 CHAPTER 269 - What I Can Do

Chiyo creates a personal chakra shield     The shards of iron sand needles crash into both Sakura and Chiyo’sThe iron sand does it's job position at the same time.   Sakura is saved by the chakra shield generated from the puppet of Sasori’s mother, but Chiyo did not leave herself undefended.  She manages to create her own chakra shield with her right arm, which is actually a prosthetic  puppet arm.  But like the last attack, the secondary effect of the iron sand renders both her own arm and her remaining puppet immobile.

    Sasori mocks at Chiyo’s predicament, saying that a puppeteer without her puppets is no better than a regular person.  Even more iron sand is released from the Sandaime puppet, they form two gigantic geometric shapes and also wing-like structures on the Sandiame’s back. With things looking grim, Chiyo orders Sakura to escape before it is too late.  Starring at the next attack Sasori has in store for them, Sakura’s hand begins to tremble. Sakura steps up However, Sakura clenches it Saosori's new tactic with the iron sandinto a fist and gathers her courage.  She tells Chiyo to once again use her as a puppet.  One of the things she learned from Tsunade was a hate of losing.  Chiyo reluctantly agrees but warns her that she won’t be able to support her as much this time since she only has one hand left.  Also, any metal weapons will not work against the Sandaime since he can manipulate magnetism.  This is perfect for Sakura because the other thing she learned from Tsunade was hand-to-hand combat.

    Sasori scoffs at Sakura and Chiyo for using the same trick again.  The triangular Sakura's determinationshaped iron sand structure suddenly elongates and thrusts towards Sakura.  She is able to avoid it and the impact of the iron sand punctures a hole through the solid stone wall of the cave.  Sakura regains her footing only to realize the second iron sand structure is about to crush her from above.  Sakura manages to dive out of the way of the fallng rectangular block and quickly rebounds to make a counterattack.  With one punch she sends the enormous block flying across the cave and crashing into the opposite wall.



    Both Chiyo and Sasori are amazed at Sakura’s display of superhuman strength.  Catching her breath, Sakura proclaims that the fight’s only starting.
