MenuCHAPTER 362 - Ultimate Art
Deidara cannot believe the advantage
Sasuke’s eyes have given him in the battle by not only
detecting his C4 nano-bombs but also the locations of his hidden
mines. He asks Sasuke what he would have done if he
couldn’t neutralize the bombs. Sasuke responds that he had
two options at his disposal, but it seems he only needed one of them to
deal with Deidara.![]() Sasuke begins walking towards Deidara and demands to know Itachi’s whereabouts. Deidara attempts to get up but his whole body trembles and something starts to shake in his chest. Unable to stand up, Deidara instead launches two clay snakes from his palm mouths at Sasuke’s legs. But as soon as they wrap around Sasuke’s ankles, Sasuke initiates his Chidori Current and renders them immobile. However, Sasuke used his last bit of chakra in the last move and he falls to his knees, panting in exhaustion.Deidara gains confidence and tells Sasuke that he will defeat him because even if he cannot move, his bombs can still explode. But Sasuke does not react in the least and only
glares back at his opponent. Deidara comments to Sasuke that
he should at least show some fear considering the situation, yet Sasuke
remains composed and simply stares back with his Sharingans.
Deidara begins to laugh and then suddenly breaks out into an outburst
and shouts to Sasuke that he is just like Itachi and that pisses him
off. The Sharingans drive him mad because, to him, they
appear to look down upon his art without any amazement as if silently
criticizing them.
Sasuke responds that he doesn’t give a
damn about his art and repeats to Deidara to tell him where Itachi
is. To conserve chakra, Sasuke even turns off his
Sharingans. This was the last straw for Deidara; not only has
Sasuke brushed aside his art, but now he is underestimating him by not
using his Sharingans anymore. Deidara pulls his shirt off to
reveal a pattern drawn on his chest with a wide slit in the middle sewn
shut by black thread (likely Kakuzu’s tendrils).
Deidara pulls apart the thread, and immediately the slit opens to
reveal a large mouth embedded directly into his chest. He
then grabs a large lump of clay and feeds it into the mouth.
Dark veins begin to spread throughout his body and Deidara proclaims he
will perform his ultimate art. He will blow himself up in an
unimaginable explosion, thereby making himself into a piece of
art. He declares that his art will finally have the praises
it deserves and tells Sasuke he will certainly die because the
explosive radius is over ten
kilometers. Sasuke attempts to get to his feet, but his chakra is
nearly depleted and he cannot even stand up. Deidara silently
apologizes to Tobi because he would likely be caught as well in the
explosive wave.As the veins begin to grow even denser, Deidara’s body begins to disappear until its shape is almost entirely composed of the veins. The veins then concentrate into a black sphere in the middle of his chest that begins to crack. Deidara tells Sasuke to be frightened, to admire, to despair and to shout because his art is a bang. The black sphere finally cracks open and detonates, sending an enormous column of light into the sky and destructive shockwaves all around.
