Naruto Manga Chapter 409 – Senjutsu: it’s like Viagra for old toads

Well, looks like it’s the start of another training session for Naruto. But I think this Senjutsu stuff will definitely make him much stronger. In Naruto’s previous training periods with Yamato and Kakashi, he obtained a powerful new jutsu: the Rasen Shuriken. Sure it was cool and all, but that jutsu had major draw backs as well – making it pretty useless in battle unless Naruto closed in with his opponent quickly. But I can see the new Senjutsu training complementing Naruto’s Rasen Shuriken jutsu quite well. As Fukasaku demonstrated, Senjutsu draws chakra from nature itself to augment a ninja’s physical abilities. It will help increase Naruto’s strength, but more importantly, increase his speed. Naruto is by nature a close to mid-range brawler-type fighter. This means he is very weak against speedy and agile opponents such as Sasuke. Learning Senjutsu will definitely bring Naruto several notches closer to Sasuke’s current level. After this training, all he needs is to become as intelligent as Shikamaru to become the ultimate shinobi. But I think that latter one will take a miracle to happen ;p
As Fukasaku explained, Senjutsu (AKA Hermit Arts, AKA Sage Arts) combines the internal chakra one gathers from the body and combines it with natural chakra which is absorbed from mother nature. Now for the Dragon Ball Z fans out there, does this ring any bells? Spirit Bomb anyone? This is not surprising of course, seeing how Kishimoto himself has admitted in the past how much of an immense impact Akira Toriyama’s work has had on him. If Naruto was able to harness the power of Senjutsu, he might not need to rely so much on the destructive chakra of Kyuubi anymore. But I can’t help but wonder what happens when you combine the evil chakra of Kyuubi with the good chakra from mother nature?
Something else interesting I observed in this chapter was Minato Namikaze’s name on the scroll Fukasaku showed Naruto. How fitting that his name be between his son and his former teacher, Jiraiya. I think most people already knew or had the feeling that Minato could use Senjutsu or some type of “toad†jutsu. He was Jiraiya’s student of course, and he was also riding Gamabunta when he sealed Kyuubi (very first episode). But this finally confirms that theory. Looks like Naruto is truly following in his father’s footsteps, whether he knows it or not.
The other jutsu in this chapter which had me thinking was the “reverse summoning.†This seems like the perfect method to travel long distances instantly. But I’m guessing there must also be some restrictions on it – perhaps it is only possible for people who have signed contracts with the toads. I was also thinking about Minato’s instant transport technique – he has, after all, also signed the toads’ contract. Could it be that Minato’s jutsu was a form of the reverse summoning technique? All he could have been doing was summoning himself to a different location, and those markers he used were basically summoning symbols that targeted himself. Food for thought I guess.
Lastly, the various other little bits in this chapter that are worth mentioning:
- Fukasaku reminds me of Yoda
- it’s gonna be very rainy in Konoha very soon
- MMMmmm! Nothing like a bowl of Ma Toad’s home cooking to recharge your chakra!
- black Jinchuuriki guy has one smooth attitude, I think he’ll give Sasuke a run for his money. And is it me, or do I count only seven swords on his back? That eighth sword better not be an euphemism (Bob used a big word 
) for something else, hahaha.
I hope you guys like the post’s title, it was really a last minute thing. I’m too sleepy at the moment to tell if it’s funny or not, LOL….ZZZzzzzz…..

o well great post as always bob, i really liked this chapter even though not much happened. just the thought that naruto might get as strong as we all hoped he would soon is great in its own. But he has to die!? the only problem i see there is how is the nine tails gonna like diein prob none too much. so i think we’ll be hearin from him very soon.

I liked the chapter, but I was hoping to see a little bit more. Oh well.
One thing though about Naruto’s “Spirit Bomb” … There’s an instance in DBZ where Goku is battling some andriods in the arctic (forget which movie it was) and he’s attempting a Spirit Bomb. Somehow through the gathering of energy, he turns Super Saiya-jin and absorbs the Spirit Bomb in himself, making him a kind of hyped up SSJ. Maybe if Naruto oes the same, he’d be crazy powerful for a brief moment.

