MenuCHAPTER 388 - The Difference in Power 
Sasuke screams in pain and clenches the wound in
his left eye as blood drips to the ground. Itachi watches
coldly and reiterates what he said before about Sasuke being no match
for him without the Mangekyou Sharingan. Sasuke stares down
at the blood on his hand from his empty eye socket as if still in
disbelief of what Itachi had just done to him.
Itachi glares evilly at Sasuke and says that he
will now take the other eye. This triggers Sasuke’s
rage and he immediately activates his Cursed Seal. But Itachi
leaps away in time to avoid getting mauled by Sasuke’s
wing-like appendage. He then retrieves a small glass
container from his sleeve and drops Sasuke’s
Sharingan
eyeball into the fluid inside. Itachi closes the lid on the
container and comments to Sasuke that this proves the true gap between
their powers, and the difference between their eyes.
To Sasuk’s surprise, a clone of Itachi
managed to sneak behind him and restrains him. The real
Itachi moves closer and stretches out his bloodied fingers to retrieve
Sasuke’s second eyeball. Sasuke fights back and
activates his Cursed Seal to level 2. As Sasuke fully
transforms, Itachi is forced to halt when he witnesses the pupil of
Sasuke’s
Sharingan suddenly dilate until they touched the
tomoes. At the same time, Sasuke summons snakes
from his body to attack Itachi. Itachi puts a stop to
Sasuke;s resistance by finally using his Tsukuyomi on him.
Now inside his own dimension, Itachi attempts to retrieve
Sasuke’s Sharingan again. But to his surprise, his
dimension begins to  crack
and fragment until it is entirely dispelled.Back in reality, Sasuke clutches his left eye and confirms that it is indeed still there. He collapses to his knees and pants in exhaustion. Observing from the roof, the white side of Zetsu believes that Itachi has won because Sasuke won’t be able to move after experiencing Itachi’s Tsukuyomi. But 
Zetsu is left speechless when Itachi drops to
his knees too, clutching his own eye. It is Sasuke
who gets to his feet first, wearing a wide smirk on his face.
Zetsu’s black half realizes that Sasuke didn’t get
hit by the Tsukuyomi, but instead resisted and overcame its
effects. Zetsu’s other half is confused by how
someone without the Mangekyou can defeat someone who has it.
The black half of Zetsu explains that the Sharingan is just another
tool for a shinobi, and a tool is only as powerful as the skill of the
user. In short, Itachi had underestimated Sasuke’s
potential to master the Sharingan.
