Naruto Chapter 395: Shino Gets the Shaft Again

Oh man, poor Shino. Dude, I shed a tear for you. Maybe this won’t make up for how they treated you in this chapter, but I’ll try – I’m gonna do this blog in the same manner you talked in this chapter. Why? (Hey look, I already started) Because you deserve better Shino. After the end of last chapter, I was really expecting you to shine for a bit and give that slippery Tobi a run for his money with some super bug jutsu. But no. You get to use one jutsu on Tobi and then the battle ends. How is this unfair? Because even though you’re as emo as Sasuke and nearly as smart as Shikamaru, you gets so little battle time in Naruto. Not including this one (which is probably too short to count anyways), you’ve had two battles so far in the last 395 chapters: the one against that punk Zaku and one against Kankuro. How were those battles? Well, in both cases you won, so why haven’t you gotten any more fights? You’re a proven winner, you deserve another challenge!
But in the end, what does Shino get? One lousy chapter… he even has his back turned on the cover for Christ’s sake! Furthermore, even when Shino is working hard at it trying to capture Tobi, Naruto just has to be there to comment about his every action – it‘s as if Naruto doesn‘t think he‘s getting enough screen time in this chapter so he just has to pop his face up every couple of panels. I find his little commentary SO annoying.
It’s like if somebody was looking over my shoulder while I’m tying this blog up ,and every few sentences he would shout into my ear: “What the hell, you totally spelled that wrong!†or “Nice theory!†or “All right! Suck him dry, Bob!†– LOL for that last one, I’d probably react just like Shino did:
So what is that secret Aburame technique Kakashi was talking about last chapter? Well, because Shino can attack with thousands of his tiny Kikaichu bugs, he can spread his attack over a huge area and make it virtually impossible for the opponent to dodge or escape. And after the enemy is surrounded with all the escape routes cut off, Shino can capture him. How does he do this? Well, in this battle, he uses a new technique called Insect Globe (Mushidama) which has all his bugs encircle Tobi in a shell and then close in from all sides to smother him. It’s a very useful jutsu in this case, especially against an opponent whose specialty seems to be evasion. But unfortunately, Tobi isn’t your normal type of opponent. Even with Shino’s bugs sticking to him and both Kakashi’s Sharigan and Hinata’s Byakugan trained on him, Tobi manages to slip away in the blink of the eye. How is this possible? Shino rules out that a teleportation jutsu was used because his bugs would’ve sensed where the person moved to and pursued.
Kakashi comes to the conclusion that it must be some sort of space/time jutsu, but is amazed Tobi could do it without any type of hand seals or summoning tattoos. Kakashi then hints that Tobi’s space/time jutsu might be more advanced than even the Fourth’s. But that’s bull. Why? Because Minato was the most badass Hokage there ever was and nobody can top the Yellow Flash! Shame on you for doubting your deceased sensei, Kakashi 
Now if Tobi can indeed manipulate space-time, then that might explain why Madera (if he is really Tobi) is immortal. If someone can shift his body outside of this space-time, that would mean the normal rules of time don’t apply to him or at least he can bend the rules. If that is the case, then Tobi/Madara could have stopped himself from aging or is just aging very slowly.
However, I also have some questions. Kakashi sees Tobi’s Sharingan in the last panel. But think about this, didn’t Madara have PERMENANT Mangeyou Sharingan? Yet Tobi’s Sharingan is just a regular one, even when first see it in chapter 364. So let’s assume Madara took over Obito’s body or just took his eye or something. It’s still just a regular Sharingan. As far as I know, the space-time type jutsu is an ability of the Mangekyou Sharingan only. So what’s the deal here? Who is this guy really?
One last thing I wanna mention is the part when Aloe Vera (kukuku…) shows up and reports that Sauske won and Itachi is dead, and Tobi reacts as if he knew it all along. Now, this could be Tobi trying to be goofy again, but I believe it’s partly the Madara side talking here. So if Tobi/Madara knew all along Sasuke would beat Itachi, and didn’t do anything to stop it, he is probably planning on using Sasuke for some purpose. I’m assuming where Tobi/Madara is heading to is where Sasuke is. But what’s he going to do with him? I have a couple theories: 1. Make him a member of Akatsuki 2. Take his eyes or steal his body 3. Make him a sacrificial vessel and seal the Bijuus into him, making him the ultimate weapon. I can’t support any of these with any solid evidence, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

yeah 2nd!!!I feel sorry for the whole konoha group they all got punk’d. Shinos secret jutsu that looked like his regular bug jutsu.kiba jumps out and drives himself int the ground.and poor kakashi looks freaking terrorfied when he hears itachi is beat by sasuke.

