In the Eyes of a Child…….
Post Author: Ikamuzu Oturan aka IO
So I was originally scheduled for a FanFic Blog. However, with recent events, I have been inspired to write this new blog on a fresh new topic. I feel the FanFic department is well established, and can do without my story. With that being said, I move on with this blog. But first we must start with what inspired me to write this blog………and it begins in a park.
Being the best uncle EVER (kukkukukukuku), I decided to take my niece and nephew to the park. My niece is 4, and my nephew is 2. It was the most beautiful day ever. The sun was shining, the wind was blowing, it was the greatest. I was sitting there as an onlooker as my niece and nephew played a game of “castleâ€. Now my niece is really prissy, so of course she was the Princess. And being the snob that she is, she forced my nephew to be her servant.
As I watched them play, a thought came to my head. ‘I wonder how these kids are gonna turn out when they grow older…..’ And then I started to think: Gandhi, Hitler, Batman, Joker, whatever the situation, they all started out the same way: as a child. You see, in reality (at least for the most part), kids just live life. They have no plans, no goals, no objectives……..they just are. After researching the topic with a Narutard Eye, I came up with the idea for this blog.
Orochimaru, Gaara, Naruto, everyone was just born into the world. As a child, these kids had no idea who they would become in the future. They just were. Now when it comes to the subject of Gaara, we all know that his father intentionally sealed the tailed beast inside of him. But growing up, Gaara knew nothing. As a child, Orochimaru wasn’t always creepy and seeking to kill everyone (at least I hope not). I’m pretty sure he was normal for a time………right?? How bout we just skip him.
Naruto’s situation is pretty messed up. I mean talk about wrong time, wrong place. Being born as the Fourth’s son while he is fighting the biggest, meanest, most powerful beast of all was just fate for an unfit life. So you have two Jinchuuriki and a freak-o. Now of course with their situations, each was going to live a very troubling lifestyle. But if kids can’t tell the difference when they are young, where do they get the idea that these individuals are “different How were these individuals treated so horribly if the other children didn’t know of their secrets? The same as in reality: their parents.
You see, I have recently learned that the saying is true: ’it takes a village to raise a child.’ What the saying lacks to say is: the child will be taught to feel as we feel. The child will hate as we hate, love as we love, and live as we live. The child will do as we say. Any other actions will be deemed intolerable and inexcusable. The fact of the matter is that the choices of the previous generations in the Naruverse continue to cause conflict and animosity for current and future generations.
It was the Greed of Gaara’s father that caused him to have a demon sealed in him. It was the heroic act of Yondaime that cause Naruto to be the host of Kyuubi. It was the act of incest that causes Orochimaru to be so weird (kukukukukukuku).
I guess my point is, if kids were to make there own choice about Naruto, or Gaara, or Orochimaru, or anyone for that matter as a kid, then they wouldn’t have gone through life the way they did. I think all of us have seen this or dealt with this first hand. So I ask a simple question: Why? Why does history continue to repeat it self in Naruto? Why is it so hard to think like child does and see the world for what it is and not what it was? A granddad once said, “The perfect way to live life is to be as a child is.†I finally get what he means.
And on that note…………………ON TO THE FUNNIES!!!!!!!!!!

I completelly agree with you IO. That could be one of the things Kishi-sama was trying to go for in the show…or not. But yeah, there have been so many people, especially in the fillers that are “Just like me(Naruto).” Honestly
I stopped watching them because they were all the same. A sad, lonely kid who gets better by meeting Naruto.
Sometimes adults don’t realize their fooleshness by doing that. Then again parents are trying to protect their kids. :S
Awesome blog, IO!
I’ve always loved the poem If A Child by Amanda Cater. Being the eldest of 8 siblings, I kinda have these moments wherein I reminisce the old times. There’s just this nostalgic feeling of remembering how they were as babies. And in a snap back to reality, I just wonder, where have all those years gone by? Fortunately none of them have gone to self destructive (I’m gonna kick their asses from here to the North Pole if they do).
But for those who aren’t so fortunate, like some of the characters in Naruto, one could just hope that it isn’t too late for them. There will always be hope with the dawn of the new day. For those who have died without seeing the light, hopefully they are in a better place right now where their hearthaches and hardships are forgotten.
Life as a kid that’ld be great i.o. things would be a whole lot different kids learn from adults even when it doesn’t look that way. Its up to us to pass on the right and good things so they can pick up on them and learn them and when time comes pass them on to their kids as well.
Wow Lady Hinata! 8 siblings!! O_o” You poor thing~! And I thought living with 3 of my brothers was tough! How did you survive~?!? O_o”
Wow IO, its been ahile since I read anything from you. talk about back in style! gratz man, one kick ass original blog.
5th and I know how it feels to be picked on. I mean i may not really be Naruto but i’m picked on cuz i like naruto. Ive been picked on since the 3rd grade cuz i picked my nose. Now its for what i like and i am sick and tired of it. Why would some one pick on some one and ur right IO that it comes from parent cuz its like this say some parent is taliking to there kid” You know if some one is different and not ur friend that u are better than them and they are Garbage.” I think thats what it is Oh and i am glad i have my fellow narutards!
It is up to us, to help and quide the next generation.Children are so influenced by who is around them. We must show what is wrong and what is right. If no one shows them, they will grow up learning lessons the hard way. To ensure the next generation grows up properly all of us must help out. A very good post IO. It brought up some good points and made people think