I think that the “reverse summoning” technique needs the already summoned toad to be in the place you want to be… also think it’s dependent on the toad…only the toad can take you there…so not really all that useful, unless the toad is where you want it to be… i think that Minato’s Yellow Flash technique doesn’t have it’s roots in this…yeah…
… i have to say…even though it reminds me of DBZ, it can’t be helped… i like the Natural Energy… as i said in the previous 409 post… the humongous chakra that Naruto already has + Kyuubi chakra + Natural chakra… well… just… wow… Naruto will have almost infinite reserves of chakra… i like this idea though..
..hopefully Sasuke doesn’t unlock Rokudou-Sennin’s knowledge of ninjutsu and becomes uber-unstoppable…

good job, bob. i like your bit about fukasaku reminding you of yoda. cos i have the same thought when i saw him lift that humongous statue, lol. im still curious bout the eyes of the hachibi’s jinchuuriki. anyway, it seems that sasuke has finally met someone who is a match (?) to his cockiness.
I have been feeling more and more disappointed with the new chapters. I don’t know about DBZ but so many things remind me Star Wars, Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings. Ok with that. BUTTTT Kishi is copying from his own work now. That is a shame:
- Naruto must die. Same than Sasuke and his second level cursed seal.
- Itachi illness and death was almost the same as Kimmimaru
- I hope that this Sengutsu will add something insteresting. But Naruto need tactics, emotional control, and speed (the 3) far more than a new battery. Also this nature energy is just a more complex version of Sasuke Kirin jutsu.
Bob-sama, right las week I read 8 swords, and also 4 blades of 8 sharps or something. But now translations and manga show 7 blades.
Well for now I more interested in Konan, Suijetsu, Pein and Madara than Naruto. Lol training again, I just want to see the results-

Chaos i’m habing a blank moment who is Rokudou-Sennin!?!?! but ths chapter did rock, i like the fact that naruto will have like the most chakra ever even more than kisame…strength of tsunade and sakura, and intelligence of well jiraya! but yeah it’s about to get rainy, i hope they don’t do like DBZ and Naruto has to bail on his training early to stop Pein…that would suck! haha

I wasn’t the only one that thinks Pa reminds mne of Yoda. . This Sage arts I believe will cause NAruto to more relaxxed. A person needs to be zen like to pull chakra from from the livimg world. When Naruto becomes Zen like I believe he will have complete controll the Kyuubi. Only gamakichi can put Pa’s explanation of the sage arts in food words that only Naruto can understand. Hopefully we don’t see all the the training. I want to see Naruto when he is done the training and how pwerful he has become.
I look forward to Sasuke battling Dr. Ocotopus.

Naruto wont train in just one aspect, like GH said he’s gunna learn new jutsu this way, he’s going to learn chakra control which is surely the key to speed and power. And intelligence? No chance!
Wicked chapter. Firstly, Thanx for telling us about minato’s name on the scroll, it was kinda obvious, but now we know for sure. Wow gamakichi has grown, wonder where gamabunta is tho and he and naruto seem to have a special bond that’ll probably come into play in the series. So far i’m not impressed with the sage arts, i mean giving naruto more power, he is already powerful in chakra terms and if it is a way to take kyuubi ou of the equation that sucks as kyuubi is a very important narutoverse character and minato only put it in naruto to help him be stronger. Anyway i think fukasaku would be better off just teaching him new jutsus and more kyuubi control. Maybe its kishi’s way of combating the fact that sasuke can suppress kyuubi’s chakra.
Oh and can kishi please not give us a star wars dbz thing with naruto not completing his training in order to help defend konoha. I really want him to just be awesome, even at the expense of tsunade and sakura (she’s now on my list of expendable characters). Oh and i agree with chaos, reverse summoning is just when a summon summons a summoner. Lastly, what naruto needs is new jutsu and speed and better control of his own jutsu
Oh good point Kazekage dono, Sasuke can surpress the kyuubi, and him having sage arts gives him a way of fighting sasuke. But they took him to toadland to be able to beat pein….theyre gunna teach him a way to defend against multiple opponents for one, and probably to defend against alot of jutsu.

