Naruto Chapter 414: Bulldozed By Bullying Bull

Holy Bull Tentacles! Chapter 414 is here and it doesn’t disappoint. The 8-Tails Jinchuuriki has transformed into his beast state and threatens to crush Team Hawk with his sheer size alone. Two cloud ninjas who arrive on the scene refer to him as ‘Killerbee‘, which I think is pretty corny. They also mention that the Raikage’s orders were for him not to transform into his tailed beast form – this reveals that like Nii Yugito, ‘Killerbee’ is also directly under the control of Hidden Cloud Village.
Frankly, I don’t understand why the Eight Tails bothered to transform. He clearly had the edge over Sasuke and everyone else while in human form, so why waste energy to transform? I’m thinking that by transforming, he has actually reduced his advantage over Sasuke. Sure he has more power now, but I bet that he has lost a lot of speed – and as we have witnessed in the last few chapters, this Jinchuuriki’s incredible speed is what defeated Sasuke at every turn, including his Sharingans.
Juugo finishes transferring part of his chakra and flesh into Sasuke, but then turns into a kid? This is a surprising turn of events. Jugo’s cursed seal also recedes after he finishes healing Sasuke, which makes me wonder if his reverse aging and cursed seal ability are directly linked or not. I wonder if Jugo is in reality a lot younger than we think due to his large size? It could be that the same enzyme inside his body which gives him the cursed seal abilities is also having an affect on his body’s growth hormone production. It’s known that people with an over active hypothalamus can grow into giants even while they are still young. Maybe Jugo’s condition is something similar to that. My questions are: Would Jugo turn into a little baby if he continued healing Sasuke? Since Sasuke has part of Jugo inside him now, had he regained his cursed seal abilities?
The Eight Tails keeps attacking, but Suigetsu uses the surrounding water to block the large beast. But it appears the Eight Tails also knows how to use the dark chakra cannon like Naruto’s Four-Tails form does. Suigetsu takes the complete brunt of the blast and is reduced to a Jello mold. This was a surprisingly selfless act on Suigestu’s part, even he was surprised that he is consciously protecting his teammates. And Suigetsu isn’t the only one who is finally understanding the meaning of teamwork and self sacrifice. Sasuke, in this moment of desperation, has finally realized that the actions of his teammates were all done to protect him; and for a single moment, he actually remembers back to Team Kakashi. Well, it’s only taken a couple hundred chapters, but I think Sasuke is finally beginning to understand that he wouldn’t have reached where he is today without the support of his team, either past of present. With that, Sasuke unleashes the Amaterasu on the Eight-Tails. But will it be enough?
The other part of chapter 414 focuses on Naruto’s training with Fukasaku. It’s amazing that it’s only been a few days and Naruto is already able to channel nature energy enough in order to lift one of the giant stone frogs. Even Fukasaku is surprised by the speed at which Naruto has advanced; he notes that Naruto is quicker at this than Jiraiya but is also more foolish. What I want to know is how Naruto compares to his father, Minato Namikaze, when he underwent the sage training. But no matter what, I can see Naruto becoming crazy strong at the end of his training. This isn’t just about mastering a particular jutsu like in Naruto’s past training sessions, this is about improving his physical abilities and fine tuning his chakra channelling abilities. Heck, if Jiraiya had taught Naruto the sage arts during those 2.5 years they traveled together, I bet Naruto’s first encounter with Sasuke in part 2 would have been a lot different. Keep it up Naruto, I think you’re finally on the right path to getting closer to Sasuke’s level.

