MenuCHAPTER 264 - Sasori's Fine Art
Naruto yells at the motionless Gaara to wake up, but Kakashi
and
the others understand what has happened. When Deidara tells
Naruto that Gaara is dead, he goes berserk. Screaming for
them to
give Gaara back, Naruto starts to charge at them but Kakashi restrains
him. The two standing before them are far too powerful to be
dealt with without careful planning.Sasori tells Deidara he will take care of the Kyubi Jinchuuriki, Naruto. However, Deidara insists that he should be the one to capture Naruto because his skills will dull if he doesn‘t challenge himself with tougher opponents. Their conversation then extends to a discussion on the fine art of weapons and destruction. While Sasori proclaims that fine art is something wonderfully beautiful like his puppets
which will last for an eternity, Deidara argues fine art is only seen
in the fleeting moment of his explosions.Their ignorance frustrates Naruto. He summons a large shuriken from a scroll and launches it at the pair. Without even interrupting their conversation, Sasori deflects the shuriken with a snap of his tail. Tired of their argument, Deidara takes Gaara’s body inside his clay bird’s mouth. Sasori makes a swing at him with his tail, but Deidara
dodges it by leaping on the back of his bird and says
farewell.
Just as Deidara had planned, Naruto chases after him to retrieve
Gaara’s body. Kakashi has no choice but to split up
his
group in order to back up Naruto. He
leaves Sakura and Chiyo to hold off Sasori, but tells them not to
overdo it until Team Guy returns. Kakashi and Naruto confront
Deidara outside the cave. Realizing the dangerous battle
about to
take place, Kakashi takes no chances and unveils his Sharingan eye.Sakura can tell just by looking at Sasori that there is a great difference in battle experience between herself and the Akatsuki member. She becomes unnerved when
thinking about the large number of opponents a high ranking ninja like
Sasori must have killed. Chiyo tells Sakura not to worry and
to
stay
behind her. Reaching into her sleeves, she triggers a pair of
wires and launches a wave of fifteen kunai at Sasori. But
they
are all easily blocked by his tail. Ripping his own cloak
into
tatters, Sasori finally reveals his body’s form.
Sakura is
shocked at the sight of Sasori’s monstrous body, but Chiyo
informs her that it’s not his real body but a
puppet.
Sasori graphically describes how he will make Sakura and Chiyo part of
his human puppet collection once he defeats them. With the
two of
them, it will become exactly 300 bodies. This is
Sasori’s
fine art.
