MenuCHAPTER 354 - Those on the Move
The conversation continues in Tsunade’s
office. She
agrees that Naruto and the others need to pursue Itachi Uchiha to get
to Sasuke, but wonders if they can handle him when they face
Itachi. Kakashi thinks one four-man team won’t be
enough. Sakura agrees and explains to Naruto that they need
to
capture Itachi, but to do that they need more people. Kakashi suggests
that two small teams will be enough since their objective is only to
capture one or two people. What they need are shinobi with
techniques made for capturing rather than killing, and also  have
been on missions together so that they have good teamwork.
Kakashi has already picked out some people that will fulfill those
roles and calls them into the office.
Sasuke and his team arrive at the abandoned ruins of a
modern
looking city. They enter one of the buildings with a sign
that
reads “Soraku” or “Sky
Area.” As they
head through a maze of tunnels, Sasuke explains that this place is a
weapons house the Uchiha clan once used. Karin notes that the
air
is thin and the feel of the place irritates her. Two ninja
cats
come out to greet  Sasuke,
their names are Denka and Hina. Suigetsu calls them talking
tanuki (a species of raccoon dogs found in Japan) and tries to pet
them, but almost gets clawed in return. Sasuke tells them
they
need weapons and medicine and offers the cats a bottle of matatabi (a
form of catnip) so that they’d lead him to the Granny Cat.
A short time later, Sasuke’s team arrives inside a
room
where an elderly woman sits while surrounded by many cats. Granny Cat
has known Sasuke and Itachi since they were very young, and
can’t
believe that they are the only  remaining
members of the Uchiha clan. She assumes Sasuke is planning on
going after Itachi. Sasuke doesn’t answer and
simply thanks
the Granny Cat and pays for his supplies. A young girl who is
the
granddaughter of the Granny Cat is having trouble finding clothes to
fit Jugo’s large frame. Granny Cat tells her to
just wrap
him in a curtain, but the girl insists they should do better since they
are being paid. Jugo,  however, grabs the nearest curtain and wraps it
around himself, seemingly satisfied with his new clothes.A few days have passed and the Akatsuki members have finished the ritual to seal the essence of the Four-Tails beast demon. Only two more eyes on that sealing statue remain open, those for the Five-Tails and the  Nine-Tails.
Deidara begins to openly state what he plans on doing next in an
attempt to provoke Itachi. Deidara wants to pay back Naruto
for
the hitting him and also Kakashi for taking his right arm. He
also appears to have a grudge against Sasuke because he wanted to kill
Orochimaru himself. Tobi tries to get him to stop since
they’ve both already finished their missions, but Deidara
isn’t listening and orders Tobi to follow. Kisame
asks
Itachi if he is alright with Deidara doing as he pleases.
Itachi
remains silent.It begins to rain heavily outside. Sasuke and team Hebi head out draped in dark, ankle-length cloaks. At that moment, Naruto also prepares to depart from Konoha with the members of the newly formed eight-man team. Under Yamato’s leadership are Naruto, Sai and Sakura, while Kakashi is in command of Kiba, Shino and Hinata. Kakashi complains about the lousy weather, but Kiba comments it will cool off Naruto’s hot head.