Wow another good chapter but if karin thinks the eight tailed beast has large chakra should see nin-tailed fox, and the village and the eight tailed seem to be on good terms but it said that that know cared aboout the tailed beast, and if those two cloud know about the 2 tailed and 8 tailed demon that must mean 2 and 8 tailed muts know each other, and one other points why didnt show the black skin burn like naruto and he’s only used one genjutsu with his new sharingan and his eyes are already bleeding whick means if itachi transferred his eye techniques must have given him the draw back but he does have itachi eyes if he goes blind and about time naruto mastered sage arts and it is just me but you bought this up preciouvly that jugo looks like yahiko but now he looks excatly lik yehiko someone must be being lazy

if Juugo will become a little kid….maybe let’s just accept that he will be pawned with the Killerbee!and now is the time Sasuke realize or refresh its mind and remember his memories from the past…maybe he could get lesson from that team Kakashi and other ninjas of konoha in that way he recieves encouragement and maybe…just maybe hell pwn that giant waitin for ninjas to be pawnd..

This chapter was the one that determined fate for everyone. Naruto shown great promise with the sage Arts training while Sasuke learned that there is no I in Team work.
I am wondering what will happen to Suigi when the Amatseru comes close to him. like Bob said, he is a jello like state. Will he be able to pull himself together to avoid it or will he be evaporated from the heat.
I hope Sasuke doesn’t get the cursed seal powers again from Jugo. I thought the whole thing with Itachi was torid Sasuke of it
Amaterasu is old news – we have already seen the damage that it can cause. I think it’s high time for Sasuke to awe us with new techniques. Now, if his trump card is really the Amaterasu, then be prepared to feast on burnt BULLtopus.
Juugo turned into a kid after fusing with Sasuke. Same questions: Will this reactivate Sasuke’s cursed seal? And what about Juugo’s abilities? Will those regress as well?
IMO, the reason why the 8tj transformed into his bijuu state is because he wanted to get this fight over and done with. He may have miscalculated this move and that remains to be seen.
I don’t mind Kishi shifting from the fight to Naruto’s training. Everyone seems to be happy to see Naruto finally make headway with the Sage training. Now with that strength and chakra level, the only thing missing is some brain in this boy. Isn’t there a jutsu that could make him smarter or something? lol

Sasuke is not a deity, but a mere mortal being. He’s still breathing because his comrades had come to his aid in his near-death experiences. It took him two hits to realize that no man is an island. His recollection of Team 7 shows that they hold a special place in his heart.

I feel like this chapter will be the turning point. Possibly the chapter that everyone is going to be talking about.
Not only has Naruto proven himself to be up to par with his training, and on the way to leading a life where he can defend himself from Pein; we also have Sasuke remembering his roots. This leads back to the wise words Kakashi said to Sasuke, and realizing when to let things go. The teamwork aspect also came into affect in this chapter. I think all the puzzle pieces are coming into place starting this chapter.
On a side note, I feel like 2 out of the 3 people Sasuke chose were nothing more than energy buckets for Sasuke to feed off of. I find that to be lame. And why is Sasuke so weak right now?

I hope the cursed seal, isn’t a side effect of Juugo giving his flesh to Sasuke…but that stuff kinda’ complements eachother, a.k.a. if Juugo gives his own flesh/bone/blood… technically, the donor loses something *duh*… and here Juugo’s humongous overlygrown enzymes given to Sasuke heal him, but Juugo regresses to the state he was before…. But i think this is just temporary, you can’t kill enzymes, without killing that person…. therefore, Juugo is just gonna grow back, at one point in time…

omg ok, so I’m writing a yaoi fanfic and I was trying to find Sasukes Katon: Grand Fireball technique in the japanese words and I started reading all of Sasukes abilities and at the very end, the Makangyo Sharingan one says, “After Sasukes final battle with Sasuke blahblahblah” I figured that was a typo since he fought Itachi. O_o”

Honestly I don’t think its been days I mean Sasukes fight with the Jinchuuriki hasn’t been that long I think Naruto learned the Sage chakra arts in hours not days! I agree, I hope Naruto becomes hella strong, And whats are Sakura and the others doing they better be training!
Sasuke looks like he is about to do some damage, if the amaterasu doesn’t work he will have to use KIRIN and SASANOO! But if that doesn’t work then I don’t know what will!

