As the smoke cleared away from ‘Kei’, Shikamaru started his questioning. “So why did you conceal your identity from us? And more importantly, how did you find out about the mission?” Shikamaru got his answer, but not from the person he asked them to. “It was me” – Takigi. “As soon as I found out about the mission, I went to tell” “That’s when I went to Kakashi disguised as Kei, and asked to be assigned to this mission. I knew that if I went as myself, he would of declined me.” “I see.” – Shikamaru. “Yo, Shikamaru! How did you know who he really was?” – Choji interrupted. Shikamaru smiled and gave his answer.

“At first I didn’t, until I noticed certain things about him. First I noticed that he was very protective of Takigi, back when we fought the shinobi in the Nara Forest.” Takigi looks down in disappointment. “Then there were the jutsus he used. And the way Takigi addressed his as ‘Kei-sama’.” “Once I narrowed it down, it was easy.” “I do have to give you credit though, Konohamaru.” “At first I thought you were Kurenai, but then I realized two things.” “Yeah, and what are those two things?” – Konohamaru. “One, Advisors aren’t allowed to take part in missions, do to security reasons.” “And two, Takigi has never referred to his mother with the honorific -sama, but he has called you Konohamaru-sama in many occasion.”

“Not to change the subject, or anything, but we’re losing precious time here.” – Choji. “Right, we can discuss this matter as we go.” – Ino. “There’s nothing more to discuss” – Shikamaru. The team kept on their misson, but Takigi still had some question, that he wanted answered. “Can I ask you something, Konohamaru-sama?” – Takigi. “Yeah, go ahead.” answered Konohamaru. “Why is this mission so important to you?” “What do you mean?” – Konohamaru. “I mean, I know you asked me to tell you about any mission that had to do with the Nara Forest, but why is it so important? ” “Well, the thing is-” “I said there is nothing more to discuss.” Shikamaru interupted.

Enemy camp:

As the Shika Team closed in on the enemy, Kyozoku and his gang were making preparations. “Alright, according to the intel Hidan has given me, these brats aren’t going to go down without a fight, so if we just stick to the plan we should be fine.” – Kyozoku. “Kyozoku-sama, everything is ready, as you instructed” – Hito. “Good, now take your place.” – Kyozoku. “Why do we have to wait here, instead of taking the fight to them?” – Hidan. “Shut your trap and keep praying to your ’so called god’.” – Kyokozu. “WHAT DID YOU SAY?!?! I’ll kill you-” Hidan was silenced with a swift kick to his gut. “I said Shut It. Or do you want to give us away? Besides if we wait we get home field advantage. SO SHUT THE HELL UP!!!” “Look who’s talking.” thought Sankozu.

At that moment Hizoku arrives from his surbeillance. “What info do you have for me Hizoku?” – Kyozoku. “The enemy will be here at minutes time Kyozoku-sama.” – Hizoku. “Excellent, now we wait. Once we get rid of these pest, we can continue with the rest of our ‘assignments’.” Kyozoku said with a wicked smile in his face. “Get your ass up Hidan, it’s almost go time. So get ready.” “I’ve been ready for years to get my revenge.”

Team Shika:

“Stop right here.” – Shikamaru. “What’s wrong? Why are we stopping?” – Choji. “What’s the matter Shikamaru?” – Ino. “Yeah, why the sudden stop, the enemy base is so close? WHY DON’T WE GO FOR IT?” – Konohamaru. “Because we will die if we do.” – Shikamaru. “NANI?!” – rest of team.

“What do you mean, Shikamaru-sensei?” – Takigi. “The enemy has been following our every move, they know we are here, and their prepared to attack us.” – Shikamaru. “So what your saying is, we lost the element of surprise.” – Choji. “Correct. And not only that, we don’t know the enemy’s numbers, for all we know we could be fighting hundreds of them.” – Shikamaru. “So, now what?” – Konohamaru. “We need to come up with a plan of action.” – Shikamaru.

