MenuCHAPTER 274 - A Dream Unrealized 
Sakura has been stabbed clear through her abdomen by Sasori
but still manages to keep standing. Chiyo attempts to stand
up and help her but the poison in her system has already paralyzed most
of her body. Sakura urges Chiyo to hurry and take the antidote. Sasori
reminds Sakura of her own dire situation by thrusting the sword
deeper. Sakura fights the immense pain and even begins to
channel her chakra into the wound to stop the bleeding and heal
herself. But the blade Sasori is using is also poisoned and
it is already taking effect  on
her. Sakura realizes she can no longer heal herself properly
because the poison is impeding her ability to channel chakra properly.Chiyo is able to retrieve their last antidote with the remaining control she has left in her hands, but she injects it into Sakura instead of herself,  surprising both Sasori and Sakura.
Chiyo then collapses to the ground. Sasori seizes the
opportunity and attempts to draw out the sword from Sakura in order to
finish off Chiyo. But Sakura intervenes by grabbing onto the
blade of the sword with her hands; the antidote has already begun
working. Yet Sasori still has more tricks up his sleeve. He detaches the arm holding the sword, revealing a short blade protruding from the joint. He lunges at Chiyo,  but falls right into her trap. Chiyo
still has some mobility left and triggers a group of chakra threads she
had concealed. Out of nowhere, the puppets of Sasori’s
parents close in on him from both sides and pierce his body with
swords, specifically the capsule embedded in his chest. The
capsule contains the
only remaining part of Sasori’s real body and allows him to
control chakra even though the rest of his body is made of puppet
parts. It is Sasori’s weak point and Chiyo
knows this. Chiyo had also set-up a chakra suppression seal
on the ground beneath them while Sasori was distracted.
Sasori is now  completely
immobilized with no chakra left at his disposal.Sakura’s injury proves too much for her and she collapses to the ground. Chiyo kneels down beside her and begins pulling out the poisoned blade while healing her wound at the same time. Sasori tells her its pointless because he hit a vital spot and Sakura has lost too much blood. He  knew both of them were medical ninja, so he
struck Sakura in a spot that couldn’t be easily reached by
medical jutsu. But Chiyo is not concerned, she tells Sasori
she is not using medical jutsu on Sakura anymore. Chiyo is
applying a jutsu she personally developed called Life Transfer (tensei)
Jutsu. With this technique Chiyo can even give life to
puppets, but at the cost of shortening her own life. She
originally developed the jutsu for Sasori’s sake.
Chiyo planned on giving life to the puppets of Sasori’s
parents in order to replace the parents Sasori had lost at a young
age. But it is a dream that has long since lost its meaning
and can no longer be realized.