wow….i thought i analysed things good……well about your analysis of seven swords on his back, i can remmember reading somewhere that the eighth tail of the demon its self is a sword..dunno if that is true…and about the idea the the fourth may have been using the reverse summoning technique. In the encounter with the leaf ninjas and tobi, kakashi stated that the fourth uses a space/time ninjutsu……..but you have got me to think, naruto’s training will not be so bad after all…i mean, the fourth may have went through the same thing,,..mmm….i thought naruto will start going hermit mode but it seems that does not have to be the case….but the only thing that i dnt like is the fact that naruto may not have to use his kyuubi anymore…..it will be so good if naruto gets to master the kyuubi’s chakra…..
and have you thought, naruto has wind natured chakra…i think that naruto will mainly be gathering energy from the wind then…maybe his speed will change then, he may take on traits from the wind, freeier movements and stuff…. i dnt know but i am pretty sure that his wind natured chakra will play a part in this training……and talking about wind nature, asuma was a pretty lame wind natured guy…
i know that Naruto will make the best of this training since all his previous attempts to get to Sasuke have failed, I juts Susuke is of some use still then, he’s serving as the catalyst for Naruto’s advancement towards being a great, bad-ass super ninja. and with opponents like Pein and Madara to face Naruto needs to be advancing very fast.
oh yeah the eight-tails dude seems like he will be a handful for Hawk. he looks badass…real smoothe dude.
I think Naruto should improve his tactics and intelligence first because whats all that power if he doesn’t know how to use it and then he should improve the basics like chakra control and speed and taijutsu. Then he should improve the speed of clones and their power so they won’t disperse so easily!
Then when he is smarter faster he should build his strength, I think his blows to a enemy should be strong so they know not to get close to him !
Then he shouls learn long range jutsu like shoot out balls of wind chakra like Shukaku! He should also learn more elements! I think he should take a jutsu from Itachi, That exploding clone jutsu and the third hokages shuriken shadow clone jutsu and improve that by throwing bigger shuriken! There is so many jutsu I want Naruto to have! But he should get smarter first!

Reverse summoning doesn’t seem to be anything special- just the opposite of normal summoning. Instead of summoning a being from the toad realm into the shinobi world, a being is summoned from the shinobi world to the toad realm. I think all summoning species have their own dimension, since I didn’t see any other animals in the toad world.

Thought: Minato could technically create a summon of himself/his shadow clones and attatch them to the Kunai he used! Nobody ever said people can’t make summoning pacts with THEMSELF!!!

I really liked the idea of Minato using mother nature for speed. This is awesome as Naruto has a wind chakra which is a bonus on top of Mother Nature. Hopefully he masters well and show Sasuke some real speed.

i dont think Minato could summon himself somwhere, i think it was more like Minato/naruto summoned the toad and they can summon Naruto in return which is reverse thing.
so basically i think Minato mastered the Sage Art very well and he used his wind chakra + nature to transport himself anywhere he wanted.

The kyuubi chakra that has been sealed to Naruto is the Yang chakra (aka ‘light side’). i really dont think it’s evil, it’s just intense and wild and powerful.
i’ve read somewhere people saying that once naruto masters the sage arts, he should stop depending on the kyuubi chakra. i think the only reason that jiraiya stopped naruto from using the kyuubi chakra is because naruto can’t control it fully yet, i.e, he loses his mind over the kyuubi and it damages his body. but i believe that naruto just have to unlock how to master the kyuubi chakra and be able to use it. heck, why would Minato seal it to him in the first place?

Well Minato sealed the Kyuubi into Naruto at first place because Minato wanted the villagers and others to see Naruto as a Hero and protector but it kinda turned out to be the other way.
Ok reading the summoning/spacetime ninjutsu thing by E.R….what if Minato used a reverse summoning to leave the earth realm, then summoned himself to wherever he needed to go, and that’s how he used that type of speed??? idk kinda out there but it’s an idea!