Wow, nice chapter nice blog. I agree with most of what you say. And yes the 4th is more badass than Tobi, but he might have had his hands full with the original Madara.
I also agree with the fact that Tobi has a plan for Sasuke. He has been watching him progress for a while, commenting of his power, and in awe of the potential of his Sharingan. I like all 3 of your theories, especially the ultimate weapon one, even though its the least likely.
I think he was going to use Itachi for something, which is why he pulled him over to the “dark side,” when he was younger, much like the Sith and Anakin Skywalker. Probably to eventually take his eyes or use him as an apprentice, but when he observed the Diedara fight, and said he saw greater potential in Sasuke than Itachi, he planned on all this happening. He probably knew Itachi was plotting against him, and might have been good, so he was not going to stop this fight that he “knew,” Sasuke was going to win.
I liked the third theory…..the one when Tobi makse Sasuke his ultimate weapon….(but i’m wondering, can anyone hold inside them all of the bijuu’ s without …..well….dying?)
And what is more interesting……Tobi’s Sharingan…hmm…..maybe it’s an EMS ability to transform itself to normal sharingan everytime he wants…..and backwards ( Sharingan to EMS) ….but that’s rather too simple for Kishimoto’s style…..so i think there is a Madara/Obito connexion here
I believe Madara will snatch sasuke’s body and use it for some other purpase. My quess is he will warp his mind and control him like a puuppet. Sasuke will used as a tool for Madara.Madara will also train Sasuke to increase his power. Somehow I beleive it will be Naruto that will Bring sasuke back. He will save him from Madara. Being the emo person that he is Sasuke will be pissed and then fight the Konoha ninja. kakashi will intervine and kill his former pupil to save Naruto and sakura when sasuke attacks them.

i think kishimoto should really re-examine his characters. a whole chunk of the battles have been naruto, sasuke, kakashi and sakura. why dont the supporting characters get any love? hell, unless we watch the anime we don’t even know any of tenten’s techneques. these supporting characters need much more, well, support.

i really hope that after this tobi/sasuke etc.. arc kishi goes into detail with the 4th (i know its been done to a certain point) with his training, well maybe with a new sensai for naruto who teaches him some of his fathers moves, and also id like to see when naruto gets j-samas big scroll maybe he’ll visit the toads and become bad-ass.
it would also be cool to see a flashback of how the 1st defeated madara seems that he got space-time abilities.
Those of you who talk about the 4th Hokage have you ever thought that maybe the 4th sealed Madara’s powers in the 9 Tail’s Battle and that may be the reason for the Tobi disguise?

We all know that the 4th sealed the nine tails fox in Naruto(obviously) but what if the 4th sealed Madara in Tobi? I don’t remember ever reading anything about his sealing jutsu being a 1 time deal
so for all we know the 4th Hokage might have had an epic battle with Madara that no one knew of because of the presence of the Giant threat of the Nine Tails Fox. During that battle the 4th Hokage was able to seal Madara into a host body(Like Naruto except not him) then the Yellow Flash made his way to encounter the Nine Tails. Ofcourse, due to the battle with Madara his chakra may have been extremely depleted and just like Itachi keeled over dead.
Tho of course I still believe that the Sasuke/Itachi battle was all a genjutsu on Zetsu and the brothers are gonna kick some major orange spiraled face in when Tobi arrives!

though he could have used a shadow clone like the third did with oro but considering that the 4th summoned gamabunta for his nine-tailed fight I find this unlikely considering Madra wasn’t with the nine-tails just controling it.
I’m still not convinced that Tobi is Madara. To me, seeing that Tobi has a Sharingan only makes the possibility of him being Obito a lot higher. Though I will say this, there has to be an ultimate plan regarding Sasuke. His destiny must mean a whole lot if every Uchiha was killed except him. So I see Sasuke as being very important in the Naruto universe.
This was an awesome post Bob, and I always look forward to seeing your insight. The only part that gets me is, the part about only Sharingan users can use space/time. If that’s true, then the 4th’s body flicker is not a true space/time jutsu since he doesn’t have Sharingan. And that kinda erks me. lol. Oh well, just gotta get over it I suppose.
reaper death seal does kill you Crimson so I doubt the 4th could have done it twice.