“Don’t worry about the enemy, I got that in the bag.” – Konohamaru. “Jeesh. A little modest aren’t we?” – Ino. “Yeah, what makes you so confident?” – Choji. “A Shinobi is as strong as the teachings of their Sensei.” – Konohamaru. “Nani? What do you mean by that?” – Takigi. Takigi was answered with a smile and a very familiar hand sign. “KAGE BUSHIN NO JUTSU” – Konohamaru. “What -, You think -, Naruto only -, taught me -, the sexy stuff?” – many Konohamaru clones. The rest of the team were suprised at how far Konohamau has come as a Shinobi. “This could be interesting.” – Shikamaru. “Alright, here’s the plan.”

Enemy Camp:

“What’s taking them so long?” – Hidan. “Be patient, don’t rush anything.” – Kyozoku. “Just stick to the plan.” “Sir, someone’s coming.” – Hito. “Is that them Hizoku?” – Sanzoku. “Yeah, looks like them.” – Hizoku. “Finally, the moment I’ve been waiting for years.” Hidan thought to himself.

And so the battle begins.

As soon as Team Shika entered the premises a series of traps were activated. The first trap had the ground behind them crumble. The second had explosive tags blow up all around them, followed by the third and final trap which consisted of smoke covering the whole area.

“Is everyone alright?” – Konohamaru. “Yeah” – Ino. “I’m good.” – Choji. “Yeah, fortunately there traps sucked. They didn’t even hit us.” – Takigi. “I don’t think they were supposed to hit?” – Shikamaru. “Nani?” – Takigi. “What do you mean?” – Konohamaru. “Think about it, Hidan obviously told them of our abilities.” “I don’t get it.” – Takigi. “Ino can’t use her abilities if she can’t see the enemy. Same goes for Choji’s attacks, he needs to know where he’s going. As for myself, thank to this fog, there’s no shadow.” “Damn them.” – Choji.

Suddenly the team noticed dark flashes all around them. The enemy has surrounded them, and began their attack. Takigi was the first victim, with a kick to his face. “Damn, this fog, I can’t see a thing.” – Takigi. “They might know your abilities, but they made the mistake of underestimating Takigi and me. Fuuton: Clear Sky Disperse” – Konohamaru.

Konohamaru’s jutsu cleared the smoke, and revealed the placement of the enemy. Takigi’s suddenly attacked Hito with a kick of his own, as soon as Konohamaru’s jutsu finished. “Bastard, I’ll show you.” – Hito. “Looks like I have my sparring partner.” – Takigi.

Suddenly Hizoku tried to get Ino off guard, but her beloved husband blocked the attack with a punch to Hizoku’s face. “You ok butterfly?” – Choji. He was answered with a boulder to his face. “She’s the least of your worries.” – Sanzoku. “Piglett?!” Ino screamed out. “Ha ha ha, Piglett? I think Hogboy is a more suited name for this turd.”-Sanzoku.

“Choji, Ino!”-Shikamaru. “They’ll be fine. We have bigger problems.”-Konohamaru. In front of them stood the two twin brothers. “Long time pony-tails.”, said one of them. “Long time indeed.”, said the other. “Shit, two Hidans, could it be a Kage Bushin-”, Shikamaru was interrupted by Konohamaru. “No, there’s no bushin. They’re two completely different persons.” “What make you so sure?” “When you train with the Kage Bushin King (Naruto), you pick these things up.”

“Besides, look at them carefully. One’s hair is slightly darker than the other, and has winkles under his eyes.” “True, can’t believe I missed that.”

“Enough talk! Let’s end this!!”, Hidan expressed as he lunged towards Shikamaru. “Idiot, never knows when to wait for the right opportunity”-Kyozoku. “Shikamaru, watch out!!”-Konohamaru. “Like right now”, said Kyozuko as he gave Konohamaru a swift kick to his chest.

“You have no idea how long I’ve waited for this moment?”-Hidan. “Well, being the one that who placed you in that situation, I think I do”-Shikamaru. “Shut up you BASTARD!!!”-Hidan. “Well, I guess I’m left with you as my punching bag.”, Kyozoku addressed to Konohamaru. “Yeah, guess so.”
