MenuCHAPTER 260 - Kakashi Versus Itachi 
Naruto is released from Itachi’s genjutsu thanks to Chiyo
and Sakura. He comes to his senses just in time to see Itachi
perform a Fire Release: Grand Fireball aimed at Kakashi. But
Konoha’s Copy Ninja escapes underground and launches an uppercut
from underneath Itachi’s feet. Itachi’s catches his
punch and the two are locked facing each other with Sharigan starring
down at Sharigan. Kakashi becomes trapped by Itachi’s
genjutsu and finds himself in a  dream-like
state where his body is burning. However, this Kakashi seems to
be impervious to the pain. Itachi realizes it was only a shadow
clone.
Kakashi reveals himself from hiding and shouts at Naruto
to finish Itachi off while his clone holds him in place.
Naruto is way ahead of him and rushes forward to team up with his own
shadow clone to perform a powered-up version of the Rasengan called
Grand Sphere Rasengan. Naruto’s attack connects with Itachi
but the Akatsuki member only smirks as the force of the Rasengan consumes him.As Naruto and the others inspect the aftermath of their battle, they see that the corpse of their opponent’s is not that of Itachi’s. Likewise, Team Guy discovered the same thing after they defeated Kisame. Chiyo recognizes the body to be Yuura, a jounin ninja from Sand (see chapter 247). But she finds it hard to believe Yuura would betray Sand since he is one of the most loyal shinobi in the village. Naruto asks if  Yuura
could have impersonated Itachi with Henge (transformation jutsu), but
Kakashi suspects it was a far more powerful jutsu. After all,
Yuura’s version of Itachi could use the Sharigan, a bloodline
limit ability only those of the Uchiha family can use. At the top of a steep cliff at a far away location, the real Kisame and Itachi sense that Itachi’s double had perished. The body doubles were made by the Akatsuki leader using Shouten no Justu (Imitation Shapeshifting Technique). Kisame is pleased that such a powerful justu could be done by sacrificing only 30% of their chakra, even if the imitations would have limited abilities and powers compared to the real deals. At the Akatsuki hide-out, Sasori complains about having to sacrifice two of his subordinates for the jutsu. But their sacrifice has stalled enough time. The extraction ritual on Gaara is nearly complete.