As for Tobi’s Sharingan, I don’t remember anyone saying EMS can’t be returned to normal Sharingan… Eternal means he won’t go blind and the MS won’t dissapear with time, not that he can’t change it back… Or it could be that his MS just looks like anormal Sharingan.. Remember his brother MS was wierd….
And ‘Aloe Vera’ is the greatest insult I’ve ever read in a manga… Zetsu is way too cool to be a sissy plant like that…

wat if they were all in a genjutsu frm the moment tobi met them as itachi was rely goo d with creating genjutsus barely moving and in a way thats hard to notice. and madra wuld probably have much more pwerful genjutsus so they could’ve all been caught without knowing.
Remember when Jiraiya was training Naruto the first time…he said that Naruto was just like Minato…at least in the way they acted!
I don’t think they have all been in genjutsu Grand Hokage. Things like that are techniques authors try to use as few as possible. It creates confusion to the progression of the story, but it is still possible.
And Guruku, I agree about Naruto still being immature. It’ll take something like the death of Sasuke, Sakura, or Kakashi or something for him not to be. But yeah I think it was his mom that was loud-mouthed, but thats just a guess.

catching them in a genjutsu without anyone even noticing not even hinata that would make tobi real dangerous and remeber that sukara first suggested that it maigt but neither hinata nor the 2 jonin (kakashi and yamato) have a clue wats going on either. i was talkin to a friend a few days ago and we we saying naruto isn’t quiet the ninja we expect him to be yet. with ero-sensei now gone it will be intresting to see if the information about naruto’s parent and the reason he has the fox begins to surface. and whats up with that cryptic frog ero-sanin sent before his death?
All summons are space/ time related jutsu and I think the fourth summons himself to his seals??? but the uchiha’s have a diffrent type of space/time jutsus

im not saying that its not possible and in fact it is a very,very good theory.i was under the impression that the 4th only sealed the kyuubi and did not come into contact/fight with anyone,who we now know to be madara because he summoned the kyuubi.especially since jiraiya mentioning that minato knew something of importance about the kyuubi.maybe minato found something important when/if he fought with madara.i wonder if minato talked to the kyuubi after he sealed him and the kyuubi told him about madara ?

mart1 thats a very good point.about how if madara summoned the kyuubi then he had to be in the area,right ? if we look way,way,way…way back to the very first episode of naruto.remember how it opens with the 3rd talking about the disaster of the kyuubi? then it goes to some of the konoha nin who were stalling the kyuubi.then one of the ninja says hold the attack and wait for the 4th hokage(why not ask for the 3rd? i know he was in retirement becase the 4th was the acting hokage).now what was the 4th during in this time.was he having an epic battle with madara or did he just need more time to arrive to the scene ?? know that we all have come so far in the storyline,we begin to ask more question in retrospect.so where the fuck was the 3rd? lmao
Yeah, I think tobi is smarter than he is strong, this space/time jutsu could be an elaborate hoax and could be just seals placed around everywhere, but then again his cockiness could led you to believe that this is all a joke to tobi(which it is).
Well great blog Bob, and it had some interesting scenes in it this time with subtle hinds of what might happen later on. What is Madara’s plan for Sasuke? What is Naruto and chumps going to do now that Madara and Zetsu leaving them? Why was it told to Naruto and chumps what the outcome of Sasuke and Itachi battle?
These are some question i hope to be answered soon.
Tensai-teki good point, where was the third. Is it possible that the 4th and Madara were fighting, and madara used his badass space-time jutsu to transport him to the leaf village and summon the kyuubi
It also seems a little weird, i understsand that they would wait for the fourth because he is the hokage, but its almost like they had a defense planned for this, but that might just be me

They probably have some plan of defence but it would deal with any type of biiju not just the kyubi. They waited for the hokage because no one else could’ve stood a chance. the third wasn’t there because he’s an old man. Also note that my comment before was saying that Madra WASN’T near the kyubi so the fourth couldn’t have reached him in time to have a battle.
On a side note: I left my lights on during earth day, my plan to destroy the world muwhahaha
mizukage i agree with you.i think its hell funny also.as someone who is athletic and does mostly one on one sports,track,wrestling(competively)boxing,jujutsu and a UFC stlye of fighting.im not the type to react to taunts,and i am more like sojirou frm rurouni kenshin.like ill never forget it my junior year in high school 04-05 at my wrestling regionals.this one guy in my semi final match just kept head butting me(which is illegal) and i was saying to myself when is the ref gonna call this,so after about 2 more times the ref called it.afterwards i pinned the guy in the first period.so after the match alot of coaches and officials were comin up to me and congradulating me on maintaining my composure and not retaliating.i wouldnt let it affect my skills by just rushing in like kiba lol,but in the back of my mind i would be annoyed

uh hello wake up people i jus took that little poll where they ask do u think that tobi is madara and the answer is no obviously my fellow naruto fans he is not madara uchiha because madara uchiha obtained mangekyou and killed his brother and took his eyes so his mangekyou would be permenant. now jus as bob said that is no more than a first state sharingan second ifu count the fully matured version when the third 6 appears from it first being only 2 but either way it is definitely not a permenant mangekyou sharingan like madara uchiha’s therefore it cannot be him

