CHAPTER
027 - Awakening
Haku is amazed that Sasuke is able to dodge all his attacks. He
commends him for it, but tells him that it won't last much longer. Haku
surprise attacks Sasuke with his needles from a different mirror, but
somehow Sasuke saw it comingand dodgs it again! When
Sasuke looks up at Haku, he has activated the sharingan in both eyes!
His left eye
containes one tomoe, while the right eye has two. Haku can not
believe
it, Sasuke also has a bloodline limit! Haku admits he must end this
fast, he can not last much longer since his mirror jutsu consumes a lot
of chakra. He knows that the longer this fight
goes, the better Sasuke will fair against him, he has to use Naruto
against him, as a weakness. He sends a fatal series of needles right
for Naruto. But Sasuke sees his attack coming and makes a dash for to
intercept.
 Back outside, Kakashi
is bleeding badly from Zabuza's
last attack. Zabuza
can not stop making fun of Kakashi's inability to read him even with
the sharingan, he is actually having fun with this fight. He tells
Kakashi he is about to kill him, and it is his fault his comrades will
die. Sakura refuses to admit that her teammates will lose. Kakashi
agrees, Naruto is determined and Sasuke is a prodigy of the most
outstanding clan in Konoha. Zabuza is surprised to hear the part about
Sasuke. Kakashi confirms his fears, Sasuke is a living, breathing
Uchiha
with the sharingan potential running through his veins. Zabuza now
understands how Sasuke has improved so fast. He is just like Haku.
 Zabuza disappears
again, with Kakashi giving
chase. He tells
Zabuza he has more tricks than just the sharingan. He explains that he
is a former member of Konoha's ANBU team, a group of special
assassins.
He is ready to show Zabuza his own jutsu and takes out a scroll from
his vest.
Back in the cage of mirrors Haku lie on the
ground while Sasuke is
standing in front of the unharmed Naruto. Sasuke is covered in blood
and needles. In the last attack, Sasuke had jumped in front of him
at the last minute and took that fatal barrage of needles for him, but
why?
Sasuke doesn't even know why he did it. Remembering all the bad
experiences they've had in the past, he explains that he had hated
Naruto.
Naruto yells that he never asked for any help, but Sasuke tells him his
body just moved on its own. He then collapses to the ground. In his
last words, Sasuke tells Naruto that he told himself he wouldn't die
until he killed his older brother. He tells Naruto
not to die too.
Naruto
starts to tear up. Haku says that Sasuke managed to land a
blow on him before protecting Naruto, an amazing feat. To be able
protect a person precious to him, Haku explains, Sasuke is a true shinobi
deserving of respect. Haku asks if this is the first of Naruto's
friends
to die. Naruto tells Haku to shut up, he will never forgive him! Naruto
begins transforming and grows fangs and claws. Something is happening
to him. He tells Haku
that he will kill him...
