MenuCHAPTER 384 - Two Roads 
Sasuke makes a sideways swipe at Itachi’s head,
but Itachi counters it swiftly by hitting his hand with the hilt end of
a kunai. Itachi flips his kunai around to make a direct stab
at his Sasuke. Sasuke partially  unsheathes
his sword to block the blow. The brothers stare down each
other as their weapons grind.It is Itachi who breaks the stalemate by moving closer and grabbing hold of Sasuke. He then leaps up, using Sasuke’s half-drawn sword as a foothold to launch himself over Sasuke. Sasuke is thrown off balance but fully draws his sword to take a slice at Itachi in mid-air. But Itachi evades the attack by grabbing the back of Sasuke’s cloak and 
using it as a fulcrum to completely rotate behind Sasuke. Itachi plants
his feet to the ground and yanks Sasuke from behind, throwing him
violently into the ground and causing him to lose his sword.
Sasuke recovers quickly and glares angrily at his brother.
He performs the rapid succession of hand seals to activate his
Chidori. Sasuke makes a direct dash at Itachi, picking up his
sword along the way. But a few feet before making contact
with his target, Sasuke slams his hand to the ground to activate his
Chidori Current. The electrical current expands rapidly
through the ground and advance on Itachi’s
position. Itachi jumps into the air to avoid the jutsu, but
this is exactly what Sasuke anticipated. Using Body Flicker,
Sasuke instantly moves forward and thrusts his sword into
Itachi’s chest.
The two of them crash to the ground with Sasuke keeping his
sword firmly pressed into Itachi. Itachi tells Sasuke that he
has grown much stronger. Sasuke responds that this is the
end, but he has one last question to ask
before making the killing blow. Itachi doesn’t
answer but only raise his right hand up in front of Sasuke’s
face. He extends his index and middle fingers and makes a
motion for Sasuke to look towards the throne. Sasuke glances
over and sees that the real Itachi has never left the throne.
The Itachi beneath him was made using genjutsu and disperses into black
crows. Sasuke realizes that Itachi used the exact trick on
him in the cave while saying the same line.
Itachi tells Sasuke that the end is a long ways
off. However, he is willing to listen to Sasuke and answer
his questions. Sasuke asks Itachi if he has gone
deaf. In the next instant, Sasuke’s blade plunges
through the back of the stone throne to pierce Itachi squarely through
the chest. Sasuke had learned from their last encounter and
had been hiding behind the throne in case Itachi used genjutsu again.
