007 - Kakashi's Conclusion
Sasuke faces off against Kakashi and immediately
launches
a volley of shurikens. Kakashi jumps away but Sasuke has
prepared
a knife  trap
and uses one his shurikens to trigger it. While
Kakashi is off balance, Sasuke closes in fast to engage in hand-to-hand
combat. He uses a series of kicks and punches to distract
Kakashi
and then goes for the bells. But at the last second, Kakashi pulls away
and puts some more distance between them.
Kakashi acknowledges that Sasuke is different
from Naruto
or Sakura, but Sasuke isn’t interested. He
surprises
Kakashi by
performing the combination of hand seals to carry out a fire
element ninjustu. Kakashi was certain a Genin
wouldn’t have
enough chakra for this level of ninjutsu, yet Sasuke proves him wrong
by unleashing a torrent of flames from his mouth.
But after Sasuke ends his jutsu, Kakashi is
nowhere to be
seen. Sasuke looks around everywhere but Kakashi had been
hiding
underground the whole time.  Kakashi
uses an earth element
jutsu
called ‘Inner Decapitation’ to pull Sasuke into the
ground
and bury him there with only his head sticking out of the ground.
Back at the clearing, Naruto spots the place
where
Kakashi had been hiding their lunches. He takes the food and
plans on eating it by himself when Kakashi shows up
after dealing with
Sasuke. Meanwhile Sakura has awoken from the genjutsu and
searches for Sasuke again. She finds Sasuke still trapped in the ground
but faints again because she thinks Sasuke’s head had really
been
severed. When she wakes up, Sasuke tells her he is going for
the
bells again. Sakura tries to convince Sasuke that they should
just give up now and try again next year. Sasuke  gives
her a
cold
glare and states that he is an avenger and that, no matter what, he
must become stronger than the man he wants to kill.
Before Sasuke can make another attempt, the alarm
clock
rings signalling the end of their test. They meet back at the
clearing, Naruto is tied to one of the tree stumps as punishment for
trying to steal lunch. Kakashi tells them there is no need
for
them to go back to the Academy. At first they think this
means
they all pass, but Kakashi’s
conclusion is that all three of
them
should quit trying to become shinobi.
