Neji use Byakugan to peer inside the Akatsuki cave and
can’t believe what he sees. Guy attempts to break the
boulder blocking the entrance with a strike but is stopped by a powerful barrier. Naruto and the others continue to race to the hideout through the forest. As Naruto’s thoughts turn to Gaara and what he has been put through in his life, he beomes angrier and rushes even faster. Chiyo is surprised why a ninja from another village would care so much for the Sand’s Kazekage. Kakashi informs her that Naruto is also a Jinchuuriki, he has the  Nine-Tailed
Demon Fox Kyuubi sealed inside him. More than anyone else, Naruto
understands the suffering Gaara has gone through as a fellow
Jinchuuriki. Being from Konoha or Sand is meaningless, Naruto
wants to save Gaara because he is a friend who shares the same pain and
burden as himself. Although Naruto was jealous when he heard
Gaara had become Kazekage before he became Hokage, he was also deeply
glad for Gaara’s achievement. Kakashi comments that Naruto
has a mysterious gift to easily become friends with anyone.After hearing this, Chiyo reflects on her own actions in the past. She reveals that she was the one who performed the  jutsu
to seal the One-Tailed Shukaku inside Gaara. At the time, Chiyo
thought her action were done to protect the village, but the result was
that it brought more hardship for the Sand. She had always
distrusted alliances with other shinobi villages, but now ninja from a
village that
was once the Sand’s enemy are risking their lives to save their Kazekage. Chiyo admits some of her choices in the
past may have been wrong. After seeing the strong will and energy
of Naruto and Sakura, Chiyo confesses she is envious at the youth of
today and the great things they can accomplish; but adds that even a
senile old fool like  herself may still be of some use.At the entrance to the hideout, Guy discusses with his students on how to break the barrier. At that moment, Kakashi’s team arrives and the two teams from Konoha unite for the first time.
