The code is cracked. And guess what? Naruto held the answer all along! Believe it! And as most of us have suspected all along, the TRUTH lies within the PORN! In this case, Jiraiya’s naughty adult books: the Icha Icha series, but it’s still a type of porn!
Now before you can fully understand how this code was cracked, you need to have a little background knowledge on what katakana is. To save you time reading about that oh-so-exciting Wikipedia article, the short answer is katakana are like Japanese syllables. One katakana character is one ‘sound’ and you combine a bunch of them together to make a word. The big clue which Naruto brought up is that the first number in Jiraiya’s code looks like the katakana character for ‘TA’ than the number 9 everybody had thought it was. On their training trip, Jiraiya always asked Naruto to read his handwritten manuscripts to get his opinion on it, and Naruto would always reply “this is boring as hell.” But Naruto noticed one of Jiraiya’s handwriting quirks was that he wrote his ‘TA’s similar to 9’s.
With the combined brain power of Shikamaru and Shiho, they were able to deduce that the ‘TA’ must be referring to one of titles of Jiraiya’s book and the remaining numbers pointing to page numbers within that book. Kakashi, ever the scene-hogger, just happens to be outside of the window at that moment … and just happens to have a copy of the exact book they were looking for. Too much of a coincidence? Hmmmm? Well regardless, I bet Kakashi never anticipated that he would be asked to read out passages from his perverted book out loud. Now that was a golden moment, hahaha, I loved Kakashi’s reaction throughout that scene. I can’t wait to see this part animated. I can just imagine seeing Kakashi trying to read those perverted lines out loud:
“…It isn’t real, is it? Yours is the biggest I’ve ever…”
“…them, but Iko’s moans were….”
Kakashi’s expression afterwards was just as priceless. And Shikamaru’s expression was equally funny. Though on the other hand, Naruto and Shiho seem completely unaffected by any of it.
The message they get in the end by reading the first word on each page is: “The Real One Isn’t With Them.” This confuses everyone at the table so Kakashi suggests they seek out Fukasaku (Pa Toad) to see what it means to him. But to us, the readers, it’s clear that Jiraiya is saying that the real Pein wasn’t among the six bodies which he fought. This might mean the person who is controlling all the bodies, who right now seems most likely to be Nagato, is somewhere else. This may not seem like much of a secret, but I think it’s the first step in helping Naruto and the rest of the Leaf ninja defeat Pein.
Speaking of Pein, the next scene in the chapter switches to a meeting between Madara, Pein and “Konan.” I wrote “Konan” because I‘m not sure if she is the real one or not anymore. Pein reports that Jiraiya is dead and that he can go after the Nine-Tails now. Madara tells him to hurry his ass before the Leaf ninja figure out a way to stop him (that Madara is pretty sharp). “Konan” then repeats her line like always: ‘OMG! Pein is so bishi… I mean invincible! Sqeeealllll!’
Pein then calls Konan to get ready because they are heading to Konoha. But the Konan who answers is another girl who walks out from the shadows with Pein’s other bodies. She has the characteristic piercings and Rinnegan in her eyes like all the other bodies. Is this the real Konan? If so, then who is the other “Konan”? And If the first Konan is a pretender, then how could she use paper techniques like the real Konan could.
It looks to me that the newly revealed Konan is a puppet just like the other bodies. It seems that the one controlling them, according to Jiraiya‘s message, must be Nagato as he is not among the bodies. So the burning questions at the moment are: where is Nagato and what happened to him to make his own best friends into human weapons that were used to kill his sensei?

I guess SSJ’s theory was correct when he said that Pein’s true body was elsewhere. The solution to the code confirmed it.
As for Konan II, I think she’s not the real Konan, but rather a clone. One of the the Rin’negan’s abilities is morphing, so I suppose Pein’s true ability is cloning people (dead or alive), by using their DNA or chakra or unique abilities. And since he doesn’t have a Byakugan-user clone, or the 1st Hokage, this cloning ability probably can’t be used on people with Kekkei Genkai.
Now, about Jiraiya’s code, I don’t think “The Real One Isn’t With Them” covers the whole thing. This sentence was made from 6 other ones, which have their own meanings (even if the meanings to most of them are perverted, in a way…). I think they key to beat Pein is to kill all the bodies at once and the real macoy will have to show up. With no clones, Pein has no defense or an offense.