This was a great post. This post was very intresting and right on the point. A lot of what you said in the post was right. You had a lot of really good questions that change the way i thought about the subject. I think that the reason that Eight-Tails transform was to finish the whole squad off with one big attack, seeing how he changed size in all. Since every time the Eight-Tails is about to kill sasuke, one of his friends help save him; when jugo gave sasuke his flesh and when the girl cured him by biting her. So he is tired and wants to get this over with. I dont think that sasuke will regain the curse since orouchimaru had to BITE him. If jugo gave some of his flesh to sasuke what will happen to jugo then? Also i think that the amaterasu want harm the Eight-Tails since Madara survived the attack.
This was a great episode… I liked when naruto lifted the stonefrog and I’m wonderung why Jugo turned in to a kid?????. I don’t think amaterasu is going to kill the 8-tailed beast. Sasuke must run away… killerbee is to dangerous
I cant imagine that after the training Naruto can master the full senjutsu, because even Jiraya cant handle it full and he had a lot more time to do it.
Of course Naruto can use Kage bunshin, but you also need intelegance to handle it.
I think that if the 8th transform into the beast it will harm him like Naruto in the 4th tail form. Thats why the cloud ninja says he shouldnt do it.

The Eight-Tails is much older than naruto so maybe he had more time to practice with his beast then naruto.
I think the 8th can fully control the beast, he also can talk when he is in this state. But the cloud ninja says that the raikage told him not to transform. I think it has his side effects, what ever it is.

I’m still wondering who the Three-Tailed Turtle Demon was back at Chapter 317? I felt kind of sad when Hidan and Kakuzu defeated Nii Yugito (Two-Tailed Demon Cat). I almost forgot about the old guy back at Chapter 353 he was defeated in battle by Kisame. This unnamed Jinchuuriki was older than any other previously seen Jinchuuriki. He contained the four-tailed demon. It is unknown what animal the bijuu was.
I think that team Hawk will win but one or two teammates will die.
Oooo~! Naruto is so awesome! ^-^ Naruto is pretty smart when he needs to be. :3 Like how he defeted Kakuzu. So it’s understandable that he learned that stuff so fast. He also learned chakra manipulation fast too.
My only qualm is if Suigetsu is officially brain dead at this point.
- The MS evolution need to be trigger by EMOTIONS? Sasuke used Amaterasu with his own MS paten this time, and only after realizing of his feelings toward Taka – after noticing that Juugo, Karin and Suigetsu, like Naruto and Sakura, are his friends-. The possibility of loosing them triggered the dojutsu, like the massacre awakened his sharingan years ago.
- @ SSJ loved your theory about KARIN’s cursed SEAL. But there is chance that Sasuke have been training, and had problems to control his new power, causing him to get constantly be beaten.
- How old is Juugo? He turned into a youngest guy after giving his flesh to Sasuke.

I really liked this chapter since we get to see Sasuke realizing friendship/team support and also Naruto getting the hang of Sage Arts. Hrm i kinda think Sasuke wont finish the 8tail wit this Amaterasu coz we still hvnt seen the full extend of sasuke’s MS. And btw did anyone think that this fight will go abit longer coz we get to see killerbee’s twin bro xd. he seems strong as well since 8tj mentioning that he is the onli one to dodge his atks.