@tailed fox…that wasent only the reason,, remmember, before jaraiya fought pein, he was saying how minato knew of something of grave importance which is why he sealed it in naruto.. having said this, this important thing that he knew cannot be linked to him only wanting the villagers to only see naruto as a hero, the reason naruto has the kyuubi i believe will show to be something very interesting which is linked to what minato knew……also i do not think minato sealed the fox in naruto for him to end up not using it.. i think it is obvious that he will learn to master the power..hints have also been given to us of this, like the key jaraiya left behind for naruto

i read some comments from people about naruto learning another element…i think wind is fine enough for him….i cant realy see naruto doing a fire blast, or a lightning blade, or a earth move…the only one that is feasible is a water element, but that will be abit repetive because haku had wind and water and it did not realy look like you do much with it.. ..kyuubi should have its own element natured chakra…someone on the forum said its fire….but fire plus wind = bigger fire and that will just suck

Had a thought, Super Saiyan + Kyuubi = Super Kyuujin. “What?! Naruto is the Legendary Kyuubi?!” “How can this be? I’m an Uchiha genius, a prince of Konoha!” ~ Sasuke-geta in a couple episodes.
I kind of liked this chapter… but enough already get to the action Kishi!
Anyone else notice Pein’s necklace? Kishi made sure it was visible in the face shot of Pein when he really didn’t have to. And how it seems to have the same beads as the one on the pic of the original Rinnegan user? If you look up the three sacred objects, you find a necklace is one of them(as well as the kusanagi sword and a mirror), and that the beads are meant to hold souls or something like that.
Hmm about the reverse summoning justu. That means Minato must have advanced and perfected if anything because the movements he makes are unbelievably fast. However i definitely think that the speed that Minato had was to do with the sage arts, i think Naruto will end up being much faster than anyone so far. He’s gonna be like Ichigo and be using shunpo so fast. Or rather like Captain Kuchki (way 2 cool). Sorry for going off but this training will hold the key to whether Naruto will mature and advance if he fails here then there is nothing he can do. I understand that only people who persevere can obtain the power of the sage arts. Naruto is definitely in the league to do so.
Moreover looking at Naruto, he may probably surpass Minato and Jiraya at this stage if he learns to master the sage arts. If Naruto isnt incredible then i’ll be very annoyed really, it just wont be fair at alll.

I just still have trouble seeing how Jiraiya used senjutsu. Maybe for that toad mouth trap or the swamp jutsu, but considering he trained to learn Senjutsu…from what we’ve seen it really didn’t pay off.
Or maybe we’ll find out that Jiraiya didn’t complete his training and decided to go back for some reason before his training was complete…maybe his rival abandoning the village?
@arex, to your comment at 67….i was actually thinking that maybe pein had the same necklace as the rokudou guy but i forgot to check to see if i was correct.. ,.well its a good thing you checked cuz i forgot.. …..however, my thought towards pein having the same necklace as the “sage of six paths” is that he is a reincarnation of the sage of six paths or you might say, he is the sage of six paths.. it may not make sense, but my reasons are given in the forum….

I wonder if Naruto will be able to develop a way to control the RasenShuriken without harming himself. Probably, like you mentioned, Kage, he will utilize the power of nature to gain absolute dominion over the elemental recomposition exerted upon the Rasengan by Wind Chakra, or maybe, Naruto will do the Henkidama like Goku (his Rasengan could be as big and powerful as Goku´s attack, it may look the same too). Anyway, only time and Kishi will tell.
I think the next chapter will be one to not miss. A great battle shall we see, and the crushing of Konoha through Pain.

The reverse summoning was touched upon by my blog a long while ago. I thought that this reverse summoning would be useful for ‘teleporting’ and could potentially be something similar to what The Fourth did for his YellowFlash Body-flicker move.
Anyways, I dunno what to make of the “Nature chakra’ just yet… However, It doesn’t disprove the fact that there may still be a Yin-Yang Chakra.
I wonder if they will introduce that.

