Orochimaru watches on as Naruto’s
fourth tail is nearly complete. In a dream state, Naruto is
desperately chasing after an illusion of Sasuke. He calls for
Sasuke to stop, but the figure moves further away. Water
suddenly begins to rise around him and Naruto is soon
submerged. The gate behind which Kyuubi is locked inside
Naruto then appears. Naruto seems to go into a trance-like
state and willingly goes through the bars of the gate. He is
in Kyuubi’s domain now, and the demon fox clamps his claws
around him in a crushing motion. In the real world, something suddenly snaps
inside Naruto and he begins to go through a completely new phase of
transformation. Blood begins to seep out everywhere on his
body, seemingly being pulled to the surface by the chakra
shroud. The blood starts to cover Naruto’s body in
a black and red mass. Some of it is vaporized by the chakra
shroud, leaving a distinct blackish trail ascending into the
sky. Orochimaru watches from a treetop, the sensation he
feels from this new transformation is very different than anything
before.
Yamato manages to get Sakura to safety after her
fall from the bridge. She regains consciousness but is
disorientated. They both notice the black vapor trail in the
distance. Yamato knows something bad is happening and forms a
wooden clone to investigate. Inside the forest where Kabuto landed after being hit by Naruto’s  explosion, the medical ninja manages to heal
his wounds. After feeling the full force of the power of a
Jinchuuriki, he understands why Akatuski is seeking to obtain it for
themselves. Sai approaches the location of Naruto and Orochimaru’s battle
from  the sky. Now that Naruto has transformed again,
it’s going to be more difficult to complete his
mission. Yamato’s clone rides a wooden girder across the gap where the bridge once stood. But as soon as he lands on the other side, he senses an impending danger approaching. Naruto is about to finish the last part of his transformation, he lets out a defeaning howl and sends a destructive shockwave in every direction. The immense explosion sends trees and debris flying everywhere, Yamato’s clone quickly uses a jutsu called  Entwined Wooden Rampart (Mokuton Moku Jouheki) to
erect a wooden structure to shield him from the blast. In the
sky, Sai is not spared either and the shockwave completely tears his
ink bird into shreds.In the aftermath, Sai somehow manages to land safely into the treetop of the surrounding forest. Yamato’s clone also came out unscathed and continues to  make
his way to where Naruto and Orochimaru are located. The
explosion left a gigantic crater expanding from Naruto’s
position. Orochimaru managed to evade most of the blast by
hugging close to the ground. He seems even more excited now
and is anxious to see what Naruto will do next.As Yamato’s clone reaches the clearing, he suddenly catches sight of the new Naruto through the dust and smoke. Naruto’s body is now completely covered by a black substance. There are almost no signs of Naruto’s original features left. As Yamato sees the four distinct tails emerging from Naruto’s body, he knows this is the worst possible scenario for this mission.
