Naruto manga chapter 412 – The Pwnage of Sasuke

This was a surprising turn of events, I didn’t expect Sasuke to seriously get stabbed by the Eight-Tail’s last attack. Where’s all the smooth moves Sasuke pulled off during his battle against Itachi? This Eight-Tails must be something else to pwn Sasuke so badly only two chapters into the fight. It’s kinda strange that Sasuke would allow himself to get injured like this – he didn’t use genjutsu, clones or simple body replacement jutsu… what gives? You can argue he’s just trying to go easy because he was told not to kill the Jinchuuriki, but Madara didn’t tell him to get killed himself either.
But I guess fighting a super tough opponent like this will teach Sasuke and the rest of Team Hebi a valuable lesson: teamwork. With everyone getting new robes and trying to do cool poses all the time, they forgot about the “Team†part of “Team Hebi.†Well, now that they’re getting their collective asses whooped by a stereotypical black gansta rapper, maybe they’ll begin to see that teamwork can mean the difference between winning and death in a pitched battle.
And dang, this Jichuuriki even has the same lightning chakra channelling abilities like Sasuke. His chakra light sabre (Kishi’s totally ripping off StarWars here LOL), he cut through Suigetsu’s sword like it was cardboard…. So much for one of the legendary swords of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist. Jugo also joins in the fun and performs his pile-driver punch on the Eight-Tail’s face. It’s no where close to stopping the Eight-Tails, but it does buy some time for Sasuke to suck on Karin’s ….. chakra. Now this was a surprising new ability to see in Karin. She’s now both a GPS and a living bandaid dispenser. If you get a cut, just chomp down on her arm and all your wounds will be healed instantly. And based on her expression when Sasuke biting into her, she’s also a perverted masochist – bad Karin!
Sasuke regains his HP and does a tag team attack with Suigetsu to finally land a hit on the Eight-Tails. Suigetsu must really trust Sasuke to allow him to electrocute him along with the Jinchuuriki even though he’s really weak against lightning based attacks. Jugo tries to clobber the Jinchuuriki, but again, he’s too slow. The Eight-Tails not having fun anymore and decides to go sneak off and get drunk. But Karin’s chakra radar tracks him down immediately. Sasuke charges in to attack, but the Eight-Tails is ready to pull out his next weapon: Number Eight… also known as WHEEEEEEEE!!!!! Based on the devil sign he’s making with his left hand, it looks like the Eight-Tails doesn’t want to be a rapper anymore, and has decided to go heavy metal. That, or he’s been playing too much Guitar Hero in that dark cave if his.
In other news, Naruto gets beaten ‘til he’s blue by Yoda and his club. Good thing there’s no child abuse laws in the Naruverse. Really, I don’t have much to say about that little segment, better to have leave Naruto’s part out until Sasuke finishes his fight if you ask me.

This chapter had a few surprises but it seemed dull. I was surprised that Sasuke was injured. I wish that Kishi would focus on the fight and not show clips of Naruto’s training. If he is going to show clips do a whole chapter. Now that Team Hawk learned that there is no I in Team, they look have decent as a unit. As for the Mc Squid, watch out Sasuke, he is gone get heavy on you and start wailing out some Black Sabbath for you while he clobbers u

Esprit de corps is what I want to see from Team Bird, and they were able to show just a bit of this in chapter 412.
I think that Sasuke wants to see how far he can go without having to resort to the powers of his eyes. In the process, he is also measuring the strength of his opponent, the jinchuuriki in its normal state. And with Karin on his side, Sasuke isn’t a bit flustered by the idea of death. He’s still waiting for the 8tj to assume his bijuu state before activating his trump card – his MS.
Sasuke and Karin- the emo and the masochist. That scene where Sasuke took a bite out of Karin’s arm still grosses me out. I can’t wait to see this in the anime for the sole reason of hearing that “aaaaaaahhhhh†sound. lol