And i am also glad that pein left the killing job to konan…he said that she should kill any ninja that interfers…..this is good cuz konan doesnt look too strong and should not be a troublesome opponent for the leaf ninjas…….pein will go on his own, blindly looking for naruto.. stupid him doesnt know naruto aint there. haha to him…..but what im afraid of is that, pein might go rage mode when he cant fight naruto and start sending ninjas to the other world

guys, we really haven’t seen the extent of jiraiya’s hermit mode as well as ma and pa toad’s capabilities as well as pein’s too. if you remember, Kishi left most of the jiraiya vs pein a mistery. let’s try to remember what happenned:
after Jiraiya nailed 4 Pein bodies, Pein’s 4 bodies came back to life w/ 2 more bodies. Pein punched Jiraiya, hurting his arm badly. end of chapter. Then on the next chapter, we were already shown Jiraiya inside that barrier thing and one of Pein’s body managed to enter the barrier. the place is already run down so it means a lot of fighting have happened already. We dont really know what happened in between. so we can’t really say how powerful Jiraiya’s hermit mode is, nor ma and pa’s power.
besides, even if you’re the most powerful shinobi in the world, if your opponent keeps getting back to life, you cant win. that is why it would take both (1) skills and (2) information on pein’s identity, to kill Pein. Jiraiya had the power but he didn’t have the information. eventually he figured it out but it was too late by then. that is why Pein said “if he knew my identity, he could have killed me.”

when Fukasaku said that naruto has to die to become one with nature. so my theory is that pein will kill naruto. like what happened to garra and then he will be brought back to life using that technique that used on garra.

It seems like a low-level theme is developing of people teaching Naruto just what he needs to go up against Sasuke (and anyone else in the process) without Naruto necessarily realizing that is what is happening.
As Kazekage-done mentioned, learning to use Senjutsu will help to cancel out Sasuke’s ability to suppress the kyuubi’s chakra. Also as mentioned, the Senjutsu might help Naruto catch up to Sasuke in speed.
Kakashi taught him elemental manipulation to counter Sasuke’s electrical attacks.
That just leaves Naruto’s weakness to Genjutsu attacks as his last major shortcoming in facing Sasuke. This makes me wonder about what Itachi did. While Naruto can’t use any of Itachi’s abilities without the Sharingan to go with it, maybe Itachi somehow implanted a resistance to Sharingan-based genjutsu in Naruto’s mind possibly set to trigger when he sees Sasuke use the Sharingan. Such a trigger is shown possible when Sasuke saw Madara’s face for the first time. Makes sense that Itachi would do something like this since Naruto made it clear he intends to bring Sasuke back to Konoha in one piece.

I agree with a couple others in believing that Naruto is not dumb per se. He is not book smart obviously but some of that might be due to trouble getting anyone to teach him anything growing up.
Tactically at least I think Naruto is pretty high up there but he does it intuitively rather than conciously. It is almost like he is an idiot savante – he somehow knows what is likely to work but cant explain how he does it.
The latest example is his fight with Kakuzu – he knew Kakuzu would ignore the clone diversions and only worry about the “real” Naruto as the major threat during the second attack and so changed tactics accordingly.
On the nature of chakra and what Naruto might still learn, Kakashi made it clear he was giving a simplified description of elemental natures when Naruto started asking about medical techniques and special techniques of some of his friends like Shikamaru, Choji, and Kiba and how they fit into the idea of 5 elements. With the addition now of Nature to creating chakra, it is clear that there is a lot about forming and shaping chakra that has not been explained yet.
Given that Minato used the Death demon sealing technique to seal away the Yin side of the Kyuubi chakra while sealing the Yang side inside of Naruto using the 4 Season seal, I agree he obviously wanted Naruto to have access to the kyuubi chakra at some point. Otherwise he should have been able to just use the Death technique to completely seal Kyuubi.
Also in regard to Naruto’s kyuubi seal, I got the impression from Jiraiya’s conversation with the scroll toad that the 8 season seal recorded on the scroll is intended to completely seal off the kyuubi’s chakra within Naruto instead of allowing it to leak through in a way that Naruto could use. In that regard, it makes sense that the scroll frog would not want to give the one technique that could stop the kyuubi from taking over Naruto to the very person it is intended to stop.
And sorry for posting a bunch at once. I don’t check the blog constantly so ideas build up in my head.

btw you made some great point there Shardis Wolfe. I like the idea how Itachi gave sometin to trigger automatically against Sharingan users, it makes sense since Itachi was the master of Genjutsu, he might hve known the weakness of Sharingan Genjutsu.