I think that Tobi used one of the EMS’s powers to teleport himself out of that sticky situation, and then switched back to normal Sharingan. He knew that Kakashi (or someone) would see it, and I don’t think he would have wanted them to know that he had the EMS yet. Just to save the element of suprise for when it would come in handy.
Also, I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again- Minato’s teleportation technique is just to unique and difficult to be taught, or at least somebody else would have learned it. Even more evident is the fact that Kakashi had the Sharingan for ten years before Minato died, and never used it to copy his warp abilities. That would be the first thing on my list if I was a copycat ninja. I think it is some sort of Kekkai Genkai.
Something tells me that in the next chapter the it will start out with some dialog between either the konoha ninja or tobi and zetsu, then finally switch to team hebi and kisame.
intresting theory DanC Minato’s teleportation jutsu being kekkai genkai, so many things to be reveled. can’t wait to see it all unwrap itself
just kinda confirming wat i said before, in chapter 364 tobi says everything will be as it should be and the sharingans true power will be unleashed, he could be referring to the theory that madaras powers were sealed by the 4th. btw some1 said before that u cant seal 2 things with reaper death seal, but the 4th could hav used shadow clones like the 3rd did with orochimaru and 1st n 2nd hokages.
Minato’s teleportation is in relation to special tags on kunai’s he’d place or given to certain people. It’s not Kekkai Genkai. But even at that, I believe that he was still incredibly fast. Look at how fast Lee moved once he removed the weights. He moved even faster when opening the “gates”. I think the 4th got his nickname for just being super duper fast.

Yeah right, shino showed very short fight…he deserve longer fights…things quite complicated now…and their ninujutsu becoming more impossible…how is it possible to warp space and time by simply using unique chakra…
in physics, time travel e and warping of spacetime seems possible…but there are lot of conditions to attain these. 1) the body must be super fast, 2)the density of the body must be very high 3) the body possesses tremendous amount of energy…
these conditions also have consequences
a body moving very fast approaching the speed of light, increases its mass, dilates the time and contracts its size…thus the bodyin this state as if travels the future…
a body with very high density has great gravitational field and can pull everything towards it…it has a large momentum when it moves thus its very hard to stop and change its direction…it any cases because of its great density, it shred spacetime and form wormhole, a warping of space and time… a body can transfer to another dimension
a body with great energy reserve must have invulnerable container to resist very high temperature and pressure….energy is proportional to temperature as to pressure…a large energy reserve can fuel it to travel very very fast thus can increase its momentum, which can make time moves slower and may shred dimensions…
looking through the identity of tobi, nothing of these conditions agree with him…so its impossible for him likewise to have such consequences..
if sasuke use the concept of physics in his attacks, why did it void to madara

Sorry I am late everybody! This chapter was very strange to me. I mean, the Sasuke vs. Itachi fight lasted about 10 chapters, so I thought that the Tobi fight would last about as long as that!
Also, I really think that Tobi is Obito, not Madara, or Madara in Obito’s body. I think it is Obito one way or another for sure because when Kakashi saw Tobi with the Shaningan, the reaction on his face was very surprised.
Also, I know Tobi is like leader of Akatsuki, commands Pain (blah) (blah) (blaaaah), so he may have some stuff to do, but I think this is just too much. Pretty much every fight he’s been in he left.
My last comment. I think that Pain and Konan (is that her name?) are the only people that know about Madara. One incident that supports that is when Deidara the explosion man blew himself up and said sorry i have to do this to you Tobi. Tobi just looked like he wasn’t surprised. So, besides Itachi, Pain, and Konan, (maybe Zetsu) were the only people that knew about Madara.
yo maybe he does have a mangekyou but at the end he can change it just so it looks like he is weak i think he is trying to be like obito because he doesnt want anyone to know that madara is alive and is trying some other plan to destroy konoha, well in that case i think hes tight cause konoha sucks balls