Not really surprised about this chapter, maybe Suigetsu has been acting a litttle trusting towards to Sasuke…
Karin has proved herself as a good member of the team… she’s not as powerful as Sakura…but her abilities make me think she’s more useful to a team than Sakura would be… even though that’s a disadvantage on a 1 on 1 fight…
i wonder if the “Scarrs” on the arm are bite marks …or chakra “pipes” ;P …like veins… under the surface of the skin, but just like blood veins, clear to the human eye…

It’s weird that the Eight Tails uses electric based attacks, considering it’s a molusk of some type. Perhaps it uses several elements, like other Jinchuuriki.
Sigh… In one arc, you have Sasuke getting super strong and testing the limits to the point where he impresses and ‘kills’ Itachi (i use that loosely). On top of that we see him gain new MS powers along w/ a ridiculous atomic eye. Shortly after we see him waltzing into a fight as if a bad-ass… then he gets his ass handed to him… bad.
Why? WHY?! this just troubles me. What do you have up your sleeves Kishi>?
I dunno … I like seeing Sasuke getting pwnd just as much as the next guy … but come on now, seriously?! I think Sasuke is testing out his team. Trying to see if they have each others backs and can work together and what not. Still, I’m sure there are other ways to do so WITHOUT being turned into a pincushion.
I still say my two favorite parts is …
1) MC Squid’s sword cutting through Zabuza’s. Total bad ass.
2) Naruto jumping in the frog oil pool. Total dumb ass.

In a other blog I already says that to me, sasuke seems weaker than before, without the snake jutsus, rebirth jutsu and the cursed seal.
That or the 8th is really stronger than Itachi, maybe sasuke does already use genjutsu but it dont work on the 8th.
Sasuke fought alone against Itachi and now he needs a team to beat him.
I like that kishi switch beetween Narutos training and sasukes fight. Some fights and some training I like the mix. I know a lot of people hate it, but last chapter was only the fight and it seems very short to me.
It was a risk to jump into the frog oil, but Naruto knows that he have not much time.
And only to get the nature Chakra is not the solution, he must learn know Jutsu and balance it with his spiritual and physical chakra.
Its a long way and Pain is so near.
Tsunade can buy time and the price is her live.
But after this, who can stop pain. Only Naruto
I mean new Jutsu and not know Jutsu
Some people think that sasuke hold back his real potential.
But I think that in the physical section sasuke already reach his limits, his speed and his sword technique dont work on the 8th.
He must beat him up with Jutsus and his Sharigan/Amaratasu and without Karin sasuke would be loos this fight.

i think that sasuke is just reding his moves and fighting style, thats why he has his sharingan on to critique his movements.

Karin arm made me feel sick.
(1°) Sasuke is not using his full capacity; he is getting injured (in order to learn from the jinchuriki and capture him alive) ONLY BECAUSE he can heal by sucking Karin’s energy. It’s ABUSE, a REPULSIVE behavior.
(2°) Karin’s scream, the expression “shit†i, and her love for Sasuke made me think on a sadistic relation as some said. REVOLTING!!
(3°) Sasuke have been sucking her energy too much (considering the number of bites marks): This is weird taking into account that Sasuke now posses the MS, and prior that he had Oroshimaru’s healing powers.
Therefore, why too many marks?
I am happy to confirm that Karin is strong somehow. As I said before Kishi’s stronger Kunoishi are a bit mad (Tsunade and Sakura) (exception Temari). So, super mad Karin must have more powers. But apparently she is of no use in fight. Suigetsu called for “the 3 of us†to attack, not the 4.
Also is interesting to remark that Kishi is following again the lines of mythology about Oroshi no Yamata. This monster’s weakness included somehow sake and woman, so Karin’s role here and the 8Tailed’s desire for whisky are more or less in the line of the myth. I wonder if Taka must wait to see this guy drunk before they get him.

Zabuza’s sword is half broken.
Also the 8 tailed lost one sword.
Suijutsu will need a new one. Will he get Kusanagi, Samehada ?

