MenuCHAPTER 380 - That Face  Upon seeing the six bodies
that Pein has summoned, Jiraiya immediately
recognizes one of them (Pein’s first body) as that of an
older Yahiko. Jiraiya is confused because Pein had clearly
said that Yahiko had died a long time ago. Pein is surprised that
Jiraiya can still recognize Yahiko’s body, but reaffirms to
Jiraiya that Yahiko is indeed dead.Jiraiya yells back and demands to know how Yahiko could possibly obtain the Rinnegan. Pa toad asks Jiraiya what this is about and 
Jiraiya tells him about Yahiko being one of his former
students. But Yakiho never possessed the Rinnegan when he
trained him; Jiraiya is sure that Nagato was the only one who had the
Rinngean. Yet, after looking at all six bodies in front of
him, none of them bears any resemblance to the Nagato Jiraiya
knew. Jiraiya asks the one who looks like Yahiko to tell him
who he really is. His only reply is “We are Pain,
we are god!” All six members of Pein’s team leap
down to attack Jiraiya.Back in Konoha, Tsunade looks out of her office and complains that the rain won’t stop. Shizune knows what is really bothering Tsunade and assures her that someone of Jiraiya’s calibre will make it back safe and sound. Tsunade responds that Jiraiya won’t make it back. She turns to Shizune with a grin and it explains that she had betted on Jiraiya not making it back, but with her rotten luck she always loses her bets. She thinks back to what Jiraiya had said about “men not meant to pursue happiness” before he left. She  chuckles and comments that Jiraiya is always
trying
to act cool. Tsuande says that if Jiraiya makes it back
alive, he won’t have to act that way around her anymore.Sasuke and the rest of Team Hebi head towards the old Uchiha hideout. Karin suddenly detects an enormous amount of chakra heading their way. Everyone stops immediately when a figure in Akatsuki robes leaps out in front of them. It is Kisame and he tells Sasuke to continue on to Itachi by himself. It was Itachi’s instructions that Kisame and the others would wait while he and Sasuke met. Sasuke has no  objections
because he had intended to confront Itachi without interference
anyways. Karin voices her objection and suggests they kick
Kisame’s butt and go fight Itachi together. Kisame
comments that even though he is not in the mood for another fight so
soon, he won’t go easy on them if they attempt to pass
together. Itachi turns to his team and tells them to wait
here because this is his revenge.After Sasuke passes by Kisame, Suigetsu greets Kisame and tells him he is Suigetsu Houzuki, Mangetsu Houzuki’s little brother. Kisame smiles in surprise and says he didn’t even recognize  Suigetsu because he has grown so
much. Suigetsu grips his sword and asks Kisame to have a
little fun with him in order to kill some time while waiting for Sasuke
and Itachi. Kisame lifts his Samehada and says
he’ll gladly shave a few layers off Suigetsu. Jugo
reminds Suigetsu that he’s ignoring Sasuke’s
orders. Karin thinks to herself that Jugo should at least
show some backbone in this situation.The Uchiha hideout is a large complex built into a cone shaped hill. Deep inside its chambers, Sasuke confronts his brother Itachi. Itachi sits casually in a throne chair, behind him is a large drape with the kanji character for “fox” surrounded by several tomoes. He asks Sasuke what does he see with his Sharingan.  As the eight-man team from
Konoha traverse
through a forest, they are
met by Tobi. As always, Tobi jokes about
finding a bunch of
Leaf ninja way out here and complains that eight on one is not
fair. Yamato recognizes from the cloak that Tobi is from
Akatsuki, but Kakashi comments that he doesn’t match
the list
of Akatsuki members
Kabuto left for them. Tobi explains
that’s because he is new to the
organization and greets
everyone. Kiba yells back at Tobi to not get so cocky because
they haven’t even started fighting yet. Kakashi
cautions everyone to not make any sudden moves and to observe their
enemy for now, even though they have him severely
outnumbered. Tobi whines that they’re not taking
him seriously. Sakura remains silent but vigilant, but she is
annoyed that the Akatsuki always show up every time they try to find
Sasuke. But Naruto isn’t one
to hold still for very
long and at that moment, he has already sneaked a Shadow Clone behind
Tobi. Naruto’s clone attacks Tobi from behind with
a Rasengan at the ready. Tobi seems to have been caught off
guard and is hit in the back by the attack. He screams in
pain, but was really only toying with Naruto as he and his Rasengan
pass through Tobi’s body like it wasn’t there at
all.At the Uchiha hideout, Sasuke walks steadily closer to his brother and answers his question. Sasuke states that with power he has gained, he is able to see one thing crystal clear now. He sees Itachi… dead.
