Deidara spews out a tremendous amount of
clay. Sasuke stares in disbelief as a gigantic clay replica
of Deidara towers above the forest canopy. Deidara is panting
heavily, but still wears a sinister grin. He had created this
jutsu especially to defeat Itachi, but taking out his little brother
would have to do. Realizing the devastation such an enormous
bomb will cause, Sasuke retreats quickly to get out of its  explosive
radius. Deidara makes taunts at Sasuke and tells him there is
no way he can get away from the explosion of his C-4 Garuda (the name
of the giant bomb). He then puts his hands together to
activate a seal to trigger Garuda's explosion.The Garuda balloons and then pops, but strangely the clay fragments just crumble away with no explosion in sight. At first Sauske thinks it might have been a dud, but his Sharingan tells him that danger is approaching. As Sasuke continues to run away, Deidara declares that he is the winner and detonates his bombs. At first 
 nothing
appears to be
happening, then suddenly all the birds and other animals in the area
begin to fragment and break into tiny pieces. Sasuke too is
affected; fractures and holes begin to cover his body and continue to
expand until his entire body is reduced to tiny  pieces.Deidara lets out his victory laugh and declares his masterpiece a success. Tobi stops fleeing and looks back at Deidara’s handiwork. The giant clay 
Deidara bomb was only a front to hide the fact that it was really
composed of millions of tiny nano-bombs. The bombs are
microscopic in size and easily inhaled by living creatures as they
disperse through the air. They quickly spread throughout the
body, at which point Deidara detonates them. The millions of
micro-explosions attack at the cellular level and literally turn the
body to dust from the inside out.
Deidara comments that he needs to thank Itachi
for “this.” He lifts his hair out of the
way and opens his left eye; the pupil immediately contracts.
He once again raises his arms into the air to celebrate his victory,
but suddenly feels Sasuke’s Sharingans staring at him from
behind. Before Deidara can fully turn around, Sasuke has
already closed in on him. He is in his Cursed Seal level 2
state
and already has Chidori formed in his left
hand, Sasuke thrusts it into Deidara’s chest and punches
through to the other side. He tells Deidara that he is
too slow because he used too much chakra in his last
attack. Deidara curses Sasuke’s Sharingan  eyes. The Sharigan is able to see
chakra in color.
Sasuke had noticed the cloud of chakra from the nano-bombs following
the crumbling of the C-4
Garuda. He also noticed that Deidara was flying just outside
of the cloud, so he did the same. Sasuke also reveals that he
used genjutsu to fake his own death so Deidara would lower his
guard. Sasuke’s thrust missed Deidara’s
heart on purpose because he wants to know where Itachi is.  But Deidara only laughs and
replies to Sasuke
that what he said earlier about thanking Itachi wasn’t
concerning the C-4 Garuda jutsu. Deidara’s hand
suddenly pops out from the clay bird they are still riding on and grabs
hold
of Sasuke’s leg. What Sasuke
had stabbed was a clay clone, and it now traps his hand.
Deidara tells Sasuke that he saw right through the genjutsu because it
is the same as Itachi’s. Ever since the day he was defeated
by Itachi, Deidara has been training his left eye to counter the
effects of the Sharigan’s genjutsu techniques.
Deidara laughs madly and tells Sasuke to prepare for the end as he is
about to taste the true C-4 bomb.