Jesus SU you comment ALOT, Im too lazy to read them so ill pick up one point, Suigetsu does need a new sword…Im thinking he could get the 8 tails 8th sword, coz that seems to be his last weapon, an if Suigetsu survives the fight it would make sense, but i would love to see him get samehada….
I am happy that the Jinchuuriki is kicking their ass but now I want to see some more action on Sasuke and his team part! I don’t think Karin has suer strength like everyone thought because she would be fighting so i think Sakura would totally kick her ass! The other thing I noticed was that Sasuke was actually talking to Karin like a friend I hope they don’t get together he should be with Sakura! Juugo is doing great in my opinion I want to see why everyone was so afraid of him and why the Akatsuki know about him he has to be super strong! and Suigetsu is a little annoying but he seems to be alittle helpful so now i and supprting their team go Team Hawk! I hope Sasuke stop playing around like Suigetsu saya so we can see how strong he has become since he gained Mangekyou Sharingan! So Sasuke!
The other thing is i want to say is that i hope Naruto is not just going to be learning the sage chakra I hope he learn a lot of jutsu because I know its his favorite but i am tired of the shadow clone jutsu being destroyed! Learn some wind, water, and fire jutsus please! I think this may be the longest week in training history! This training may go on for months, in a way i hopes it’s like the time chamber on DBZ! The other thing I want to say is i think Sasuke is happier outside the village because he has never been this talkative and in the village he was always quiet, I think he is better off as a missing ninja! I can’t see Sasuke following Naruto’s orders when he becomes Hokage! Oh yeah I think Sakura and Kakashi needs to improve because they are falling behind especially Kakashi he should be ten times more powerful than Sasuke!

Ok, i decided laziness sucks and read the whole thing, I always had my suspicions that Karin was strong, she had to be to be in Sasukes team….I mean, Jugo seems to be the weakest link, he has power…but he is really slow, I mean a strong defense is good bu for high leveled opponents he seems quite useless….and Sasuke needs to stop sucking Karin

9 Tail. The bites marks looks like made for only one person. Sasuke. What i dont get is why so many.
I meant One bite was enough to heal the trace of 6 blades that pierced Sasuke’s body. 3 or 4 more bites can be explained as the process of healing of the aftereffects of ItachiVsSasuke battle. But what about the other marks.

I thought Suigetsu’s sword wasnt broken, but was cut halfway through. if you look at the frames, it seems that sasuke is charging Suigetsu’s sword with his chakra, to make it just that bit stronger, it then breaks the 8tj’s blade. Take another look at page 3 and 4, tell us what you think.
A sword cut in half though is seriously weakened, itll snap in a hard collision now and you cant fix that kinda thing mabusaatm and anyway welcome! The chakra have made it keep together in that collision…but it wont last 5 minutes now
In my eyes all of the three members of team hawk are weak(not sasuke). They´re all Akatsuki members but no match for Itachi, Kisame or Deidara. Chunin like Lee or Sakura can handle one of these Akatsuki members alone.

It seems he will be use his 8th sword. I think the 8th is a pure energy sword like the lightning sword from Darth Vader or he sommuning it like the 3rd Hokage summon Enma.
You never see suigetsu’s sword broken, only the 8tj.
And so I do not think it was broken.
Also some of those blades from the seven swordsman of the mist had weird powers, this blade could simply ‘heal’ itself, although i think that is unlikely.
maybe the 8th is a sword just like Kuwabara in YuYu Hakusho a spirt sword like chakra
hey, saskue isn’t holding back, he used more chakra than he expected brainwashing the thugs and now can’t us the MS. he’ll still win though.
about Sasuke getting hit… I’m going to through my hat into the ring of ideas that he was relying on his sharingan working but it failed to work and that’s why he got hit. It’s clear that he turned it on after his close call in order to get the upper hand but that didn’t seem to work because of the 8 tails glasses… err something.
And also Sasuke said something about learning information and stuff so maybe that is true about him not trying that hard… but I kinda doubt it. I don’t think the 8 tails is slowly escalating the fight because I think he realizes what Akatsuki is and that’s why he went all out with his swords against Sasuke.
I think the interesting thing to note about the Naruto Frog conversation is that Jiraiya had a large amount of Chakra… and I started wondering why? He’s a big guy but still… is there something specially about the sannin that kishimoto hasn’t revealed to us yet? or is there some sort of genetic relationship between jiraiya and naruto? eh?

