This post is to explain the Ranking system on Shannaro!!! and to provide some answers to FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) on the site:
Ranks: Your rank is the title in the brackets to the right of your username. Each rank is also accompanied by a mini logo. The current rank ladder is: (note that new ranks can be added at any time)

Some FAQs:
Q: How do I increase my rank?
A: By participating in discussions on the blog, that is, by commenting. I won’t reveal exactly how rank advancement is calculated, but it depends on how long you’ve been a registered member of the blog, and how many comments you’ve made.
Q: So to increase my rank, all I have to do is make lots of comments right?
A: That’s correct, but remember that Shannaro!!! thrives on good and thoughtful comments that add to the discussions. Please do not comment just for the sake of increasing your rank, that is called spamming (example: short and pointless comments). Spammers will first get a warning (see’ Spam-a-lot’ rank) and repeat offenders may have their accounts suspended or banned. If you really have the urge to chat, go to the Shoutbox.
Q: Hey! How come my rank hasn’t gone up yet?
A: Naruto didn’t become a Genin in one day, so be patient and keep participating in discussions and you’ll become Kage some day.
Q: My rank went back to Newbie, what happened?
A: It’s most likely because you didn’t login when you commented or because you typed in a different username. The rank system will treat you as a new user in this case and assign a rank of ‘Newbie.’ If you switch to a new username/nickname, your rank will not follow with you.
