413 - Crash
Sasuke makes a rapid charge towards the
Eight-Tails
Jinchuuriki, but he has already begun to transform.
Evil-looking
chakra begin to bubble up from the Jinchuuriki’s entire body
and
covers him in a chakra cloak. Sasuke immediately recognizes
this
type of transformation as the same thing Naruto did during their battle
at the Valley of the End.
In the blink of an eye, the Jinchuuriki launches
himself
into the air to attack Sasuke head-on. Sasuke is able to
skilfully dodge the strike by kicking off the Jinchuuriki’s
back
and rolling to safety. The Jinchuuriki is impressed because
no
one other than his own brother has been able to defect his attacks in
his “Number Eight” form. But instead of
turning
around to go after Sasuke again, the Jinchuuriki keeps moving
forward. Sasuke realizes that the
Jinchuuriki is planning on taking out Jugo, Karin and
Suigetsu.
Jugo immediately grabs his teammates and narrowly avoids being crushed
by the Jinchuuriki by propelling away using a pressurized blast formed
using his cursed seal ability.
The humongous blast tears a hole right through the side of
the
mountain and throws everyone into the caverns of Lightning Gorge - the
Jinchuuriki’s training grounds. Luckily, everyone
is okay
although shook up. Sasuke recognizes that their enemy has
unparalleled speed and power, but fortunately he only moves in straight
lines, so he is trackable using the Sharingan. Sasuke directs
Karin to keep tracing the Eight-Tail’s chakra so as to
anticipate
his movements. The Jinchuuriki bursts into the caverns and
tells
Sasuke it’s no use because there’s no way he can
keep
up.
But as the Jinchuuriki approaches, Sasuke activates his
Mangekyou Shaingan to paralyze him in a genjutsu. The
Jinchuuriki
collapses to the ground next to Sasuke. Thinking he has
subdued
the target, Sasuke covers his eye and lets his guard down. It
is
a fatal mistake because the Jinchuuriki immediately recovers and
clotheslines Sasuke in the chest. As everyone watches in
shock,
Sasuke is sent hurling backwards with an explosion of
blood from his upper torso.
Jugo rushes over quickly to break
Sasuke’s
fall. Karin runs over and sees just how severely Sasuke has
been
injured; most of his neck and all of his chest have been completely
blown away. Karin wants Sasuke to bite into her body again to
heal his wounds, but Jugo tells her that she doesn’t have
enough
chakra left for this. Thinking back to Kimimaro
Kaguya’s
last words about how Sasuke was like
his reincarnation, Jugo has makes up his mind to save Sasuke at all
costs. He begins to fuse himself with Sasuke’s body
in
order to give him some his own flesh and chakra. Jugo explains that
this will work because Sasuke has already shown that he is compatible
with the Cursed Seal.
In the mean time, the Jinchuuriki begins to
transform
even further as his skins begins flaking off. He explains that he was
able to break Sasuke’s genjutsu because his partner snapped
him
out of it. That partner, of course, is the beast demon inside
of
him. He then begins his monstrous transformation into his true state -
a giant creature which is a hybrid between an ox and an
octopus.
He declares that only disillusionment and destruction awaits everyone.