I think Sasuke is holding back because the team needs the guy alive. Again its harder to keep them alive when a lot of Sasukes powers seem to be fatal powers.

well in my opinion Sasuke is holding back, he is monitoring the 8tailed guys move and strengths then he Sasuke will show his tru abilities as soon as the 8tail guy forms completely into 8tail beast.
And also i think Zetsu is somwhere recording this whole shit, it wont be surprising not see zetsu and madara involve in this coz Sasuke’s first mission as part of Akatsuki and the 8tail is very important for them to have it alive and not to be killed else their whole plan will be destroyed

It is interesting that Sasuke went into this fight so nonchalantly. I mean the only other experience he has of a tailed demon is Naruto’s Kyuubi and in order to defeat him he needed to completely unlock the cursed seal and that was to only defeat the kyuubi in 1-tail form. I think he was just over confident, I mean that’s one thing the series shows us about sasuke he is too confident in his own abilities!
And Sasuke hasnt really won a hard match anyway … i mean he beat orochimaru because he was nearly dead, itachi held back (bless his heart
) and naruto was emotionaly crippled but sasuke’s actions

Thats true KazeKage, he is very over confident in his abilities, like he thinks he defeated Orchi, Itachi and Naruto he can take the 8tail guy easily, but he doesnt think that those he defeated never wanted to hurt Sasuke, like orchi wanted to hve him coz of his body, Naruto wanted to bring him back not to kill him and Itachi was just playing a game and he wanted to die by his hand. Man itachi should’ve said to him u still hve loooooooooong way to be at his lvl xD

We see this alot in the military. Certain individuals realize that there is no I in Team but there is an M and an E which together spells Me.
I wasn’t expecting the loss of Zabuza’s sword but Kishi likes to surprise us. Sasuke is emo, but not a cutter… he’s a biter. Strange. More to follow… maybe…
I think its naruto’s fault that Sasuke is getting owned. I mean think about it… the last time he saw a tailed beast was when he suppressed the kyuubi in Naruto and ol’ Kyuubi even told him his chakra was more sinister than uchiha madara talk about sucking sasuke’s …. now sasuke probably went into this battle thinking well if the 9-tails knows I’ll own him… I must be the 8-tails’ father!
At the rate rate at which sasuke is “allowed” to defeat all opponents including 8 tail ones, he will soon be a GOD. I believe it is SAD that we don’t see more credible and worthwhile opponents that will really test sasuke’s abilities.
Enough of Sasuke and his story already.Kishi is being Kishi again.
And man he gave Sasuke another super crazy ability.He can bring girls to orgazm just by bitting them

