MenuCHAPTER 415 - A New Power 
Sasuke lets lose the power of his Amaterasu upon the
Eight-Tails
bull demon at full force. The beast is engulfed in the pitch
black flames and howls out in agony. It attempts to put them
out
by rolling in the water, but the Amaterasu flames cannot be put out so
easily.  Sasuke cringes as he feels a sudden pain from the eye he activated his Mangekyou Sharingan in. He is distracted and cannot see one of the Eight-Tails giant tentacles whipping down upon him. Karin does see it coming and gets everyone out of the way, but she used too much force and finds herself sliding across the water, right into the path of another of the tentacles. 
Sasuke acts fast and saves Karin by cutting the
tentacle
with his Chidori blade. But the Eight-Tails continues to
thrash
in the water and his body crashes into Karin and part of the Amaterasu
flames transfers onto her. Karin is thrust onto land but is
knocked unconscious and helpless as the flames of the Amaterasu now
consume her body. Sasuke wants to help, but Jugo tells him
there’s nothing more they can do for her. Feeling
desperate, Sasuke tries to save Karin by activating the Mangekyou
Sharingan in his other eye. Amazingly, it works and puts out
the
Amaterasu burning on Karin’s back. Another wave of
pain
hits Sasuke but he is able to quickly shrug it off and tells Jugo to
get Karin out of harm’s way. 
Jugo recovers their teammate and confirms that
the flames
are definitely out. Sasuke can hardly believe it himself, he
wonders if this is the true power of his Mangekyou Sharigan.
Sasuke tries it again, this time at putting out the Amaterasu consuming
the Eight-Tails. It works and a severely burnt but alive
Jinchuuriki lies in the water. Sasuke and Jugo grab the
Jinchuuriki and carry him off along with Suigetsu and Karin.
Jugo
comments that the Mangekyou Sharingan must take a lot out of Sasuke
especially since he no longer has Orochimaru’s Cursed Seal
and he
is not fully healed from the battle with Itachi. Sasuke
admits he
didn’t think they would have such a hard time on this
mission. From a distance away, two Cloud ninja have been watching the scene carefully. They recognize the intruder’s Akatsuki uniforms but also notice a Uchiha crest on Sasuke’s clothes. They decide that this  information must be relayed
back
to the Raikage immediately, especially since the Eight-Tails
Jinchuuriki is his little brother. Meanwhile at toad mountain, Naruto has officially mastered the use of the special toad oil to draw in nature’s energy into his body. Fukakasu tells Naruto that unlike conventional ninjutsu which consumes the body’s chakra, sanjutsu takes natural energy from outside the body; so rather than getting more tired, one actually recovers more quickly. Naruto feels the strength building inside him and tells himself that maybe he can now do “it.” Fukasaku decides to reward Naruto by giving him a special book.
