Naruto’s Parents’ Identities
It’s been confirmed in the latest Naruto chapter, 367, that Naruto Uzumaki is indeed the son of the Fourth Hokage. Tsunade and Jiraiya divulged this information during their conversation before Jiraiya heads out to infiltrate the Land of Rain. It was revealed that Minato Namikaze is the actual name of the Fourth Hokage.
Namikaze (波風) contains the characters for ‘wave’ and ‘wind’, and could indicate the Fourth was also a Wind chakra user and passed it on to his son, Naruto. According to Jiraiya, Minato was a shinobi genius amongst geniuses. Jiraiya described Minato as a nice kid, yet had the fiercest desire to succeed he had ever seen (remind you of anyone?). Even though he was a young student of Jiraya’s, Minato surpassed everyone to become the Fourth Hokage of Konoha.
Naruto’s mother was (is?) Kushina Uzumaki, a female ninja from the former Whirlpool Country. Tsunade says that Naruto’s ninjutsu style and personality are all exactly like Kushina’s. She apparently was a tomboy, had red hair and a was a jabber mouth. Tsunade described her as a beautiful woman when she grew up, but admits that Naruto definitely resembles his father more.
So there you have it, the big secret is out. Some questions still remain though.
- Why does Naruto share her mother’s last name, Uzumaki, and not his father’s, Namikaze?
- What happened to the former Whirlpool Country? Does it have anything to do with the turmoil occurring in the Land of Water? Example: the Mist Village missing nin, Country of Rain civil war.
- Is Naruto’s mother alive? If so, why did she abandon her son in Konoha?

Its some what odvious that the forth hokage was his dad i mean same color and style of hair and same color of eyes. Pluss he’s the one who put the kyuubi in him also. But i do wonder who’s his mom and hou she looks like.

well, it’s not like he had any other choice. He couldn’t just go up to some other family with a baby and be like, “Hey, can I use your kid to seal a terrible monster in?”

Well the reason why his dad put the kyuubi in him was because he thought people would reconize him as the boy who saved the village but people didn’t think it that way at all. Wow what beaches.

Heh… Anyone with eyes noticed that Naruto looks exactly like the Fourth, so this ’spoiler’ was not really a spoiler. His mother is the real mystery.

The Jutsu used by the 4th hokage to seal Kyubi didn’t have to kill him. I mean Naruto didn’t die because he didn’t do the Jutsu and the 4th didn’t take Kyubi in him he could be alive. But then why would he not raise his son?
On Wikipedia, it said that Minato died as a side effect of the jutsu. When they say that, it gives the impression that Minato intentionally planned on raising his son but didn’t expect to die from the side effect.
And the reason why Naruto has his momma’s surname instead of his dad’s is because he’s a bastard child. All bastard children, even today, take their mother’s last name.

No that is not true about the Bastard children see most children born out of wedlock have to remain with the mother because she did give birth.But usually if the couple is still together than th child’s last name belongs to the father. But it never says anywhere that Naruto’s parents were married.
i just check and it does not say that and my cousin had a child and stayed with his girl and the last name of the child is father last name.and now he’s married to her.so your wrong and anyone can put info on wikipedia.
The reason that Naruto’s surname is Uzumaki and not Namikaze is most likely because Minato had many enemies from the Land Of The Whirlpool,
so Koshina’s name was used to protect Naruto from enemies outside of the villiage

there’s this rumor going around that pein (the leader of those bad people) is a girl. She might just be naruto’s mom. she has red hair and jairiya did say that she looked as though she was one of the boys. she may have been pretty but power can do some ugly things to people.

The Third originally had wanted Orochimaru to be the Fourth Hokage, but he went all evil so Jiraiya’s student, Minato Namikze AKA Yellow Flash, was chosen instead. Then the Kyuubi came along and started killing people and being a total ass. So Minato, now the Fourth Hokage, sealed him inside his son, Naruto, then croaked for some reason. With the new Hokage dead, the Third came out of retirement and took up the job again. If you ask me, they should have just picked Kakashi as the new Hokage, but then again he likely rejected the offer.
if they fight itachi will win he can kill oro at full power if he wanted to. and susake is not ready, he just might get close
You know come to think of it only itachi would know of naruto’s demon otherwise. i mean he just got there so they probably wouldn’t listen to him. and who else but his mom would know? Jiraya said “a few years ago they split up in pairs to look for power sources” or something like that. so itachi will still have been a noob. so who else would be able to tell them where to go? and this all comes back to Pien =ing Nauto’s Mom.

Im Thinking Naruto’s Mother is dead, and by Dead i mean murdered and murdered i mean by the Fourth herself i mean isnt it clear that Naruto was well was no baby when he was used as the host to seal the Fox’s spirit he didnt look so YOUNg >> i mean he looked like he was 2 or so.
Still im guessing Naruto’s Mother died by the Fourth’s hand because she probably refused to let her son be used as a sacrifice for the village i mean its only natural all mothers would want to protect their children with their LIVES, and since she didnt belong to Konoha i could guess that she didnt care much bout the village to let her son be use as a sacrifice so im guessing Minato had no choice but to kill her himself as the fact the very own Ninja of Konoha had a though time holding her back not to mention killing the 4ths Wife, so im guessing he killed her, and if Minato died im guessing 2nd thought that it wasnt because of the seal taking his life too but because she probably stood one last time and killed him in the process, because its weird the way that Jutsu worked, very different than what Sarutobi Sandaime did to Orochimaru’s arms so yeah.

ok my evidence when the 3rd used the same seal on orochimaru he could only use that seal on himself he cudnt trap inside any1 else the big death thingy (my memry is bad on tht episode) dragged it in2 the 3rd surely meaning that the same would of happened to the fourth?

Why did i heard somewhere on the web that rumors were that Pein wasnt the MAIN leader that he was just the LEADER of that 10 ninja we already know, i’ve heard on the rumors someone saying that the main leader was a Demon still unknown but its someone that has 5 subordinates and Pein is one of them with his 10 Shinobi including Konan and the other 4 are still unknown and and have their own 10 Shinobi lol maybe the Fourth is one of those subordinates with his own 10 Shinobi squad lol
