Summary:
With Sakura severely wounded by Sasori's poisoned katana, Chiyo selflessly administers their last antidote to her. Sasori pulls out a concealed blade and attempts to kill Chiyo, but she springs her trap and pierces Sasori with blades held by the puppets of his own parents. The swords stab Sasori in his only vulnerable point, the container holding the last remains of his human body - his heart. Sakura collapses from her injuries and Chiyo rushes to perform medical ninjutsu. Sasori is convinced it is hopeless because he intentionally stabbed Sakura in a critical location that is impossible to heal. But Chiyo tells him she is using Reincarnation jutsu, a technique that gives life to another but requires the sacrifice of her own life. Chiyo originally developed the technique for Sasori because it could even give life to a puppet. But now she admits it is a dream that cannot come true. Because Sakura is not dead yet, Chiyo did not have to give all her life force to revive her. When Sasori says it was too bad that Chiyo didn’t die, Sakura punches him and questions if he is even human. Sasori reveals that he views himself more as a puppet who is imperfect because he has a human core, and will feel nothing if his grandmother died. Before dying, he gives Sakura a reward for beating him. He tells her that in ten days, he is supposed to meet a spy of his inside Orochimaru’s organization. The location is the Bridge of Heaven and Earth in the Hidden Village of Grass. Naruto is still desperately chasing after Deidara. Kakashi has finally finished his preparations and unveils his version of the Mangekyou Sharigan. |