Shino is one of my fave characters so I completely agree that he deserves more. Shikamaru had a cool enough fight, so why not Shino get a chance too? But I think the cover was nice. Shino’s is one of the most recognisable backs, hehe!:P
So, Itachi’s really dead? I mean, really really? I’ll need some more proof for that. I can’t accept it just like that!
As for your theories, I think the first one might be the most possible, though I can’t imagine Sasuke accepting to join Akatsuki, since he’s so bent on not following the same path as his brother.
I don’t think Tobi (or Madara, if it is really him) wants Sasuke’s eyes or his body, since presumably his are good enough. But then again, who knows?
The third theory seems to me to be going a bit too far. I mean, the Bijuu are uncontrolable enough when there’s only one, as we have seen with Naruto and Gaara. I’d assume that if there’s more than one Bijuu inside one body, they would tear it apart from the inside.
rj, what you said about space/time only confirms for me that it’s a technique and not an element. I believe the sixth element is magntism or gravity. But that’s just me …
In regards to how space/time works in theory, differs when you’re refering to instanteous travel. Time seems to slow down or stand still the faster you move, it has nothing to do with space, other than the amount of ground you covered. The warping of space can get you to a location almost instantly or quicker than if you went the normal way, but only if you punch through it like a wormhole or blackhole.

I think Tobi’s gonna kidnap Sasuke and use him as bait to trap Naruto. Sasuke will see that he’s no match for Tobi, and Tobi will take Sasuke under his wing to teach him what Madara has taught him.

the only reason why Sasuke won over Itachi is that:
1. Itachi was almost blind because of his MS and it takes much on your body too.
2. Itachi was just after Orochimaru.

Because if he was after Sasuke eyes, he could have killed him easily with the Amaterasu or Susanoo then take Sasukes eyes , .. And Itachi knew that Orochimaru didnt die when he tried to steal Sasuke bodys , . (Orochimaru tried to take over Itachis body but Itachi overcame him and then Orochimaru left Akatsuki) .. and i think Orochimaru had the 8tailed beast inside him , thats because Itachi sealed him in his Susanoo.
And Tobi is not Madara, if he is .. then where the heck is his eyes? .. Madara never lost to the 1th or 2nd hokages .. he punched the 1th in the chest and broke his armor then the hokages retreated back to the village and then they never saw Madara anymore but then Madara came back and summoned the kyuubi to attack konoha ..

I just watched Naruto Shippuuden episode 52, and watched the part where the part where the Kyuubi told Sasuke not to kill Naruto because he would live to regret it.
I’m sure people have talked, and theorized about this before, but i wasn’t there to hear it. I think it has to do with Sasuke regreting getting the Mangekyou Sharingan.
Or if he kills Naruto, the Kyuubi will be freed and would try to kill Sasuke, but why would he be mad at Sasuke for freeing him? So its probably not that one.
It could be that if he kills Naruto, the Kyuubi will die as well, and maybe the Kyuubi was hinting that Sasuke will need the Kyuubi’s powers sometime in the future.
My last theory is that killing Naruto would have something to do with Madara, and the Kyuubi was actually trying to help Sasuke stay away from Madara, but I have no clue why. Maybe it isn’t as bad as we think. Afterall Madara was the one who made it attach Konoha.

I thought Madra lost but lived, I had an insane thought but what if Madra was dying or under attack (from tobi mabey) and knew that kohana would seal the kyubi into a jinkuri if it attacked kohana and wanted kohana to have the nine-tailed fox because it’s so powerfull and could stop whoever was killing him from getting it.

It seems like everybody keeps forgetting what itachi said when he fought sasuke. He told him that madara is only a fraction of his former self and not that shonbi from legend anymore that is why he was gonna surpass him. This should help some of your theories out.
In my theory tobi could be an uchiha survivor, Madra’s brother, or the decendant of an angry-exiled-uchiha clansmen that awakened his sharingan heritage. I dont realy know

as what i understand, the technique can only be done by utilizing your unique chakra…the chakra is classified to different elements( fire, earth, water, wind, lightning)…in short we call it elemental chakra…but there are still a lot to be revealed with the other properties and characteristics of chakra…
the techniques are very relevant to the chakra possessed by the user…
that is why i ask how it happens tobi can do a seemingly impossible ninjutsu by simply having a certain amount of chakra…so maybe it is very unique chakra that will allow the user to do such technique with ease(now, im not talking with real science)