…the next title and Pein’s words can lead us into believing that Pein’s gonna invade Konoha … if that code doesn’t reach Fukasaku or Tsunade … before Pein strikes… Konoha is in very deep shit … and very shaky grounds… We already predicted Tsunade will face Pein … seems to me Tsuanade isn’t gonna be much more difficult the Jiraiya … Tsunade will be on home-turf, but Pein’s bodies make a “almost” unstoppable force…

Kudos to you, Kishi (although you don’t who the heck I am)! It was utterly surprising that Naruto did something smart for a change. That takadana…whatever it is spelled…was the boring Japanese moment of the episode.
Kakashi’s darkest side came out to light. Can’t imagine why he covers his face all of the time? For the first time in the whole Naruto series, Kakashi, the hero of many of us, was shown terribly embarassed. Of course, only Shikamaru was the only one able to understand Jiraiya’s language (he takes care of a pregnant woman). Naruto and Shiho were completely clueless.
About the Akatsuki meeting, what I have to say is the following (pay close attention)! It looked like Madara and Pain treat each more like peers than like leader and subordinate. I wonder who the 8th bijuu is. I have a feeling that it is Orochimaru living in Kabuto. That is probably one of the reasons for which Emo Sasuke was sent to get it (other than because Pain’s task is to get the Nine-Tails Kyubbi and because Madara can handle it). Jiraiya’s dying message has really scared the crap out of Pain, so much that he’s decided to invade Konoha. This is probably when Tsunade takes revenge for Jiraiya’s death. I feel the outcome of the Pain invasion is the death of Tsunade and of quite a few insignificant Leaf ninja. Also, I feel that maybe one of the not-very-popular characters will die as well. The code must be deciphered and understood well soon, and Naruto will either become stronger in a blink of an eye or go the Toad Mountain. Anyway, I am pretty sure that Pain will be easily defeated when his secret is discovered because when fighting Hermit-mode Jiraiya he said that if he discovered the freaking Rinnegan secret it was all over for him. Poor Konan…she is also one of Pain’s Rinnegan’s puppets or at least that is what it seems like. I wonder were Nagato is but I doubt Nagato is the one pulling the strings of the Rinnegan and the bodies. Heck, Kishi, you make us go through all of this!

Tsunade dies and pein captures naruto. naruto is taken away and the nine tails is extracted but for some reason he is not dead… konoha ninja rescue naruto after the fox is extracted (much like gaara) and akatsuki gets a hold on all nine tailed beasts.
At that point Madara and Pein clash as their ideologies finally contradict and Madara’s true goal is revealed.
Naruto is devastated and thinks that without the kyuubi he has no chance against akatsuki and sasuke. Then he is told that he is the son of minato and that his “container” has much more potential than he ever thought even without the kyuubi… after all his body was able to sustain all that constant damage from the kyuubi’s chakra.
He is then taken to the toad mountain for training (meanwhile Kakashi is hokage) and as the story unfolds naruto is not seen again until only after his training is over… this time he is changed (he carries the toad scroll) and can go to hermit mode… and he finally is able to complete THAT jutsu that Jirayia talked about with the scroll that holds naruto’s key. And while writing this i realised that my theory is leaking from everywhere… heck with it… sth to discuss anw.

First off, while I’ll admit I was correct about the use of the numbers, I am happy to see that it looks like I’m going to be right about the real guy controlling it from behind the scenes.
Even though Naruto might have the IQ of an inbred mule, I’ve gotta give it to him for noticing the katakana. I have to give Kishi props for being able to hide that sooo well, but never the less, exposing that barely noticeable flaw in the code.
J, you could definitely be on to something with the 6 lines all having a sub-meaning, but then again that could be a stretch…. Since this is Kishimoto we’re dealing with, its definitely a possibility.
About the new body, I think it looks like the rain village, (which would help the “real konan” theory), but what is the origin of her headband. You can’t really see it behind her bangs.
Unfortunately, after looking at the formations of their face and eyelashes, then looking at this Konan, and the little girl Jiraiya remembers, I don’t think this body is “the real Konan.”
Remember, Pein’s requirements for the job are that the person must have been part of Jiraiya’s life, and I read from someone’s comment earlier that it looks like Naruto’s Mom. That is a huge possibility…
I don’t know, time will tell.
I have a feeling we will get to see Sasuke’s new sharingan in action soon.