I think people have overlooked a few points… 1. Right now sage arts are just looking like tsunade-sama’s super strength 2. killerbee said that suigetsu had the upperhand bcoz of his water attacks.
i dnt see why sasuke is outta chakra when he hasnt used any chakra intensive techniques plus he needs to use the sharingans mimicking ability to mimic suigetsu. amertasu seems like it can only be an escape strategy if it doesnt work
As 4 naruto at least he is doin his tha-i dont agree with bob that minato knew the sage arts it really would have popped in by now as fukasaku compares jiraiya’s students. i just wana see this training translate into new jutsu, super strength is just weak.
In flashback you see Minato fight against the 9tailed and he was on top of a frog. He defintly knows the sage arts
@UltimateHokage That just means he had a contract with the toads as we all knew from the scroll with him jiraiya and naruto’s names on em, that’s completely different from sage arts, naruto has summoned toads before this training
I dont think that a Hokage like minato cant master the sage arts, because he seems very talented and intelligent. And you cant be a hokage without some skills, I mean he was the follower of Sarutobi and develop some jutsus like rasengan, body flicker and
death god ritual. It seems improbable to me that someone with this potential cant master the sage arts.
i really liked this chapter. mainly the bit about sakuke remembering team kakashi looks their is hope after all
I don’t know about you guys, but to me, this bull is more menacing than the Kyuubi. As far as power level, he is on a whole nother level than anybody or anything we have seen yet in Naruto. (On a side note, doesn’t he look like he’s made of wood?)
When I saw that giant force of water tha Suigetsu surged at Killerbee, I thought it was the forming of Susanoo for some reason. We also learn that his sword is fine again, maybe it has some sort of self-healing properties, or maybe it was something Suigetsu did, I don’t know, but his attach of page 4 makes him look like a badass.
I’m thinking that maybe that black guy out of the 2 cloud ninja might be the 8-tails’ brother. My guess is that Sasuke will some how render the jinchuuriki unconscious or weak, (maybe not), but instead of bringing him to have his bijuu extracted, those two will snatch his body up and flee.
Don’t really care to mention anything about Naruto’s training, it was cool to see him improve, but it was all so predictable. We all knew before he even got there that he would pick it up insanely fast, he does it every time he trains.
It’s seemed like Sasuke has always performed better when he pours his emotions into his attacks, especially for the right reasons. Like when he protected Sakura from Orochimaru, back during the chuunin exams, or the speed he performed protecting Naruto from Haku, or the skill we saw in the Itachi fight out of hatred. I think Sasuke is like a saiyan, he is a better fighter when he cares. His first Amaterasu wasn’t so great, on Tobi, but he wasn’t even expecting it. This “Emotional Amaterasu” will probably be on another tier from what we have seen from Sasuke’s Mangekyou techniques so far.
“Sasuke’s Decision,” as Kishi called the next chapter, will either be about pushing his eyes, at the cost of his vision. It could be about deciding whether or not he’ll let the 8-tail’s live, now that he seems to have some good sparked back into his heart, or it could be that after the fight he’ll decide if he wants to go back home, he seems a little homesick.

the thing about the Sage Arts though, is that you need to have an enormous amount of chakra to master it or to even be taught it. And I believe Naruto is doing such an awesome job so quickly is because of his mass clone training. Also, all of this is happening in a week’s time. CH 408, Tsunade said that information from the autopsy would take at least a week. It’s during this time that Fukasaku is training Naruto.
As for Sasuke, I agree with most of you that he’s beginning to realize the value of his team and what it means to be a team. It’s weird though that Amaterasu came out cause I thought it was a defense mechanism against Madara. But with Sasuke version of the MS, I guess he can use whatever whenever. I think though that it will surround the 8-tails and he’ll be trapped. Then Team hawk will think they won, then the cloud ninjas step in to help, but by then Amaterasu would have worn down the beast back to human form. But we’ll have to wait and see what actually happens.

Its gonna be redonkulous to see how much power (Chakra) Naruto will have at his command. He has crazy amouts from the Nine-Tail already, but to harness Nature Chakra would give Naruto almost an unlimited supply. But yes, he does need to smarten up. As for Sasuke and his Amaterasu, unless KillerBee has a way to stop this black flame, they say it is suppose to consume all in the users vision. As for SSJ SASUKE, if he does push his eyes to the limit for his new found Family, he would have to go to Madara for his new eyes, but at what price? And yes that Cloud ninja has to be KillerBees’ brother.

Man I read the chap already but I cant believe how much better it sounds when cast into an overview like this. I do hope that naruto gets stronger but I dont think that he’ll master the sage arts anytime soon. And sasuke looks loike he might die(hopefully for good) if he doesnt do something fast! go eight-tails!

