As Yamato had feared, the teamwork between Sakura, Naruto and Sai is almost nonexistent. Sakura even goes as far as decking Sai to the ground for insulting Sasuke's name. He gives everyone a choice of either being locked up in a cage for a day to "build their teamwork" or spend the night at a hot springs hostel. Naturally, the hotsprings is chosen. At the baths, Yamato convinces Naruto to not try to peek at Sakura by telling him of a similar situation that happened to Jiraiya and Tsunade. Suspiciously, Yamato returns to their room first and brings out three wooden seeds before ordering everyone a luxurious meal. After a good night’s rest, Sakura wakes up to find Sai drawing by himself outside. She visits him and asks Sai for the title of his picture, but Sai’s response is that he has never named any of the hundreds of drawings he has done - or more correctly, he can’t because he does not feel any emotional attachment to his work. Everyone later set off towards the rendezvous point again. Yamato decides to keep off the main road due to the risk that Sasori may have given Sakura the information to lead them into an Akatsuki trap. After they “set up camp” in Yamato’s custom built house, Yamato gathers everyone and assigns their buddy system teams. To Naruto’s disgust, he is teamed up with Sai. |