as what itachi revealed madara was defeated but not killed…knowing that before the fight at the valley of the end…madara already acquire the EMS…so by then he was madara all along., he is virtually immortal since then..maybe the term tobi was used so madara can hide his true identity…there was no instance in the manga that really madara plunges two eyes of his brother… my theory about this is that madara used only his one eye, because the other one was has been blind long time ago…its possible that only one of his eyes achieved the EMS status since its the only eye that has been transplanted by madaras brothers one eye …my proof is that, madara’s brother is equally as strong as him, maybe by surprise madara plunged one of his brothers eyes, yet when he tried to plunge the second one his brother contradicted…they fought up to the point that madara lost since he was already blind..but his brother dont know the real reason why madara stole one of his eye…
the second is that, obito was already killed, with no indication he developed MS..let say after that fight with the rock ninjas madara conquered obito’s body…how did he manage to change obito’s eye with his? what happen to madar’s real body? how did he revived the life on obito’s body and changing the brain as his own? yet if you are madara, will you abandon your body and change it with a dead one by doing exhaustible process… or simply cover your face and change your personality by just simply mind set? I cant find any explanation why madara should replace his body by obito’s body?
another good point is that, madara is not idiot, if assuming he stole two eyes of his brother and transpalnted them to him, how then he will lost one of these eyes just to get the dead body of obito? its dullness to do such things..he knew that his eyes are his most powerful weapon, so why then he preferred to lost one of it for a change of identity sake!!if assuming this was the purpose of madara, to totally change his identity, why then he chose the dead one not the stronger and alive? why then he reveal himself to other people? was it the way of hiding identity? to whom is he hiding? these are vague questions that in some way can nullify the theory that obito is madara

I know what you’re thinking, you’re like, “what?!?!” I understand that speed does affect space and as you stated, the faster you travel, the more mass increases. But what if speed was not part of the equation?
Picture a piece of string on a table and imagine you are on one end trying to get to the other side. You would need to travel a vast difference to reach your desired goal and that would take a lot of time to do. What if there were a faster way? Enter space “warping”. Warping allows you to travel by “pulling” the desired loaction to you, taking a kind of shortcut to get you there “instantly”. In relation to the string, it would be like taking your fingers and pinching it in the middle, pulling the other side closer and closer until you can cross almost “instantly”. This is also the theory behind wormholes and vortex portals. It’s a dimensional shift, nothing to do with speed. Time itself seems to stand still. Going from point A to point B in the blink of an eye.
True, that science “seems out of bound to explain their techniques” and that this is a work of fiction and entertainment, but being sucked into their world, one tends to look relevence in the real world. I do know this, fiction is based on reality and science fiction is just science unproven.

Mean while, Tobi picked a fight with Tsunade because one of the themes of Naruto is the next generations making up for the mistakes of the previous… Well… the first Hokage of course. And that’s why she will be the one to battle Tobi… But that’s not revealed in the covers… maybe Tobi will try capturing Naruto or Sasuke but it seems that Pein is supposed to be after Naruto… eh…
The other akatsuki members? well… I’m not sure what will happen with them (Konan and Zetsu will probably be the only ones left). I was reading the order from right to left because I thought it was the japanese way.

I will not argue with the idea that in the manga Jiraiya probably wrote the page numbers of his 3 books. But these numbers aren’t arbitrary. I’m sure of it.
207 and 106 may be page numbers instead of chapters which would be like 12 chapters and 5 or 6 chapters… but again I’m not sure because it doesn’t seem to be a uniform code.
And both 15 and 207 are divisible by 3 resulting in 5 and 69. What does that mean? uhh… nothing… BUT we’re closer to cracking the code.
I know has most likely had been said, but what if Tobi is in fact Obito, but is being controlled by Madara from afar. It would explain the Sharnigan not being an EMS. And Madara is using the Mind possession jutsu(i dont think its just a clan jutsu, like ino’s)to control Tobi, and that’s why we see him in different personalities, i.e Goofy and Serious. And it would also explain how Madara is at a fraction of his power, like Itachi said. That’s if it’s Tobi who helped him kill the clan and who is his teacher.

And as for tobi, who ever he is, (this mostly applies for if he is madara or obito,) when we finally see his face, it will probably be horribly scarred, either from the boulder, or the battle with the 1st. I agree that it is to hide his identity, but I also think he has taken such a liking to a mask because of the possible scars now on his face. Just thought I’d add that in.
I never thought of Tobi wearing the mask to cover up scars. That makes sense. I guess Madara being immortal has it’s flaws. Immortality may let you live forever, but, you still can get wounds and what not.
Usually with stuff like this the writer carefully thinks out the plot so its eliptical with no loose ends.

it would be neat if kishi did another Kakashi Gaiden where you see the nine tails attack and Naruto’s father die. Like right before the end of the series, and you see a dark like figure summon the nine tails to attack Kanoha, and that would lead to the final battle.