I don’t think that Sasuke will get Cursed Sead mode again, but some changes he must suffer. Or better this transplant can help him to undo part of the harm caused by the use of the MS.

I have so much question about minato, what were his jutsus, how he became hokage, how he lost his wife,
was he stronger than jiraya and how old he was as he became hokage.

bob said that the 8 tails guy may have had more of an advantage over sasuke when in part beast mode than he has in his present form…i think that is so true..it doesnt look like the 8 tails could move very fast like suigetsu stated. its only his tail that is able to move quick.. this is a huge disadvantage for the beast..one thing i got from watching the film “kung fu hustle” is that the guy said “speed determines the winner of a fight”…although i do not fully agree with it, the fact is that speed has a huge effect on the tides of a fight…….now it is looking very possible that the fight may very well go to sasuke.. like madara, i too could “vouch for sasuke”

I am so happy to see that sasuke was thinking of team 7 (THERE IS HOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!) . but wow, that 8-tailed beast…………………man i hope he teaches Naruto how to control his. I mean, he would be the BEST teacher for Naruto in the “Control that beast inside of you” department. But we shall see.

I also noticed that Sasuke used the MS twice within one fight, and he was bleeding profusely. Is he going blind? Will he not be able to use it pretty soon?
I honestly do not believe the 8 tailed beast will last that long in the series… I am just more concerned with the blindness that will be Sasuke if he keeps resorting to the power of his eyes.
Guruku-I’m concern about Sasuke blindness, too. He was bleeding really bad but as I recall he still have Itachi’s pair of eyes. I know that he didn’t want to use then because :” he have his path to follow ” ,but maybe that will be his last chance to restore his eye sight when he goes blind.
Hmmm.. Right, Right… How Would Sasuke recover in this fight… so if he tends to Go For the power Of his Eyes.. he would go blind and be like his brotha.. until he uses itachi’s eyes… Been Pondering Much On How He’s Gunna Defeat This Bully Beast.. in this case that it has been like.. in its true form.. so.. how will he revert it… if he is going to save the bijuu for accumulating its powers..

I think it was Ultimatehokage who said that Amaterasu can’t work on Killerbee because Madara dispelled it. That means nothing. Madara is a Uchiha with MS so he is most probably able to use this technique and therefore knows the ins and outs of it. He also said that Itachi didn’t know everything about him…. I just want to know, if Amaterasu is successful and how the castor stops it.
Also, did Itachi go blind at the end of the battle? Would his eyes still be useful? Because when Madara transferred his brother’s eyes he was not yet blind so still had the power of MS to take… hm
With regards to Pein – yeah, seems like hes walking backwards…. on his finger and thumb to get to Konoha. I feel Naruto doing a classic Goku, ‘nearly everyone is dead’ type arrival.

can´t remember that I said that the Amaterasu dont work on killerbee, I only think thats not enough for the killerbee.
Maybe sasuke shows us sasunoo and/or a new MS technique.
It would dissapoint me if the 8th could be defeat by Amaterasu, because even sasuke was able to handle Amaterasu in the fight against Itachi.
i dnt want another cliche where the hero always arrives and saves the day…..what if naruto doesnt arrive at all to save konoah from peins destruction?…now that will be interesting……so, possiblities are:
1. Pein comes, realizes naruto is not there, and leaves..(unlikely)
2. Pein attacks the villiage to draw naruto out..(fukusaku left a communication toad)
3. Naruto doesnt show up and arrives to a destroyed konoah,.swears to kill pein……again..
i think that this is where the fight properly begins.. the last few chapters have totally been one sided…the ameratsu may/will not kill the 8 tailed beast but is a good start to sasuke fighting for other people and a good sign of him succeeding… ever since sasuke stopped fighting for other people, he has stopped progressing.. this is evident in how weak he is right now when without the curse seal.. if you look back, sasuke had always won or contributed alot in the victory of a fight when fighting to protect others…e.g, haku vs naruto and sasuke……. i still dnt want him to work with other people (i dnt like teamwork..too corny) but rather i want him to get a boost from fighting FOR them..kinda like naruto…….. i think from now, sasuke will show us some interesting things.. we might even get to see susano’o
i think this next coming chapter the more exciting and best fight of team hawk vs. 8th together w/ his cl0ud friends…
meanwhile, i also more excited to naruto’s improvement…and sooner, he will new about to his dad…hope so, kishi will reveal about the 4th life…