It always the same, Kishi give Naruto so much power with the kyuubi and than he takes away because Naruto can`t control it and Naruto learn Rasegan Shurikan but it hurts him. At least he begins to learn senjutsu.
The same at Sasuke, first he gave him the abilitys of orochi and than he change it with the MS.
I think it needs 150 chapters since Naruto can handle the kyuubi, master senjutsu, use the gift from Itachi, can use two elementals and maybe learn the bodyflicker jutsu from his father. I guess its a key jutsu to beat madara with his time/space jutsu.
The next step for sasuke to get stronger is to seal the 8th in him.
Avatar_Sean16: I too thought about the connection betweeen the senju clan and senjutsu and commented on it in another blog, u probably read it, I think the onnection is deeper though because all five elements are natural elements, As for the ring thing, that’s where team taka come in to replace the lost members. And the bite marks are obviously from Orochimaru’s experiments I mean sasuke formed team taka from attributes he knew of theirs from his time with orochimaru so he obviously saw the healing chakra long before ever having to use it, this time was probably his first.
And I agree with you UltimateHokage, but at least in the case of Sasuke he gets a major upgrade each time. I mean he loses orochimaru’s power but gains Itachi’s ameratasu as well as the most intricate MS and isn’t the detail of an MS indicative of its strength? But with Naruto he keeps getting worse. I mean in Part 1, he did a lot more, simmoning, using multiple rasengans, using Kage bushin for combo attacks, all of which we don’t see now, he seems to have degraded. I’m really getting annoyed by the development of his character, its time for Kishi to step up and make him cool!
now here’s a theory for you: ‘Madara’ is not Uchiha Madara at all, but Uchiha Obito, yes the theoryhas been thrown out therre before: 1. he covers his left eye (because it doesn’t exist since he gave it to Kakashi), 2. his hair cut it more like Obito’s short spiky look than Madara’s long hair, but 3. the coup de gras, his jutsu thats causing such a fuss. This is my theory, that jutsu is a space-time jutsu which in essence can teleport a part of his body to another area in order to in essence avoid attack without having to more. Does this remind anyone of the ability of Kakashi’s MS which can decapitate you be teleporting an area of your arm (for example) a la Diedara, into anothert dimension causing the other part to just break off. Obito probably had deep emo-isssues like pein after getting crushed by the Rock Ninja and coupled with the fact that he was always the weakling both in his squad and in Uchiha and what not, he turned bad ass!
Well.. In my Point Of View… if Zetsu Was Watching Would Karin find Out His Chakra Signature? And That Is If She Can or Would Notice Another Chakra Signature In the Area.. So We cannot Assure that Zetsu Is Watching…
kazekage.. That is bothering That we Couldnt get To see The whole face Of tobi.. and I dont Know.. kishimoto Stated there In Chapter 397 in the bottom that he is madara uchiha.. So is Kishi all Tricking us.. Or i dunno maybe ur just not content with Tobi saying that he is madara… becuz he’s not showing his face and the long hair stuff is not there.. i just dont know..

And yep I think so that those marks on karin’s arms? well those are from other bites not just sasuke’s,, she is a prisoner and a test subject of orochimaru right?…
And If The next Chapter Doesnt show Sasuke Getting Pumped Up and Showing How He REALLY kicks a**S.. Well imma Go and say he’s gay..

This chapter went better than I expected, but as everyone else stated… why not use the MS?
Sasuke has just fought an extremely tiring battle, and hasn’t necessarily had time to recover from it.
Karin = worthless. So she has the same power as everyone on bleach to feel reitsu… and you can “taste her” to heal yourself… she’s still s.o.l. in a one on one fight. Neji/Hinata would render her useless in no time. Going forward, I hope this fight ends in somewhat of a draw. Kishi has made it too easy for Akatsuki to gather the tailed beasts.
If you think about it, its not that she is useless at all, Team Snake was created with the purpose of helping Sasuke find Itachi so its not like he needed a team of ass-bringers. He knew how powerful itachi was so he needed a way to be able to fight should the regenerating fail (and it chows a lot of chakra anyway) so Team Taka now is made up of people who will help HIM kick-ass!
But seriously though, Naruto needs to focus on Naruto… and if not then on Konoha at least so we can see Pein bring on the pain! Sasuke is cool and all but Kishi’s obsession with him is getting a bit much now.
I agreed with you kazekage, Karin is in my eyes the most important part after Sasuke, because Sasuke have more manpower than Suigetsu or Jugo.
But he cant heal himself or locate another person.
In my opinion, its not so a problem that kishi gave sasuke so much time, but I hate that he let Naruto be so weak.
I mean Sasuke, Madara, Pain, Tsunade, Jiraya(if he live), Gaara and the the 8th are stronger than Naruto.

kazekage-dono i agree tobi is oboito and i got 2 more resons to add to your three
1 madara has permanant MS so he can’t have the sharingon we seen
2 tobi most likly copied the 4th’s jutsu in his head like sasuke did with lee’s jutsu remember after all they were student and teacher
so it’s the forth’s jutsu perfeted not a space/time and madara can’t accsess the regular shingan and maybe madara did die in the vally of the end and tobi is using his name and lies to intemadate and madipulate everyone. So hows that theory everyone.

Would any one else like to see the 8 tail beat the stuffing out of sasuke and his team, killing one or two and really putting up a very good fight before being defeated – like I do? Or would it be preferable for the 8 tail to fall down and worship sasuke and his teams before being killed ? which is the direction this story is heading?