1.) Naruto has to become the hokage, and Kishi has said that Naruto is not going to be the 6th hokage. that means we have to have Tsunade or step down, and stick around for at least one more hokage’s term. Although there might be another time skip.
2.) There are too many loose ends. The truth behind madara/tobi, secrets about the 4th, naruto’s mom, pein, the sage of 6 paths, the 7 swordsmen of the mist, secrets behind the uchiha massacre, and plenty of others.
3.) There has really only been 2 MAIN villains of the naruto series. Orochimaru, and akatsuki. Most anime’s have plenty of sagas, and villains, (DBZ) before they end. So naruto is due for plenty of more.
Not to mention the fact that it is the hottest manga and anime out. Personally, I think after a couple more seasons, another time skip would be cool to see them as young adults.

I believe that Madara wants Sasuke’s body. For long I had had the felling that Oroshimaru transfer soul jutsu came from something that Madara and Pain has done already. Like taking other people, like obito’s or toby’s body.

I agree that Madara’s brother being alive is plausible. It never shows his brother being dead, and even if it had said something about that, what we saw from that scene was just the information that Itachi knows about it, because it was his genjutsu. He could have been misinformed for all we know.
I would definitely favor that theory. It could mean Madara’s brother is Tobi, and that is why he favors Sasuke so much. He sees the resemblance between what he and Madara had, and Sasuke with Itachi. It might mean Madara died sometime after the fight with the 1st, or that he is still alive as well.
Him and his brother could coexist, because Itachi said that Madara is hiding somewhere in Akatsuki and founded it, but doesn’t say he is Tobi. Tobi could be his brother and Madara could be controlling it from somewhere else. That would explain the theory I heard about two Tobi’s.
However, all this leaves the question of where Obito is in the situation. So even though it is highly unlikely, and I’m not so sure I tilt the scales in its direction, it is feasible that Madara’s brother is somewhere in the situation.

What if Tobi is actually Itachi’s best friend Shisui.. The guy that he said he killed? It’s not too farfetched. His death could have been faked so that the attack on the Uchihas came as a complete surprise. It’s also been seen that you don’t have to kill your best friend to obtain the mangekyou sharingan, as Madara, his brother, and Kakashi did not. Itachi started to change after his acceptance into ANBU, maybe meeting with Shinsui is the reason why he changed. His murder is also a bit of a mystery, sure Itachi did say he killed him to Sasuke, but hey let’s face it, Itachi’s not a very honest person. Just a theory so don’t bash on me.

And Itachi did say that Madara is a shadow of his former self, which could mean that he has lost his ability to activate the mangekyou sharingan.. And possibly the reason why he is so interested in Sasuke because of his potential.

I like your theory nameless. It would make sense, but how would obtaining all the bijuus restore the power to his sharingan. Not to mention if he had one, he would be after a second. So why didn’t he take one of Itachi’s. And if Itachi was too strong for him to, he would look for another one, like the other eye from Obito, the one in Kakashi. So wouldn’t he show more interest in Kakashi just now. I know he is showing a lot of interest in Sasuke, but would that mean, if your theory is correct, that he will ditch his current eye, and take the ones with great potential from Sasuke. Then, once again, how do the bijuu’s come into the situation with restoring the sharingan again. The final technique of the EMS must hide some of these secrets we need answered.

He’s probably only after the eyes with the strongest potential and he believes that Sasuke has those eyes. Perhaps the EMS allows for all 9 bijus to be sealed within one container, and it grants the control over all their powers. No one can say for sure I suppose, but Madara would basically be invincible if that were to happen.
Maybe Madara is planning on setting the tailed beasts loose after he captures all of them, in their true uncontained forms. And he requires the EMS to control all of them. With that much power, he could easily rule the world. And it would be an interesting ending to Naruto also.. A huge battle against the nine bijuus.

