Asuma and his team arrive at the ruins of the Temple of Fire
in
their search for the attackers from Akatsuki. Although the
courtyard is lined with the coffins of the fallen monks, there is none
for Chiriku because his is the only body
unaccounted for. Izumo, a chuunin on Asuma’s team,
checks
his reports and informs Asuma that an underground organization has put
a 30 million ryou bounty on Chiriku’ head. It is
clear that
Akatsuki took Chiriku’s body to collect the reward
money.
Shikamaru suggests they try to cut them off at the exchange point for
the bounty. According Izumo’s reports, there are
five
exchange points in all. He sends carrier pigeons to inform
the  teams
closest to four of the points while they head for the one closest to
their current position. Before they depart, an elder monk at
the
temple offers Asuma a brief prayer before he goes into battle.At the training ground, Naruto dances for joy after successfully cutting the waterfall with his chakra. Kakashi congratulates him on the good work and says they can now start developing the new jutsu. Naruto releases all his Shadow Clones, but his exhaustion catches up to him and he collapses. Kakashi rushes to his side to see if he is alright, but Naruto replies he is just hungry.  At the Temple of Fire, the elder monk has finished his prayer for Asuma. The monk looks down on the fire emblem Asuma wears on his waistband and asks him to be careful. Like Chiriku, Asuma is also from the Twelve Shinobi Guardsman and has a similar bounty on his head. Asuma grins and says not to worry because his head is worth at least five million ryou more  than
Chiriku’s, and they won’t get it without a fight.Kakashi ends up taking Naruto to his favorite ramen shop, Ichiraku. When they arrive, they are surprised to find Ayame, Teuchi’s daughter, gone. Teuchi informs them that Ayame is on vacation and that he has hired two new cooks, 
Nishi and Matsu, in the meantime. Naruto drools in
anticipation
for his miso ramen with pork, but when Matsu hands it to Naruto, his
thumb accidentally dips into the soup. Teuchi notices the
mistake
and takes the ramen away just as Naruto is about to dig in.
He
slaps Matsu over the head and orders Nishi to make another
one.
Naruto’s hunger worsens as he has to wait again.
But when
Nishi is ready to deliver his ramen to Naruto, he is in such a  rush
that he stumbles and spills the whole thing on Matsu. Teuchi
gives heck to the two rookies for their blunders as Kakashi tries to
calm things down. Naruto, whose ramen has been taken away
again,
looks like he’s about to die. Hidan and Kakuzu arrive at the exchange point. The entrance  to
the secret entrance is hidden behind a urinal in a public
bathroom. A bald man greets Kakuzu and offers Kakuzu his
payment
after confirming the identity of the corpse. Hidan
tells
Kakuzu to hurry up but Kakuzu replies that he needs to count the money
first. Hidan gets impatient and says he can’t even
tell if
the stench is from the piss or the deady body, he heads outside to wait. Back at the Ichiraku ramen shop, Naruto happily gulps down his ramen. Beside him, Yamato is looking glum because ramen is not exactly what he wants to eat after exerting all his energy helping Naruto train. Naruto finishes eating and exclaims he is re-energized and ready to start training again. Kakashi tells him to relax because he has something very cool to show first.
