026 - Crumbling Sharingan
Much to Sakura's surprise, Kakashi is about to reveal the sharingan.
Before he can though, Zabuza charges him, jabbing at him with a kunai.
Kakashi stops it with his hands, but receives a cut on his palm. He
asks Zabuza why he mocked his sharingan if he is so afraid of it.
Zabuza explains that a shinobi's best technique is not something to be
overused in battle, especially in front of the same opponent. Kakashi
praises Zabuza for being the first person to see it twice, but says
there won't be a next time. Zabuza admits that even if he loses,
Kakashi can not beat Haku.
 He explains that ever
since Haku was young, Zabuza has taught him all
sorts of techniques. He has never lost, even against the strongest of
enemies. He admits that with his bloodline limit, Haku's jutsu surpass
even his own; he is a perfect follower. Kakashi however is not
impressed, and wishes to begin.
 But first, Zabuza is
excited to use Kakashi's own line against him,
and tells him that the same jutsu won't work twice against him. He
reveals that in the previous battle, he was losing for a reason, he had
Haku examine every aspect of the battle, revealing everything he
learned to Zabuza later. Therefore, with Haku's advanced intellect, he
came up with a way to defeat it. Zabuza performs Hidden Mist Jutsu,
and begina to disappear in the mist.
 Back in the cage of
mirrors, Naruto is skeptical about how they could
win. Sasuke tells him to just stay alive long enough for Haku to run
out of chakra. He is already getting slower. Back outside,
Sakura remembers what Kakashi told her, and gets ready to
protect Tazuna regardless of Sasuke's situation. Kakashi doubts how
Zabuza could see in such a thick mist. All of a sudden a bunch of
projectiles are sent flying at Kakashi from behind. He
barely blocks
them,
but the fact that he did impresses Zabuza, who appears right behind
him.
To Kakashi's surprise, Zabuza had his eyes closed the whole time. He
disappears again.
Zabuza begins to put
Kakashi down, taunting the uselessness of the
sharingan. He explains that it is all an illusion resulting in Kakashi
being able to copy his opponent's jutsu's and making it look like he
can
see the future. First, Kakashi copies his
movements, then after
confusing him, he appears to be able to read his mind. With genjutsu,
he suggests what technique he should do next, and copies it.
 Zabuza's solution is
to block Kakashi's eye with the mist. And by
closing his eyes, he canot be hypnotized. He can still move however
because he is able to take down opponents by just their sounds. Kakashi
begins to worry about himself and the boys. Suddenly, he sees
Zabuza appear
right behind Sakura and Tazuna. Kakashi dashes in between them, but
Zabuza says he is too late and swings down his sword.
Back in the mirror cage, Naruto is lying on the
ground covered in
needles. Sasuke hears Sakura's screams and wonders what's happening out
there. He is starting to be able to see Haku's movements, and Haku
notices this too. Something is happening to Sasuke...
