034 - Intruders?
 Naruto wakes up early in the morning to
join the rest of Team Kakashi for their meeting. Sakura
notices that Naruto and Sasuke have become more competitive with each
after they’ve returned from their mission in Wave
Country. Kakashi shows up three hours later.  Naruto immediately complains about not
getting tougher missions, but he really just wants to show off how he
is better than Sasuke.
The team completes
their mission for the day. Kakashi notes that their teamwork
has been falling lately. Naruto points out that Sasuke is
trying to hog all the spotlight, but Sasuke tells him to stop
complaining and become stronger than him if he’s so
upset.  After facing Haku, Sasuke has realized
that there are tons of ninja out their stronger than himself.
 Kakashi notices a
special hawk in the sky - a signal from the Hokage. He calls it a day
and leaves. Sakura wants to do some more training with just
Sasuke, but is shocked when Sasuke tells her to train more by herself
because her level is below Naruto’s. Naruto waves
to Sakura to train with him when he notices a suspicious looking
camouflaged box behind him with two peep holes in the front.
It’s Konohamaru and his friends Udon and Moegi. He
tries to get out of playing with them when a depressed Sakura arrives,
still brooding over Sasuke‘s words.
 Konohamaru mistakes
her for Naruto’s girlfriend, making Sakura clobber Naruto in
anger. Konohamaru calls Sakura an ugly dog for hitting their
leader. Sakura is not amused and gives Konohamaru a bruise in
the head as well. Konohamaru calls her an ugly, huge
foreheaded girl as Sakura is walking away. Everyone flees as
Sakura rushes back again.
 Konohamaru
accidentally bumps into two foreign ninja wearing headbands from the
Hidden Sand Village. The one in black picks up Konohamaru
roughly and tells him it hurt, the kunoichi beside reminds him they
might get in trouble for this later. Naruto makes a
charge to rescue Konohamaru, but the sand ninja uses a invisible jutsu
to cause him to trip. He comments that Leaf ninja are weak.
In the Hokage’s office, many of the
Jonin of the village have gathered for an announcement. The
Hokage states that the annual Chunnin Exams will commence in a week and
many foreign shinobi are already arriving in Konoha.
