Chiyo has summoned the puppet forms of
Sasori’s father and mother which were his first
creations. Sasori scoffs at Chiyo because bringing out these
puppets is pointless since he already knows all their traps and
secrets. Chiyo doesn’t respond and orders the
puppets to attack. Placing their hands together, a set of
razor wires appears and is stretched out between them. Both
puppets leap toward the Sandaime and cut his mass of puppet arms into
pieces in seconds. Sasori manipulates Sandaime to
counterattack and the puppets clash in mid-air.
Sasori pulls Sandaime back and sees that all of
his weapons were shredded by Chiyo’s puppets.
Sasori decides it is time to get serious and commands Sandaime to use
his ultimate jutsu. A cloud of black particles flow forth
from the Sandaime’s mouth and begins growing in
mass. Chiyo recognizes the jutsu as “iron
sand”, a technique only the Sandaime was able to use and was
also what made him the most powerful Kazkage in
Sand‘s history. Sandaime had the unique ability to
change his chakra into magnetic force, this ability allows him to mould
metallic sand into any weapon he wants to suit the situation.
Sakura questions how a mere puppet can use the jutsu of a real
person. Chiyo explains that Sasori is the only person who is
capable of making a human puppet. Since the puppet was made
from an originally living body, it is a natural storage container for
 the chakra of the previous living person. By controlling the
human puppet, Sasori also gains the ability to control its previous
chakra and hence can master the use of its jutsus. Chiyo believes the situation has become too dangerous and orders Sakura to leave at once. But Sasori has already began attacking. He uses a jutsu called Iron Sand Drizzle and causes a storm of hundreds of droplets of metallic sand to be fired at Sakura and Chiyo at an astonishing speed. Chiyo acts fast and orders the puppet of Sasori’s mother to grab Sakura and get her out of the way. The impact of the iron sand attack forms holes in the solid rock inside the cave, but Chiyo manages to avoid injury by using  the puppet of Sasori’s
father to erect a chakra shield. Sasori applauds Chiyo for
upgrading his old puppets with new features, but even so it is only
delaying the inevitable. An out of breath Chiyo attempts to
retract the chakra shield and realizes the secondary effect of
Sandaime’s iron sand technique. The magnetic sand
has seeped into the joints of the puppet, immobilizing it.Sasori gloats that Chiyo should have known that the iron sand jutsu is unblockable and must be avoided completely. But Chiyo’s only concern was to get Sakura out of danger, and had to sacrifice a puppet in the process. Sasori now change the shape of the iron sand into needles and orders an attack on both Chiyo and Sakura at once. With only one puppet left, there’s no way Chiyo can save both of them.