Great post.
this is a great blog it is true as children we don’t think about the future. mabye if things had been different things would be better for them
You know what they say children are the future and their future is based on how thier parents act towards them and their envioroment.
Naruto would have been a happier kid if the villagers didn’t hate hin so much, its not his fault, its like in blog naruto was born in the wrong place in the worng time.
Good Job!
oooohhhh BayBies…! Wew..! I Do Agree At Some Point That History Would Just Repeat Itself.. And the Parents Would Or Will Pass On Their great Heroism And deeds Onto Their Sons and Daughters In The Future… But even Though That Would be The case.. we Cant help the Fact That Our Kids *i dont have ANY!* will Grow Up The Way They Would Depending On how The Parents Treat them When They Were Still a child…
*i kinda agree on ninja J!..

G.P. I.O. ! 100% sweet true!!!!
The funny pick “kunai†is priceless.
Parents (tutors, relatives) must educate us with moral and religious values; otherwise we will learn those (+ or -) from people on the streets. Evil and good things surround us, and we choose every (according to our values).
We never now how much suffering and sadness is hidden in the persons that we see every day (Narutos, Gaaras, Oroshimarus, Itachis, Chojis, Lees…). Saying hello, smiling, being respectful to them can made the difference. Being mean, rude, aggressive, disrespectful we can push a kid or an adult to made a bad choice. And with kids is even more, smales will copy everything.
@ Lady Hinata Elder of 8? You must deserve a golden medal for service and bravery on duty!!!! Love your attitude.

I worked at a newspaper for a while (a jungle), every morning I entered smiling and saying hello, simply because I was taught manners. One day I was more depressed than ever and missed ….. A stevedore followed me, and asked “Are u ok? Can I help u?†Why? I replied. “Because you are the only height-class on the building that always said hi to the service and machine’s workers, and today you fail to do soâ€. Height class? He told me that they were always talking happily about the “Petit French lady†witch was different from the rest of the heels ladies and guys on suits. Zu zu, they called me “Pettit French ladyâ€, and talked about ME! After that day I never failed again to say hi, and even took more attention to them. They would show me pictures of their families, introduce me girlfriends, ask me advise (people far older than me, like my father and more), even send me a teddy bear at friendships day. You see how deep we can affect people with a simple “HI!â€
Nice blog I.O.I had many times thoughts like these. It’s good to learn other opinions about that subject.
You know i have seen in TV a tvspot of an organization who protects kids which show babies in hospital rooms and has some black lines like “John 15 years old went to jail for robbery” ”Anna 17 went to jail for murdering her family”"And then a voice says.If you believe some people/children are born criminals then put them to jail right away!Or help them have a better life.
Man i talk too much. Now about Oro..i think he was always weird.Like Power Puff Girls.Giant cirlce heads and arms and legs like sausages!!!
Back with a bang. I guess that yours “writer blockade” is finally over.
I love blogs with these subject matter…when you trying to connect real life with Narutos world….Nice blog I.O and although I like your fan-fic blogs it seems that this kind of posts suit you better(where your humor and sympathy toward other ppl who are less happy, can be fully expressed).
Keep up the good work,buddy.
wow! wat a great blog Even though i post late… i’ll b a child forever joke! heheheh..
well the things that i only knew about the Kids or children… is that they get their manners from their parents… or how the parents treat their children …
the children are very Observative they looked up to their parents, big brothers, sisters and the elders as their MODELS,they will imitate them because they believed that this people they Looked up to are Right!…..
So,, we grownups should be careful of what we do, or what we say, because we have a great influence over them we are responsible for what they will become in the future… the formation of their attitudes beliefs, emotion and their mental development are greatly affected by their environment…..
+++[thats all i can saY! ^^ ]+++ by the way
