MenuCHAPTER 300 - Sai's Picture Book 
Orochimaru, Kabuto and Sai make a quick stop by a stream to get
drinking water. 
Kabuto meticulously washes the blood from his surgery
scalpels.
Orochimaru asks him to do it a later time but Kabuto insists he must
wash them now or they’ll rust. Since he had to use
a corpse
for the fake body diversion earlier, Kabuto asks Orochimaru to provide
him with a replacement as soon as they get back to the lair.
Being a perfectionist, it bugs Kabuto to no end that his summoning
scroll is missing a male corpse in the 15-16 age group. Sai
sifts
through his pack and discovers that he had lost his  storybook. But he keeps his silence and
proceeds on to Orochimaru’s lair.Further back in the forest, Sakura, Naruto and Yamato gather around to 
look inside Sai’s book. Yamato suggests that they
can
figure out something about Sai if they discover the meaning in the
storybook. On the front and back covers of the book are two
boys,
one with white hair and with black hair. The story of each boy begins
on opposite covers and progress forward in time towards the center of
the book. However, the characters are always silent and the
pictures always depict them  in battle.
As Sakura flips through the pages, Naruto notices that while
the
same black haired boy faces a different enemy on each page, he takes up
his
previous opponent’s weapon and armor on the subsequent
page. The story of the white haired boy follows the same
pattern. Both boys grow up while vanquishing enemies and are
supposed to meet in the middle, except the center page is
unfinished. They agree that the black haired boy looks
similar to
Sai, but then  who
is the other boy? From a previous conversation with Sai,
Sakura
believes it is his brother. The reason why the
center pages
are unfinished may be because Sai’s brother is
dead. Just
then, Yamato receives a radio transmission from his clone. It
seems he has found Orochimaru’s lair. As Orochimaru and the others enter the underground cavern, they are met by a lone figure sitting in the shadows. Impudently, he reminds Orochimaru  that
he was going to teach a new jutsu to him that afternoon.
Kabuto
tells him to watch his mouth, but Orochimaru does not seem to
mind. Instead, he offers to introduce Sai since they both
come
from the same village. From the pair of Sharingan eyes
staring
back at him, Sai knew right away that he had found Sasuke Uchiha.