“fiction is nonfactual, so can never be proven true today and in the near future…” ah, never say never. Fiction may be non-factual, but in time, it could be proven. There are a lot of technologies available today, that in the past were considered fictional. Microprocessors, Supersonic flights, Space Travel, all of these were at one time, fictional, until science proved them to be a reality.
In regards to Naruto and other anime, there are some things that are just so far-fetched in regards to human ability that they seem fictional, or non-factual as stated. But a lot of these anime are based on exhaggerated legends and myths, which has some basis from real life or facts. Exhaggerated as these abilities may be, there are “masters” that claim to be able to do some extraordinary things, much like in Naruto and DBZ. Recently, levitation has become popular due to illussionist Criss Angel and some of his stunts, but levitation has been around for a long long time. Some martial artists claim they are able to be able to focus their “chakra” to damage their opponents internal organs. As for a shadow clone, there are some mystics who claim they are able to astral project themselves and move objects. Science has yet to properly explain what happens, but fact remains, it happens. But until science proves them as fact, it’s fiction.
my theory on Tobi’s jutsu is merely inter-dimensional travel, not Space/Time. An inter-dimensional shift, wouldn’t be as complicated as building required speed to breakthrough any barriers. It’s as simple as walking through a door and entering another room. So instead of opening a space/time rift, he shifts dimensions, phasing into another reality. Which would also explain why Shino’s bugs stayed where they were and never moved. Because they didn’t know where he went to, they were just as confused as everyone else.
Tachyons, is any particle that travels faster than light, which is still not yet proven (science fiction), but would still not meet the density requirement you spoke of, as Tachyons are considered to be massless particles. However, I believe Tobi’s jutsu is not space/time, but rather “light/dark” or “divine”. Which would mean that he is able to go outside of time. There are things that science cannot explain, things that just “are”.
RJ, thanks once again for your response … and my apologies if I have confused you or others who have taken the time to read my comments … but in regards to Space/Time, it’s tricky because there are a lot of requirements involved as well as consquences, as you stated.but I believe Tobi’s ability is not space/time (IMO), this would mean that anyone with special training or special abilities can use space/time, not just Sharingan users. Meaning that the Fourth’s body flicker is a space/time ability, which was my complaint about this whole thing in the first place. lol. but I enjoy your response and look forward to more =(^_^)=

most everything is fiction. I had a professor that went to a confernce and he told some old lady that he only read non fiction and she said “my child, it’s all fiction.” Thus, stories are what you make of them being precieved through the lense of the person telling it… or putting their spin on it or whatever.

I love Avatar the Last airbender… do you know when it comes back on? And I believe there has been talk of things that travel faster than the speed of light. The speed of light was supposed to be Einstein’s speed limit for the universe but Quantum Mechanics doesn’t follow the rule?/ I think if we have some physicist now is the time to jump in. I agree with everything you said about magicians and mystics and such… but physically being able to have tobi re appear somewhere else is kinda hard to replicate but not impossible.
I think in the Universe in a Nutshell steven Hawkins talks about Quantum Mechanics and that there are multiple pasts and time is an illusion because of probability and uh… I lost my thought. It’s kinda like if you play Xenosaga. The cycle keeps going of your birth and death because the universe doesn’t know time.
But einstein weise… if you control space than you also control time… right? eh…
I would imagine this is the most difficult “element” to controll and that’s why people’s space time jutsu’s usually stick to summons because doing anything else might land you somewhere else completely. .. like outer space.
and… if tobi is obito it would make sense because he would have improved the 4ths jutsu which was his teacher anyway.
So naruto isn’t going to learn or master the thunder god thing because Tobi already did. I think we all knew kishimoto was going to bring back the 4ths jutsu, but who knew it would be a bad guy that mastered it.

its so simple people,tobi is obito. the 4th sealed mardara in a battle but like the # and oro he did not seal him completely. to use his sharigan and other jutsu had had to find a body with a sharigan and found obito..thats the only reason he would give up his body.but obito mody is not nearly as powerful as his ild body, hence what itachi said ( only a shell) in your face!!!!!
ok ppl im sure that most of us have already seen ch.396.i have a few questions.first some ppl seem to think its obito and not madara.and u kno what,im am or atleast was totally down with that.but from my observations after tobi takes his mask off,it has to be non other than madara.why… u say.because if u look back to when jiraiya spoke of madara being able to summon the kyuubi,when we saw madara he had like puffy eyelids.when itachi spoke of the clan secrets,and how madara and his brother where equal.when next to his brother u can tell them apart by their eyelids.now when he takes off his mask u can see he has puffy eyelids.and one extra line for aging

usually i fully understand every slide in the naruto manga.but i do not understand the slide when kakashi activates his MS.for what purpose did he activate it? was it to get rid of the flames.i mean yamato already split the forest.i wonder what name kakashi has 4 his MS jutsu,sisnce he knows the characteristics of amaterasu ?
I think maybe kakashi activated his ms to copy amaterasu, i mean it is possible right and also it could explain how he managed that first technique also.
