MenuCHAPTER 343 - Be Merciless 
won’t be able to defeat Itachi. Sasuke retrieves
his Kusanagi Sword and replies that he will become merciless at the
time when he faces his brother. As Sasuke walks away,
Orochimaru notes that the fact Sasuke did not receive a single injury
in this battle makes himself look pitiful when he was
Sasuke’s age. But this also makes Orochimaru all the more
eager to take over Sasuke’s body. And that time is
quickly approaching.In Konoha, Naruto is having some ramen at Ichiraku’s with Sai and Sakura. Because of the injuries he received in the battle against Kakuzu, Naruto’s right arm is in a sling and he is  having
trouble eating with his
left. Sakura looks over and remembers her conversation with
Naruto at the hospital earlier. While she was treating his
arm with medical ninjutsu, she tells Naruto not to use the Spiral
Shuriken too often because his body can’t take the
strain. She warns Naruto that medical ninjutsu
can’t heal everything, but Naruto says it makes him happy
that she is treating him like this because it feels like they are
getting closer to Sasuke together. After remembering
Naruto’s words, Sakura feels like she should give Naruto a
break. She shuffles her seat closer to Naruto’s and
offers to feed him. Naruto can’t believe he is
going to get such special treatment from Sakura, but then Sai picks up
his chopstick and offers to feed him too. Sai says his books
taught him to always help a friend in need. Naruto is angry he ruined
the mood and tells him to forget the book and read the situation
instead. Kakashi then arrives and, to Naruto’s
disappointment, ends up feeding him.
Sakura tells Kakashi she is surprised he
isn’t in a hospital room after their last battle.
Kakashi explains that would be the case if he had used the Mangekyou
Sharingan. However, Naruto and the others arrived just in
time, so there was no need this time. Kakashi turns to Naruto
and tells the young shinobi that he has indeed become very strong;
strong enough to stand side-by-side or even surpassing
himself. But he warns Naruto that with greater and more
powerful jutsus, there is also greater risk to the user.At one of his underground hideouts, Orochimaru lays in bed sweating and in severe pain. Kabuto is treating him and tells  Orochimaru
his body is nearing its limit and they need to treat
him with special rank 10 medicine right away. As Kabuto
leaves to retrieve the medicine, Orochimaru continues to cough
violently and spits up blood. Suddenly, an elongating blade
composed of chakra pierces through the door and shoots directly towards
Orochimaru. In his weakened state, Orochimaru has no choice
but to attempt to block the attack with his arms.  The chakra blade impales
his arms, but Orochimaru
has never seen this type of chakra composition manipulation before. He
asks his attacker to identify himself. In an instant, the
door to the room is sliced to pieces. Emerging from the
opening is Sasuke; he has gained the ability to mould
Chidori’s shape but hid it from Orochimaru until this
day. Orochimaru comments that he had thought this day would
come eventually. Sasuke coldly tells Orochimaru that he has
nothing to learn from him anymore. Sasuke activates his
cursed seal and tells Orochimaru it appears he can become merciless in
front of him as well.