Shardis Wolfe, you made an excellent point. Naruto is far from “dumb”. He just has his “own way” of doing things, and a lesser understanding of how to tell someone else to do what he’s done. You can’t say that he isn’t innovative. Even way back when he fought Zabuza, the way he quickly sought to make himself into the Demon Wind Shuriken while the clone threw it to Sasuke was genius. Same for when he fought Kiba and Akamaru. Needless to say, he may end up being just as his father was. Since he’s close-combat type, he would be damn near unstoppable if he learned the “Flying Thunder God” technique. Imagine him using that technique with the amount of shadow clones he can create. Easily a one man army.

Pretty much a decent transition chapter. I really liked the change from generic backgrounds and environments, Myobokuzan looks lush.
If you think about it Sasuke will need to be as strong as he is to face Naruto on even footing. Because when Naruto learns to master sage techniques which means using the energy surrounding him, as well as Fuuton ninjutsu combined with his already enourmous chakra reserves, he’s gonna be hard to stop. Potentially he could use Fuuton ninjutsu to increase his speed dramatically, as well as making his kunai more potent. While the sage techniques up his strength. Just one possibility.

After training in the sage arts, Naruto is going to be the most powerful shinobi ever, period. Think about it, he already has an unlimited supply of chakra from the Kyuubi and now he will be able to tap into the energy of the nature around him, its ridiculous.

naruto doesn’t need more chakra, he needs more ninjutsu, even pervy ninjutsu would be something
naruto definately needs more ninjutsu. he also needs to study somemore.
What Jiraiya discovered about Pein’s bodies was that each body specialized in one form of jutsu – one body did just summoning jutsus, another body focused on taijutsu, another could absorb all forms of chakra effectively absorbing all elemental attacks. What the other bodies could do was not shown. The Rinnegan allows each of Pein’s body to see everything the other bodies can see, and probably has something to do with either imposing his personality (or will) on the minds of the original ninjas he is using for bodies or somehow allows him to reanimate them if they were already dead. For that last we dont know which it is yet but the autopsy of the one body might clear that up. Also if Pein’s Rinnegan works the same way through the bodies as it did when he was a kid being trained by Jiraiya, if one body sees a new jutsu then whichever body specializes in that type of jutsu should be able to instantly duplicate it.
Based on Jiraiya’s fight with Pein (especially the part where he at least temporarily killed 3 bodies), the way to beat Pein would preferrably be to physically separate the bodies so they can’t share their vision to support each other and then assign ninjas to each body that are well-suited to fighting that body’s jutsu specialization. For example, Neji, Hinata, or Lee would probably be good opponent for the chakra absorbing body.

As far as ellements go naruto and sasuke are even. sasuke has fire and lightning while naruto has wind and since his mom was once a waterfall ninja he might have water so depending what they through at each other there battle will swing either way. what do you all think?
idk if anyone said this all ready but i think that when naruto learns his new moves from the yoda guy =) he will be able to control the wind itself but not like a god or anything but something like that

Think of how tough some of the expert Wind users are. If Naruto became as proficient as Temari, he’ll be a major force to be reckoned with. Remember that Ten Ten couldn’t even hit Temari with a barrage of weapons due to her wind jutsus.

I think in the future Naruto will have four elements wind water fire and earth! I have this theory because we all know he has wind and he could have water seeing that Kushina is from the Whirlpool country and fire because he is from the fire country and the will of fire burns in him like everyone else and I don’t know about earth I just think it would be cool if he could use it aswell!
The more I read the manga I realize Naruto is going to be more powerful than anyone. Think about it Kishi is doing the opposite of what Akira did. Akira made Goku strong from the start of the series everyone was amazed at his strength! But Kishi is making Naruto work for his strength and I think it will finally pay off!

