest) was pretty weak compared to 9 tails at the begining of naruto, who couldn’t get defeated by the whole of konaha and as Kazekage-dono said this included the uchihas. if sukuke basically alone can kill the 8 tails and the whole konaha(including the uchihas) can’t kill the nine tails. there has to be something wrong. or maybe there is a huge boost of power between the 8 tails and 9 tails.
i have just had another thought.
i don’t think the uchiha clan was involved in trying to defeat the 9 tails because if madara is the one who summoned the 9 tails then he probably told the uchiha clan not to try and help… i dunno just thinking
@ X-jounin: The Uchiha had to have been there I mean they were the military police remember and it would have been very suspicious if the strongest ninja weren’t in a battle against the strongest threat. They would have had to be there at the very least not using their full potential if this was as I hypothesised the beginning of the plot that ended up causing Itachi to kill them all.
@ lady Hinata: the 10 Akatsuki members didn’t include Orochimaru. When he left, itachi went and got Deidara to join (remember the flashback from Deidara v Sasuke), so it does take a number of members to extract demons. And I personally think that part of Pein’s secret is that while he is not there, he is still fighting (in absentia [I'm a law student]) and therefore he would be unable to extract so long as his bodies are fighting

I disagree that everyone would have been sent out to fight the nine-tails…particularly if Minato is anything like his kid. Wouldn’t Naruto just insist that every go hide and protect their families while he goes out and deals with the problem? Is it so crazy to suggest that Minato might have done the same ?
Also, did Minato even know the secret of the Uchiha clan? We know Tsunade doesn’t – only the elders, the 3rd, and Danzo supposedly know…so would Minato have known? I tend to think not.
In fact – do most Uchiha even know? And could most Uchiha summon the force of will necessary to actually control the 9-tails?
The uchiha don’t usually have a mastery of the sharingan that is anywhere near what Sasuke, Itachi, and Madara have achieved. I mean, remember when Itachi’s dad found out about his power and he was in disbelief err something (I didn’t go back to read the chapter to double check so feel free to correct me).
The power to controll the ninetails is something for the elite of the uchiha. Maybe the Elders didn’t want the uchiha taking controll.
Or maybe the Uchiha made a vow to Madara that in his battle with Hashirama (and the leaf village) they wouldn’t interfear and so that word applied to Madara’s new attack on Konoha.
I think we’re looking back from a mountain top of very accomplished ninja and that may skew Minato’s awesomeness. When in fact we don’t know everything he was capable of and although he didn’t have as much chakra as some other ninjas, he had the speed and the smarts to beat most anyone. Even the nine tailed fox.
I also believe there’s a difference in the effectiveness of the seals as used on Gaara and the one used on Naruto. And that’s why the ninetailed fox chakra didn’t appear until Naruto got crazy angry at Haku.
Anyway, I would just like to say The 4th hokage was awesome.
@ Siskin: The flaw with your assertion is that had the pack been signed the uchiha would not have remained in Konoha after the 2nd Kyuubi attack I mean thik about it Godzilla attacks your city and the Army sit on their asses… you’d look for another army.
I do however agree with the thing about the seals though, I mean Gaara couldn’t sleep because of his. It makes me think that Chakra control is very important to Minato’s plans for Naruto. I mean having Kyuubi in him actually screwed up the flow of chakra in his body and I’m starting to think this wasn’t by accident, it was to make him eventually be able to balance huge amounts of chakra.
@ Merlin, the flashbacks from the battle and the deaths of ninja like Iruka’s parents show that lots of people fought in the battle against Kyuubi.

I don’t know about all of you but I didn’t think Sasuke’s victory wasn’t weak at all. Why do most of you poeple wants the battle to drag on longer than it already has? You gotta understand that this is not DBZ and the fight here in the Naruto world are very close to real life. They’re more logical. If you have two people battling eachother the one who moves the most gets tire quick right? Therefore he will likely lose the fight. Now here we have Sasuke beating the 8tail with Amaterasu and I see no problem with that cus sasuke already died twice and he is out of option. Plus haven’t you guyz heard of the phrase “Fight Fire with Fire.” Thats exactly what Sasuke did and that’s why he survived. Smart choice by the way considering the fact that Amaterasu flames can not be put out by anything including water. The 8tail beast form seem like it has fire like chakra surrounding his entire body. (just like the 9tail we see of Naruto) The Amaterasu undying flame kept burnging through the 8tail until it is exhausted just in time for Sasuke to learn his new move to put out Amaterasu. Which I think it’s a void or something Sasuke teleported away, cus again Amaterasu is inextinguishable. (like Kakashi did with Deidora using his M.Sharingan during the fight) I’m wondering why those cloud ninjas didn’t jump in to help out their fellow nin cus that was as good as any opportunity. Sasuke was low on chakra and most of his team is out. Anyway I’m just glad this battle is over with cuz obviously Kishimoto wants to go on with the story.

What was with him anyway, it seemed like he was half asleep the whole time. I don’t know, maybe Sasuke will snap out of it or master one of his techniques one of these days. When you look at it though Kishi has to give Sasuke over-powered jutsu that use way too little chakra or else Sasuke could never even hope to keep up with naruto. Don’t forget, once he has the fourth tail out not even the Kusanagi blade can hurt him. That meanse that with nine tails out maybe he has enbough chakra to counter amaterasu. I think Sasuke’s best jutsu will be Susanoo when he can actually use it.
