Naruto walks into the open and faces
Itachi. He asks if Itachi is here to capture him, but Itachi
replies that he is only here to talk. At that moment, two of
Naruto’s clones leap down from the trees behind Itachi and
try to catch him off guard. But without even looking behind,
Itachi draws two kunai from his sleeves and pierces both clones in the
air. Naruto tells Itachi there’s no way he can
trust him just like that. Naruto remembers Chiyo’s
advice that said when fighting the Sharingan, you  need a second person
to take the enemy from behind. Naruto averts his gaze from
Itachi’s eyes but also remembers that Itachi can capture him
in his genjutsu with a single finger after he makes the right hand seal.Itachi commends Naruto on learning how to properly fight a Sharingan user, but asks him why he doesn’t flee since he is alone. Naruto declares he can be one person or, just as easily, be a thousand. Besides, Naruto  believes
if he can capture Itachi, then Sasuke will come to him.
Itachi is speechless for a second, and then asks Naruto why he is so
obsessed with his little brother, especially since he has betrayed
Konoha. Naruto replies that, unlike Itachi, he at least
thinks of Sasuke as a brother.
Naruto charges Itachi straight on, but Itachi
lifts his cloak to unleash a flock of crows at him. Naruto is forced to
halt and suddenly realizes he is already trapped in Itachi’s
genjutsu. As he is suspended in the air, some of the crows in
the surroundings merge into Itachi’s form. He tells
Naruto one more time that he only wishes to speak with him.
In Konoha, Jiraiya knocks on the door to
Tsunade’s office and enters. He brings with him
valuable information – Jiraiya knows the location of
Akatsuki’s leader. Tsunade is astounded and asks
him to tell her everything. Jiraiya tells her to slow down,
but Tsunade reminds him that this is crucial information and not like
one of his perverted books which can be approached leisurely.
Yet Jiraiya responds that they shouldn’t rush into something
this major and asks Tsunade to join him for a drink. Tsunade
becomes angry and declares that there’s no way she, as the
Hokage, can go get drunk this early in the day when all the other
shinobi are still on duty.A short time later, Tsunade is sitting at a pub with Jiraiya, bottle in hand and already half drunk. Jiraiya tells her she could at least listen to her own advice 
sometimes. Tsunade confirms with Jiraiya what he had told her
- the leader of Akatsuki is in the Hidden Village of the
Rain. But it would be difficult to get to him because the
Rain village maintains high security constantly and is strict about who
enters or leaves, even when they host the Chuunin Exam. On
the other hand, Tsunade wonders how someone as powerful as the Akatsuki
leader can operate without restraint in the Rain village.
Jiraiya explains that because of Rain’s security, it has been
able to conceal one of its greatest internal conflicts from the outside
world. That conflict is a civil war within the village that
has been waged for quite some time now. The Rain ninja are
divided between two factions and the Akatsuki leader is the head of one
of them.Tsunade recounts that the Country of Rain is bordered by the major countries of Fire, Wind and Earth. It has often been used as a battleground for the other countries in the past and has never been internally stable, especially with a large influx of refugees. Jiraiya wants to infiltrate the village to find out if his  information is indeed correct. Tsunade
objects because it is too dangerous, but Jiraiya reminds her that, like
herself, he is also one of the Sannin of Konoha. Tsunade
looks away and apologizes to Jiraiya for always getting stuck with the
dirty jobs. Jiraiya laughs and asks Tsunade why she is
getting so serious. She tells Jiraiya that the Third Hokage
would have wanted him to become the Fifth Hokage. Jiraiya
says that he prefers life on the road, but Tsunade insists that Jiraiya
has always regretted not being able to stop Orochimaru, so he has been
constantly tracking his former teammate’s
movements. Jiraiya is quiet and then says that there won’t be any need for that anymore. Tsunade
comments that it is hard to believe Orochimaru could actually die and
reminisces about the old time when they were still students under
Sarutobi. Jiraiya says that he can’t believe young,
flat-chested Tsunade has become a big-breasted Hokage of
fifty. He jokes that Tsunade must be keeping her feelings for
the loved ones she’s lost inside her big chest. But
he also states that their duty is to protect and nurture the next
generation of shinobi. For their future, old timers like him
will gladly put their lives on the line. Itachi has released Naruto from his genjutsu. Naruto is confused by Itachi’s actions and asks Itachi why he doesn’t just get on with capturing him. But before Naruto can get a reply, something else catches Itachi’s attention. He tells Naruto that he has an important  matter to attend to and disperses his body into a
flock of crows. Naruto realizes that this Itachi was actually
a Shadow Clone.Sasuke walks carefully deeper into the Akatsuki hideout. As he turns the corner, he encounters a figure standing alone in the distance. Sasuke calls for the person to identify himself. A pair of Sharingans stare back at him and the lone figure calls out Sasuke’s name. Having finally found his brother Itachi, Sasuke immediately activates his Sharingans in preparation for a battle.