Remember when Jiraiya and Naruto came back at the beginning of Shippuden, Jiraiya gave Kakashi an early print edition of the newest ook in the Icha Icha series. I believe it’s the same book, so might have still been fresh on Jiraiya’s mind to have remembered it. Anyway, great job once again Bob!

Based on Konan and Madara’s conversation, the 8-tails seems to be an specially powerful bijuu. the more tails the more powerful a bijuu is. and 8 is just one notch lower than 9 (haha, stating the obvious). so this will be a big battle. time for sasuke to show us his new moves.

Maybe the 4th used the Kyuubi’s chakra to supress the “key” which could be Naruto’s bloodline limit…but who knows!

// Jul 6, 2008 at 8:57 amjust a question guys… everybody hopes that naruto has a kekkai genkai… but did the fourth have any? i don’t remember anything like that being mentioned anywhere in the manga… he was known as konoha’s yellow flash but that was a technique and not a bloodline limit right?
If his father didn’t have any then i don’t think naruto will end up having one either… don’t think he needs it anw… it would be nice but neither did jirayia had any, nor tsunade, nor the third and neither did orochimaru. i think that if and when in some way the kyuubi is extracted from naruto, naruto will be much better off in the sense that finally he will have 100% control of his own chakra… if i recall correctly in the naruto series somewhere it was mentioned that naruto had a hard time learning and mastering jutsu because the fox’s chakra was making it difficult for him.

// Jul 6, 2008 at 9:00 amand btw, kishi surprises me by sending pein after naruto already… naruto hasn’t even started training… how is he going to stand up to pein or any other akatsuki member? even if he has the will to avenge jiraya’s death, honestly, if he beats pein with his current jutsus it will be kinda disappointing… so the way i see it… either naruto leaves for training with the toad sage before pein arrives or he is captured.

// Jul 6, 2008 at 9:03 amand another thing that makes me think that naruto is going to be captured… i think kishi said in an interview (can’t remember where i read it) that this year it will be mostly for kakashi and sakura. specifically he said that something monumental will happen to kakashi… so i think tsunade dies and kakashi is hokage. as for sakura… with naruto taken away it will be like her resolution to rescue him.

// Jul 6, 2008 at 12:41 pmcan’t say i know the details… when kishi is writing the script you never can… but supposedly tsunade dies then kakashi stays in the village as hokage… who’s left? sakura i presume along with others… lee, kiba, neji… and i could imagine gaara and the sand village as well returning the favour for a friend in need.

// Jul 6, 2008 at 1:00 pmI don’t think Tsunade will fight Pein. When Naruto goes and trains with the toads, Pein will leave Konoha alone. Pa Toad fought Pein and knows the skills that Pein has. No need to sacrifice a person to test Pein’s abilities. If Tsunade does fight anyone, it will be Madara when he pays a visit to Konoha. Kakashi and Sakura I guess will have to fight Sasuke.

But i think if Naruto does get captured and they have to wait for the 8 tailed beast that he will be paired in a cell with someone and then be trained in a special skill…or Sasuke will break him out(big maybe there)

Considering that… it should be the 8 tails.
However, this also kinda ruins the theory that Orochimaru is the 8 tails.

So far, the ones we know that got caught are…
1 tails, 2 tails (cat), 3 tails (sea monster?),
4 tails (old dude).
Any ideas guys?

Because if he was talking about the order they were captured, he doesn’t know if it would be the 8th, or last one captured, because he doesn’t know if Sasuke will get his first or Pein (who he wants to capture Naruto NOW) will capture his first. So I think Sasuke is going after the 8th.
And if Naruto is captured, I think Sasuke is somehow going to save him… I hope*