I think Sasuke is more like itachi than we realize, like how we thought Itachi was just a super cool murdering bastard =D but then we found out he really cared about Konoha/sasuke and had it all planed out. Same goes for Sasuke, we think hes a selfish traitor but this chapter gave us the hint hes doing it all for team 7 … so i think hes like itachi whether he like it or not
oh and i think we alll know kishi wont do the classic ‘hero saving the village’ even tho its soooooo goood when happen;)
I don’t like the fact that the Cloud Village has/had two Jinchuriki (however you spell it) and are quite weak… when I say that, I mean the fact that they have been barely mentioned until now.
I’m bored at work… and only have access to the net here 1230-1330 GMT. Is like EVERYONE from the states here or something?
and what i was thinking is that if there were two jinchurikis in the villiage, why didnt hidan and kakuzu go for the both of them.. could it be its because this jinchuriki is kinda new to the villiage. or hidan and kakuzu just did not know….i think if hidan and kakuzu found this 8 tails, they would more than likely have beaten him… considering hidan and kakuzu’s immortality ability, they would have been the perfect team for the 8 tails..
Wow. i think we’ll get to see more surprises in the coming naruto chapters. Chapter 414, i think, is the transitional chapter – naruto finally becoming strong and sasuke finally showing signs of goodness again.

The Cloud Village is not a weak village. it is one of the 5 major villages of the shinobi world, and it is the village of the raikage. as to why they have 2 jinchuurukis, im not particularly sure, just some hunches. i also hope kishi will shed light abt this soon
Guruku, I don’t think Sasuke’s going blind just after a few months (that have passed away with Itachi)…
Itachi used his Mangekyou Sharingan almost non-stop… for 5 or 6 years… so it took him awhile to go blind after overuse..
Naruhina1 – I think they didn’t go for two because each Akatsuki team takes on one each ‘go’. I might have that wrong, some keeno will correct me if I am. But, taking on the second strongest Bijuu, you probably would have to be at full strength. And also, Madara could have planned on Sasuke going after the 8 tails at the same time he planned for Hidan and Kakuzu going after their target.
@Goldenchild02…i dnt think they have to go for only one each time. if you look in manga chapter 313 page 17, it shows that kakuzu tells hidan that they were assigned to capture two. and that the fire country was next….yea you probably will need to be at your strongest if taking on the second strongest bijuu. but considering the fact that they are both immortals, i think they have a bit of a leeway in the chakra conservation department .. as long as the the 8 tails does not know the in and outs of their ability, and hidan has kakuzu with him to sow his body parts together, then the team is good…and looking at the 8 tails fighting team hawk, it does not look like he does allot of analysing if not none at all…..together, the team would have been able to get ther 8-tails’s blood for hidan’s technique……..if i remmember right, hidan and kakuzu went for the 2 tails before sasuke had even killed orochimaru. for madara to have planned it from all the way back then, he must have been a realy good theorist or guesser.. i mean, to guess that sasuke was going to kill orochimaru, to guess that sasuke was going to join akatsuki..although madara has proved himself correct on allot of things, he has also shown that he is not quite on top of things like he thinks he is.. for example, the fact that he did see the ameratsu coming that itachi planned as a last ditch effort to kill him..considering the relationship itachi and madara had (built on hate), i would have expected madara to have guessed something like that was going to happen; itachi did a good job in predicting what madara will do…………… so madara planning something like that from that far back. hmmm,(unlikely)
maybe madara went into the future to see how it would turn out and that’s why I know that you’re all doomed.
