MenuCHAPTER 418 - Naruto the Sage 
Naruto has finally achieved the feat of keeping perfectly
still just as Fukasaku had instructed. As Nature’s
energy begins to be drawn into his body, Fukasaku looks on pleased that
Naruto is doing this without the help of the oil. Naruto
focuses all the energy within his own body. In that instant,
he has finally mastered the transformation into Sage mode; Fukasaku
confirms that the dark pigmentation
around his eyes as evidence of this. What’s even more amazing
is that Naruto has not transformed into a frog one bit and is drawing
in more energy than he was able to with the special oil.Naruto says that he truly does feel like he is one with nature. A small bird flies by and lands on his shoulder, causing Naruto to lose balance and plummet to the ground. Fukasaku does not catch him this time because he knows a fall like that will not hurt Naruto while he is Sage mode. Indeed, when Naruto hits the ground, he is perfectly fine. Fukasaku explains that while in the Sage form, his body has been activated in a number of ways to make it stronger and tougher. He tells Naruto that it is 
time to start the final stage of their training - to learn a fighting
style which utilizes the Senjutsu chakra created inside his body: the
art of Kamazu Kumite.A group of four Cloud ninja silently approaches the ruins where Sasuke’s team had been hiding. They use explosive tags to blow 
their way in, only to find the place abandoned. They discover
Jay’s (the ninja caught by Sasuke last chapter) bruised
corpse in a corner.After a whole day’s training with Fukasaku to learn the Kamazu Kumite, Naruto continues his training into the night while Fukasaku is sleeping. While in Sage mode, Naruto has been trying to  perfect
a special jutsu of his own. Naruto is doing this in secrecy
so that no one knows what he is trying to do.Back in Konoha, Shikamaru, Sakura and Shiho sit down in the cryptography room to try to decipher the meaning of Jiraiya’s message: “The real one isn’t with them.” Shikamaru toys with the idea that all of the Peins Jiraiya was fighting could 
have been using genjutsu and that the female Akatsuki member was the
one who launched the real attacks while the others hid her.
But Sakura points out that Fukasaku had said that Jiraiya was
physically stabbed by all six of the Peins at once. Genjutsu
could explain how the three Peins Jiraiya had killed came back to life,
but such a complex genjutsu is too
farfetched for what the enemy was trying to accomplish.
However, Shikamaru remembers back to Hidan and Kakuzu and says that the
normal rules don’t always apply when it comes to Akatsuki.Inside a special interrogation chamber, Ibiki has called in Inoichi Yamananka, Ino’s father, to attempt to use genjutsu to read the captured Rain ninja’s mind. Inoichi discovers a powerful genjutsu 
shield planted inside the mind of the ninja. Ibiki suspects
it must have been done by Pein and cautions Inoichi to proceed with
caution as he could have left behind genjutsu traps as well.
In another examination room, Shizune and her medical team continue
their autopsy of the Pein’s body Jiraiya had
killed. They have extracted the black rod-shaped material
from his body and are carefully examining it down to the microscopic
level.
