030 - Your Future Is...
 Zabuza refuses to believe Kakashi's
cockiness regarding the outcome of their battle. Kakashi tells him that
it’s over and that there is no more hope for him. Kakashi
explains that Zabuza's ambitions were too great. After a failed attempt
at killing the Mizukage (Leader of the Village Hidden in the Mist) he
fled and became a missing-nin. His need for money and refuge from
Hunter-nin is probably what caused him to turn to scum like Gatou for
money. Kakashi performs a number of hand seals. Lightning shaped chakra
surges around his body and forms into lightning composed chakra focused
in his right hand. He calls it "Lightning Edge"
(Raikiri). Zabuza is astonished that there is enough chakra gathered to
be seen visibly. Kakashi says he must stop Zabuza, in order to save
Tazuna, and in order to save this country. He tells Zabuza
that he needs to get his priorities straight because he is far too
selfish. Zabuza disregards this and refuses to surrender.
Haku asks Naruto to kill him fast. Naruto doesn't
understand why being strong is everything to Haku. He could surely be
acknowledged for something other than fighting. Haku asks, if they are
so alike, why Naruto cannot  understand, and apologizes to Naruto
because he will need to stain his hands with blood. Naruto asks if this
is the only way, only to hear Haku say it is. Naruto becomes angry and
grabs a kunai from his pouch. He explains that Sasuke had a dream too.
He only wishes that they had met under different circumstances, maybe
they could have become friends.
 Tazuna notices the
mist is clearing up. Sakura notices two figures staring each other down
from across the mist. One of the figures suddenly dashes towards the
other; it is Naruto charging at Haku with his kunai raised.
However, right before he can deliver the blow, Haku stops
him. Haku had sensed that Zabuza was in danger, and
apologizes to Naruto again  because he can't die just yet. Haku
performs a handseal and disappears.
 Zabuza watches in
disbelief as Kakashi runs
towards him at an incredible speed. The force of his chakra is ripping
up the ground as he passes over it. Kakashi lands his electrified
punch. Sakura and Tazuna hear a loud impact, but don't know what has
happened. Blood
is spilled, but whose?
Kakashi's dogs
disappear, leaving behind a scroll with a needle in it on the ground.
When the smoke clears, Haku is standing in between Kakashi and Zabuza,
with Kakashi's fist going right through his chest.
Everybody, including Kakashi, is horrified. Haku
cries out Zabuza's name, but all Zabuza can do is mock Kakashi for
being wrong about his death again.
