MenuCHAPTER 032 - The Weapon Known as Shinobi  Whipping out two kunai, Kakashi jabs them
at Zabuza, telling him it’s the end. But Zabuza surprisingly
swings his sword again, catching Kakashi off guard. Kakashi stops the
attack by slamming his kunai into Zabuza's arm. The sword flies across
the ground. Both of Zabuza’s arms were now useless,
preventing them from using hand seals. All of a sudden, Gatou appears
on the other end of the bridge with a militia of men, taunting Zabuza
for getting beat. Zabuza asks about all these men. Gatou explains that
this has been part of the plan all along. He plans on killing Zabuza,
without paying him.  Gatou explains that hiring local ninja can be a hassle, so he gets missing-nins like Zabuza, who are easy to take care of afterwards. The only problem, he says, is him. Gatou starts to make jokes about Zabuza's "devil" nickname. Naruto is worried about the sheer number of enemies. Kakashi and Zabuza both agree that there is no more reason for them to keep fighting, both look at the mass of enemies approaching.  Gatou approaches
Haku's body, he is still upset about Haku breaking his arm. He
shamelessly kicks Haku's dead body, angering Naruto. Naruto runs after
him, but Kakashi stops him because the situation is dangerous. Naruto
asks Zabuza why he doesn't speak up
for Haku. Zabuza explains that he used Haku just like Gatou used him.
Shinobi are just tools, and that he has no regrets. Naruto can't believe it, but Kakashi tells Naruto to stop but
Naruto runs after Zabuza, still calling him the enemy. Naruto remembers Haku's words in the forest. He tells Zabuza that he was the most important person to Haku. Naruto asks how Zabuza can become so heartless. While in tears, he asks if he will really be like that too  when he becomes a real shinobi. Naruto
tells Zabuza that Haku threw away his own dreams in order to protect
Zabuza and become his tool. Zabuza tells Naruto that he has
said enough. Zabuza is actually crying... He reveals that
Haku never wanted to fight them because he was too kind; he only fought
for them for him. Zabuza tells Naruto
that he is right and that he is happy to have faced them in battle.
Zabuza states that shinobi are people too, and then asks to borrow
Naruto's kunai. Zabuza pulls back the mask over his mouth, revealing
shark-like teeth. He  catches Naruto's kunai in his mouth, and
dashes for Gatou. Gatou runs back to
the men in fear, telling them to kill everybody. As Zabuza charges at
them, Gatou’s men think Zabuza is crazy for trying to fight
them all. But as he approaches closer, the men see the image of a devil
above Zabuza in the mist. Zabuza barrels through the men, receiving
some bad wounds, but kills any man he comes in contact with only the
Zabuza's body is pierced with weapons and is bleeding heavily. He collapses to the ground. One last time, he says thank you and goodbye to Haku. Summary provided by ssi sasuke |
