MenuCHAPTER 312 - A Silently Approaching Menace 
Naruto is in disbelief after Kakashi had suggested he might
be
able to surpass even himself with the new training. Kakashi
explains that he will need to accompany Naruto during the whole thing
because it is going to be
different from anything he has experienced so far. Naruto
will
train to develop a new jutsu of his own, one more powerful than even
the Rasengan. Kakashi admits that acquiring such new power
would
require an equally great amount of time and effort. However,
he
has thought of a brilliant idea for Naruto to do everything in a much
shorter period of time. But before Kakashi can elaborate,
Asuma
barges into the room followed by Shikamaru, Choji and Ino. 
In her office, Tsuande finishes hearing the latest report
from
an ANBU spy. It seems Akatsuki is on the move
again.
Shizune is worried that it will only be a matter of time before they
make a visit to Konoha. Tsuande agrees that this is becoming
troublesome, but also recognizes it as an opportunity to strike at
Akatuski. It is time for her to make a move.
Choji and Shikamaru were initially wary of Sai because of
what happened during their first
encounter, but they calm down after hearing  Sai’s
explanation. Ino whispers to Sakura that she thinks Sai has a
face similar to Sasuke’s. Sakura warns her that
despite his
looks, Sai is socially clueless. Shikamaru walks next to
Naruto
and tells him that he heard about the situation on Sasuke from
Tsunade. He offers Naruto his help if something comes up
again. The issue still seems to trouble Naruto because he
averts
eye contact and only replies with a quiet “yeah.” Asuma announces to everyone that he needs to have a talk with Kakashi so they can go ahead over to “Yakiniku Q” and eat. Naruto calls on Kakashi to tell him more about the special training first, but Kakshi tells him they can do it later. 
At the restaurant, Naruto, Choji, Sakura, Ino and Sai are
gathered around a table while their meat is being cooked on small
grills. Shikamaru is absent because he went off with his
father
to gather some medicinal horns. Choji, drooling at the mouth,
wants to start eating Shikamaru’s share but Ino
scolds him for not having introduced
themselves to Sai yet. After Choji’s formal greeting, Sai
attempts to think of a nickname for him. He begins to say the
word “fatso”, but is immediately stopped by Naruto
who
warns him to never say that word  to
Choji. Next, Ino greets Sai cheerfully while Sakura looks on
with
an evil smile waiting to see what kind of nickname Sai will brand her
with. But it seems Sai has learned his lesson and realizes that telling
women exactly how they
look will only get them mad. Instead he calls Ino the
opposite of
what he thinks: Ms. Beautiful. Sakura becomes enraged that
Ino
gets “Ms. Beautiful” while she gets “Ugly
Dog.” Once again, Sai experiences the raw fury of
Inner
Sakura.In an undisclosed location, a female shinobi, wearing the headband of the Hidden Village of the Clouds, runs frantically through an aqueduct system. As  she
reaches the exit of a tunnel, an immense scythe-like weapon is suddenly
launched from behind. She narrowly dodges the weapon as it
hits
the water. Appearing from the shadow of the tunnel are the
two
members of Akatsuki named Hidan and Kakuzu. Hidan is pleased
they’ve finally cornered the last tailed beast they were
assigned
to capture. Kakuzu warns Hidan that the woman
they’re
facing possesses the Two-Tail and will kill him if he is not
careful. But Hidan seems to welcome the idea because he wants
to
get this whole thing over with.
