MenuCHAPTER 368 - Reconnaissance
After delivering his message, Itachi’s crows
disperse and leave behind a shower of black feathers. Sasuke
can do nothing and is left to ponder on Itachi’s request for
him to come to the Uchiha hideout. The other members of Team
Hebi rush in because Karin sensed someone else’s
chakra. Sasuke orders them to follow him and move
out.A hooded Jiraiya walks through the streets of the Hidden Village of the Rain amidst a heavy downpour. In one of the high towers, Pein steps onto a ledge and tells Konan to use her jutsu to find the intruder once he stops the  rain. He
performs a series of hand seals and finishes with the Snake
seal. Konan readies herself to initiate her own technique. On one of the lower levels of the city, two shinobis walk through the heavy rain. One of them suggests they get something to drink, but the other says that there aren’t any decent bars in these low level slums. The two are about to head to the upper levels when they spot a sign for “Club Frog” advertising an all you can drink special.  They count themselves lucky
for finding such a
great deal and enter the oddly shaped building. Inside, they
are greeted by a white haired bartender with a large
moustache. After orders some drinks and snacks, the two
shinobis sit down and start talking. They converse about how
it’s weird that it’s raining today because it
usually never rains unless it is Sunday. One of them thinks
Pein must have a good reason to be using so much of his powers. The
other complains that it’s practically a hurricane out there,
but his friend tells him to put up with it because Pein must be doing
it for the sake of the village.The bartender tells them their order’s up, but puts nothing on the table. He tells the two that they are having a special celebration because it is their grand opening  today. The shinobi get excited about
being so lucky but
quickly pull back in alarm when the bartender transforms into
Jiraiya. However, the two Rain ninja don’t seem to
recognize Jiraiya; they draw their
kunai and demand for his identify. Jiraiya replies that he
will be the one asking the
questions. The screams of the two shinobis are heard as the
entire building begins to morph and shrink into a frog’s
form. After the transformation is complete, the frog is no
more than half a foot high; it leaps towards the river and jumps in.With the rain completely stopped, Pein tells Konan to begin. First, Konan’s face begins peeling into layers of paper. Soon, this process spreads to the rest of her  body until her entire form is reduced to
hundreds of sheets of
origami paper. As they float through the air, each sheet
folds itself into the shape of a paper butterfly and spreads
out
through the city. 
Jiraiya has the two shinobi captured and has
their arms and feet engulfed by the membranous wall and
floor. He tells them that they are trapped inside the stomach
of his frog. Because they drew their kunais, Jiraiya confirms
that they are ninja, albeit low level foot soldier types. One
of the Rain ninja remains defiant and demands for Jiraiya’s
identity. But Jiriaya pulls out a feather and repeats to him
that he will be asking the questions. He suggests that the
two of them start cooperating unless they want to laugh themselves to
death. Jiriaya gets to the point and asks them to starting
talking about their leader, Pein.
