465 - The Attack on the Meeting Place
Gaara and the
others watch as Sasuke’s Susanoo raises its sword. As Sasuke
grins, Susanoo smashes into one of the main pillars of the
room
and causes the entire roof to start to collapse.
Everyone scramble to safety as the ceiling caves in. Karin is
also caught in the collapse, but Sasuke uses Susanoo to grab her throw
her to safety violently. Coldly, Sasuke asks Karin to guide
him to Danzo. Karin points out that Suigetsu and Jugo are still alive,
but Sasuke seems only to care about finding Danzo.
In the collapsed room, Gaara used his sand to
shield his team and the Raikage’s team also managed to survive
unharmed. Suigetsu is no longer paralyzed, but is too weak to
 maintain
his solid form and eyes the armor of a nearby dead
samurai. Jugo is in worse shape, he is on the brink of death
and is forced to drain the
sustenance of a nearby samurai to keep
himself alive.
Meanwhile, Sasuke has reached the meeting room
and appears from the roof. Immediately he is attacked by
Mifune with a sword strike. Sasuke blocks, but in the distraction Danzo
has escaped with his bodyguards. Ao is the first to give
chase after Danzo  and
asks the Mizukage to deal with Sasuke. As Sasuke
and Karin rush to pursue Danzo, they are stopped by a sudden volley of
acid.
The source of the attack was the Mizukage who has
used her kekkei genkai ability called Yoton no Jutsu (acid element).
She recognizes Sasuke’s handsomeness but regrets that she’ll need to
stop him because he is part of Akatsuki. Sasuke readies his Mangekyou
Sharingan for another kage battle.
