MenuCHAPTER 326 - Desired Pain  Kakuzu carries
Hidan’s head towards his body. Hidan complains
about the pain of being held by his hair, but Kakauzu tells him to
worry more about the pain in his neck. Hidan then begins to
scream at Asuma for all pain he has put him through. Asuma
and the others are not sure how to respond at the situation in front of
them. Shikamaru reminds everyone that immortal or not,
without a body Hidan cannot perform any jutsus. Although
Asuma is wounded and Shikamaru is at his limit, they did manage to
render one of the Akatuski members immobile. Asuma considers
this as an opportunity to retreat, but before he can formulate a plan
Kakuzu suddenly rushes forward  and
knocks him over with a strong kick.Kakuzu lands beside Hidan’s body. He bends down and reattaches Hidan’s head to his body. While holding the head in place, a thin black tendril appears from Kakuzu’s sleeve and begins to literally sew Hidan’s head back on. After a few seconds, Hidan  gets back to his feet like nothing had
happened. Kakuzu tells him not to move too much or
it’ll come off again. Asuma’s team can do
nothing but watch in horror as the enemy they worked so hard to kill is
brought back so easily. Kakuzu is tired of waiting for Hidan
to handle the Konoha ninja and tells him to take care of Asuma while he
goes after the rest. Kotetsu and Izumo get ready to take on Kakuzu. Kotetsu summons a giant mace-like weapon and charges at Kakuzu with Izumo backing him up. When Kakuzu begins to charge towards them as well, Izumo performs a water element jutsu called Field of Molasses  (Mizumame Nabara) and floods the ground in front
of them with a liquid. When Kakuzu enters the liquid, he
suddenly realizes it sticks to his feet and prevents him from moving
any further. Kotetsu, on the other hand, has channeled chakra
to his feet to allow him to walk freely on the liquid. Once
within range, Kotetsu leaps into the air to deliver a hard blow against
the immobile Kakuzu with his mace. But Kakuzu has literally
more tricks up his sleeves. He crosses his two hands,
revealing a series of stitch marks on each one which  attach them to his arms. Kakuzu releases the
stitching and launches his hands at Izumo and Kotetsu, catching them in
the neck in choke holds.Seeing his team in danger, Asuma begins to act and reforms his chakra  sword to take on Hidan again. His
first swipe misses his mark as Hidan jumps back. In
retaliation, Hidan throws his spike at Asuma like a javelin which Asuma
avoids. Asuma suddenly hears Shikamaru’s warning
and sees Hidan’s scythe swinging towards him from
behind. Asuma manages to duck in time to avoid it, and the
scythe subsequently returns to its owner and buries into
Hidan’s midsection. At first Asuma thought he
had outplayed Hidan, but a rush of pain suddenly tells him something is
horribly wrong. Hidan begins to laugh like a maniac
because it is Asuma who has been outdone.  The
scythe has indeed impaled Hidan, but he had stepped back into his
ritualistic circle before the attack connected. Asuma has
received the same severe wound as Hidan and begins to cough up
blood. Hidan readies another long spike and tells Asuma he
will relish in the pain that will kill him. With both Izumo and Kotetsu
caught by Kakuzu, Shikamaru gets to his feet and rushes towards
Asuma’s position. As he yells for Hidan to stop,
Kakuzu comments that Asuma is finished. At that moment, Hidan
plunges his spike deep into his own chest, piercing his heart.
