MenuCHAPTER 301 - Sai and Sasuke 
Even as Naruto, Sakura and Yamato race towards
Orochimaru’s lair, Sai has already come face to face with
their
target, Sasuke Uchiha. Sai puts on
his fake smile and tries to politely greet Sasuke, but Sasuke tells him
to get lost. Sai comments that Naruto had a similar reaction
when
they first met, but compared to him Sai believes he can get along with
Sasuke better. The mention of Naruto’s name seems
to catch
Sasuke’s attention. He uses his Sharingan on Sai
and
immediately paralyzes him, causing him to fall to ground. Even though Sai is incapable of emotion, his body began sweating on its own. Sasuke’s Sharingan was able to instill fear inside him even when Sai did not consciously recognize it himself. Orochimaru warns Sai not to provoke Sasuke too 
much since he is even harder to deal with than himself, yet Sai
continues to speak to Sasuke. He mentions that Naruto has
been
searching for him this whole time because he considers Sasuke to be
like his own brother. Sasuke coldly replies that he has only
one
brother, and that is the man he has sworn to kill. And with
that
Sasuke vanishes. Orochimaru hands Kabuto the documents
brought by
Sai and asks him to compile the  data.
Inside are the complete profiles of Konoha’s ANBU, the
Hokage’s personal troop division, and they appear to be
genuine.Naruto and the others have reached the entrance to Orochimaru’s lair. Before they enter, Yamato gives Naruto and Sakura each a wooden pellet to 
swallow. They are special pellets that will react to
Yamato’s chakra and will act as tracking devices if they
become
separated inside the lair. The same pellets are already  planted
inside Sai, which is how Yamato was able to track him down.
When
Yamato treated everyone at the hot springs hotel earlier, he took the
opportunity to plant the wood pellets inside Sai’s food and
clothing. Tsunade had been suspicious of Sai from the
beginning
and it looks like the extra precautions she asked Yamato to take have
paid off.With the tracking devices planted, Yamato, Naruto and Sakura prepare to head into Orchimaru’s domain.