What I found interesting was that Kishi likes to use legends to write Naruto.Cause in legends,that mountain was called mount myoko.
If I understand the idea behind personal elemental natures, someone can eventually learn jutsus from all the elements. They are just better at jutsus that they have a natural leaning towards – the jutsus are easier to learn and are probably more chakra efficient making them easier to use and stronger.
Kishi has portrayed the Will of Fire as more of a philosophy or outlook on life than any skill with fire jutsus. Although I am sure Konoha has a fair number of fire jutsu users and keeps attracting more of them for this reason.

It has not been made clear what element Naruto’s father was skilled at. His tendency toward wind has been attributed to his mother though it is possible his father had the same leaning based on his signature jutsus. Any tendency towards water jutsus based on mother’s country is same as any tendency towards fire based on (presumably) father’s country.
IF Naruto is being influenced towards developing skills perfectly suited for going against Sasuke like I mentioned before, then water would be the next most logical element for him to develop.
Also considering frogs’ preference for water, there might be some hermit techniques specifically geared towards water jutsus, like the spitting oil jutsu that Jiraiya had.
my theory is that any ninja can use any element he learns except bloodlines like Hakus ice or the 1st jungle elements

I remember hearing that anyone can learn elemental jutsus but its extremely hard. Remeber Naruto’s special training method so maybe we will see it used here again or in the future. Using his special training method lets him learn techniques in only a couple of weeks which would take years to master. BTW i just joined hello everyone! P.S. Who uses my name and what does it mean?

I don’t think that anyone can learn elemental jutsus. I thought Kakashi explained that everyone is born with a primary element type. Jonin’s learn to use 2 elements, and more skilled Jonin’s learn to use 3. Kakashi can use all due to the Sharingan’s ability to copy other jutsus. He easily used Earth, Water, and Fire in his training with Sakura and Naruto. We’ve also seen him use Lightning.
Its highly unusual for any ninja to be able to slightly use all elements.
I believe it is possible for anyone to learn some jutsus from all elements. It is just unlikely though. When the jutsus you can use can mean the difference between life and death, it just makes more sense to focus your training on those elements you have a natural skill at, starting with the element you are strongest at and working your way down. The biggest reason NOT to focus one’s training all on your strongest element would be to prevent an enemy from customizing his attacks against you.
If you had plenty of time to train like Orochimaru or Kakuzu, then it is reasonable that a ninja could learn jutsus from all elements and be able to use them well.
Well avatar-sean Madara won’t be defeated that easily.Because he avoids fighting AND he’s got Akatsuki to do the job for him.Also he has the timespace jutsu which is very usefull.

You said it your self.MIGHT have.As far as we know Naruto has only one element and he hasn’t even tried to learn another one.He may got another one during the manga but so far he has only one.
I just had a thought concerning Senjutsu and how it appears that Kishi is gearing Naruto and Sasuke up for an eventual even-up match like before.
What Sasuke did during his fight with Itachi of generating a thunderstorm and then harnessing the lightning produced might be considered a very primitive form of senjutsu. He took the power of nature and used his personal chakra to manipulate and channel it. The obvious next step towards true senjutsu would be to combine the power of Nature with your personal chakra inside your body BEFORE performing the jutsu to manipulate and channel it.
Given the spectacular result Sasuke produced, I am not really sure which method is more powerful. A true senjutsu version of what Sasuke did might be faster to perform (not having to wait for the thunderstorm to form) but I have doubts that it would be more powerful as I am not sure a body could safely control that level of electricity within itself.
Thx for clearing that up for me Yamato-San, I think skilled jounin can learn to use other elements, so maybe anyone can learn but it extremely hard, so I think it’s up to skill and genius.
Finally hes there ive been waiting for naruto to learn sage training but now hes almost done in 418
