Since the beginning of the war, many missions were given to the shinobi of Konoha. Team 8’s mission, leaded by Naruto, at the beginning of the war is a prime example. Another fine example could be the mission given to Shikamaru, were he assembled Ino, Choji, Takigi, and Konohamaru, whom was disguises as a Shinobi by the name of Kei. These missions were all very hard, being no less than A Rank. Many Shinobi were injured, if not killed, in most of these mission. One team in particular lost a member, do to him being in coma.
Kakashi, placed with many missions on his desk, called for his best friend Gai. He had a mission for his team. Moments later, Gai arrived, ready for anything. He was instructed on his mission, and went off to get his team together. “I really hate to give him ‘this’ mission, but there’s no one else.” - Kakashi thought to himself.
First, and easiest, person Gai got was Rock Lee. He found him in his usual area, the Training Field. When he found him, Lee was covered in sweat. He had been training for five days straight. At first, Gai thought maybe Lee isn’t prepared to be in ‘this’ kind of mission. But Lee insisted, and together went on to look for Tenten and Neji.
The two found Tenten in the Forest practicing her marksmanship. She was told of the mission, and to meet at the entrance as soon as she’s ready. “Don’t take long, we don’t have much time.” Gai addressed to Tenten. With that said, Gai sped off to find Neji. He went to the Hyuga household to look for him, but he wasn’t there. “Man, I need an experienced byakugan user for this mission.” Gai thought. “What about Hinata, is she here?” “No she is currently on a mission, with Kiba, Shino, and that Naruto boy.” Hiashi replied. Gai quickly wrote down a message for Neji, and asked Hiashi if he could please give it to him as soon as he arrived. “It’s very important.” Gai pleaded. Hiashi agreed, and Gai went to meet the rest of his team.
As Gai arrives at the entrance, he sees Lee and Tenten waiting for him. “Where’s Neji?” - Tenten. “He’ll catch up later, now let’s go.” “What’s the hurry, you haven’t explained the mission yet!” Lee as he follows his sensei. “I’ll explain on the way.” With that the team takes off, as Tenten looks behind to see a trace of Neji. But to no avail, Neji was no where to be seen.

Hours after the departure of Team Gai, Neji finally arrives at the Hyuga Household, with Hanabi by his side. “That was some intence training Neji-kun.” said Hanabi. “If you want to be as strongas you said, you gave to train harder.” answered Neji. “Neji! Come here!” Hiashi exclaimed. “Yes. What’s the matter?”-Neji. “Gai came here earlier to see you. Something regarding a mission of some sort.” Hiashi gives Neji the scroll and walks away. “What it is about Neji-kun?” asked Hanabi witha concerned look in her face. “I don’t know. Let’s find out.”-Neji. As Neji read the scroll, his face started changing by each sentence he finished reading. “Gai you idiot!!!” bursted Neji. “What! What’s wrong?!” asked Hanabi confused. “I have to go! Ask Hiashi if he can train you tomorrow! I might not be able to.” With that Neji stormed out of the Hyuga House to aid his comrades.
“How could he go to enemy territory with just Lee and Tenten, without being able to see the terrain? What could be so important that he couldn’t wait for me?” Will running along the rooftops of Konoha, towards the entrance gates, Neji passed Naruto and his team without notice. “Hey Ne-” Naruto was interrupted by Neji’s swiftness. “WHAT THE HELL!! YOU ALMOST RIPPED MY HAND OFF YOU BASTARD!!!” Naruto so openly expressed himself. “Calm down, why don’t ya!” declaired Kiba. “Wonder where he’s going so fast?” asked Shino, as Hinata looked on with concern wondering that herself. “Neji-kun?”-Hinata.

Already deep inside the the Mountain Country, Team Gai where getting ready to do what they were sent there to do. But Tenten could not stop thinking about Neji, not only because of her feelings towards him, but because he is so crusual to the success of the mission. “Will set up camp here, and hope Neji catches up.”-Gai. “What if he doesn’t.”-Lee. “Then we have no choice, but to go without him.”-Gai. This decision confused Tenten. “Don’t we need his Byakugan, for this mission to succeed? Shouldn’t we just wait?” Gai looked at Tenten and answered with, “Yes, Neji’s Byakugan can really help us out. But we have no time to waste. The enemy is will not wait, so neither can we.” “Understood”-Tenten. “Don’t worry Tenten, we’ll be Ok. Even without Neji, we can succeed in the mission. It’s just going to take a little longer than expected.”-Lee. Tenten smiled, but she still couldn’t shake the bad feeling she had.
And she had good reason. Turns out that the team was spoted a few minutes ago, and they’ve been trailed to where they are now. The enemy is only waiting for the right time to strike. “Let’s just wait to see what they’re here for. Then we can have some fun with them.”-Rock Shinobi 1, “I want to play with the Kunoichi, I can really have some fun with her.”-Rock Shinobi 2. “Your sick, but if that’s who you want, then I take the boy.” Rock Kunoichi. “Why make it a fair fight, we are at war after all.”-Rock Shinobi 1. “What you mean?”-Rock Shinobi 2. “Call the rest of the guys. We’re going to show these punks just how stronger rocks are than leaf.” With that the two other shinobi take off to get their buddies. “This is going to be fun.” said the Rock Shinobi with a smirk on his face.

well, pertty gewd mission start so far… a exhausted (or not) Lee, a missing Neji, and a over trained TenTen… i think Tenten and Gai are the most fit out of the 3… but with Lee’s Drunken fighting and maybe if Neji makes his appearance sooner or later… they will win… the Rock shinobis seem to confident… maybe they have something up their sleaves…heck… idk…

Can I forecast what is gona happen :
I expect great fight,where Lee is going to be forced to open all 8 gates. With that he will save Ten-Ten,Gai and Neji but for what price.He will fall in coma for a months.When he finally wake up everyone will be happy and Neji will finally acknowledge that Lee isn’t a failure anymore but that he is a true shinobi. That would be nice end….I’m crying while I’m typing this.

It’s times like that I wish I had internet at home. I’m usually only online at work. Sometimes, I’m able to bum off a connection at home from someone around me, but not always. So I’m not always on the shoutbox, but you’ll find me on there every now and then.

Neji is my second favorite character; love this… Lol he is training Hanabi, I wonder if she or Hinata will follow Neji to help him in his desperate attempt to save his comrades.
Neji is awesome as a person and fighter I wish Kishi give him more screem time as you did.
This is one off my favorites of your series. I love every detail. Neji, Tenten, Naruto, Kiba, every reaction was perfect.
